Makeup News Briefing for the Weekend
Happy Weekend! I thought I’d start off your Friday with another quickie makeup news briefing because if nothing else the makeup world is never boring.
I’m happy to report MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ in Rose, Coconut, and Lavender have returned! If you’re a MAC Fix+ fan I’m sure this is exciting news for you. I’ve actually reviewed all of these in the past if you want to jump back into the archives and see what I thought of them! You can snatch them up at maccosmetics.com.
In other MAC news, their new Weightless Water Concealer is now available at ulta.com, nordstrom.com (Free Shipping), and at maccosmetics.com. For a hot flash it came in stock at Ulta and went out of stock but all shades are now available. I purchased it and will review shortly. I’m quite excited about this one and have hopes it’ll be nice and thin yet have good coverage! We shall see!
And finally MAC news bit of the day they have relaunched their entire makeup brush line with new synthetic bristles and they are available now at nordstrom.com.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer has launched in several brand new shades that the Internet is in an uproar. Age Rewind Concealer is withstood the test of time and has remained one of Maybelline’s best loved products since it’s launch in 2011. I’m still hoping they’ll bring back Dream Mousse Concealer at some point but I’m not holding my breath!
One of the most important bits of news this month would be the injection of the facial sheet mask into the US drugstore world. Expect to see more and more drugstore brands launching face sheet masks this year. Neutrogena, Pacifica, Burt’s Bees, Flower, Beauty, Simple Skincare, St Ives, and many, many other affordable sheet masks are heading to the US market! Let’s hope they are as good as Asian ones!
