It’s Winter! 3.38 oz of Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb Is a Must

The cold, harsh winter started early this year in New York. Our weather is pretty insane lately. We really didn’t have much of a Fall this year since it was fairly warm all through October and into November and suddenly the temperatures dropped rather rapidly. We typically see this weather after the Holiday season but this year it was pretty cold, pretty fast in December. I have to admit I don’t mind much because it made the Holidays feel a bit more festive with snow falling and super chilly nights.

Yesterday, we got piled with snow. Lots of it. As you can imagine it’s pretty hellish on my already dry skin. These next few months I’ll be working very hard to keep my dry skin super moist, dewy, and bright by keeping as hydrated as possible. The key to keeping dull, tired skin at bay is hydration and plenty of it.

Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is definitely one of my must haves in the winter. Truly this is one of Korea’s greatest gems and one of the most intense moisturizers you’re going to come across. The creamy gel texture absorbs easily and apparently it provides 26 hours of moisture which I totally buy into because my skin always feels super moist after I use it for hours on end. It isn’t sticky nor does it leave behind a film. What it does is supply intense hydration to skin giving it a plumped up cushy feel that lasts all day even when you’re walking around in 6 degree weather.

Best part? It now comes in a 3.38 oz size. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I was when I heard they were upping the size from 1.68 oz to 3.38 oz. I use it often so the bigger size was an easy buy for me. But it’s ok if that’s too big for you as they still have it in 1.68 oz for $38 or the mini 0.84 oz for $22 (great size for trying it out).

Belif the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is $62, available at sephora.com, and is very Muse Approved.

Buy it, you won’t regret it!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Oh Muse, I was just looking at the weather report. I truly don’t know how you all do it, those temps are brutal. You’re welcome to come to AZ! I’ve got a big house with a private guest suite. Chilly at night and in the morning, shorts and t shirts in the middle of the day. We can beauty shop and play with makeup until the east coast returns to something inhabitable!!

Please take a look at the Garnier SkinActiv Moisture Bomb and let us know if it is a dupe for this. If a $7 item comes close to duping Belif (which I love, btw), we could all save a lot of money. Thanks!

    • Isabella Muse

sadly not. It contains alcohol and linalool just to list a few problems. Plus it contains more fragrance than moisturizing benefits. I wouldn’t say Garnier’s formula is a dupe for Belif at all. Overtime, Garnier is going to break down collagen plus dry you out further due to the alcohol content. Hope this helps.

  • Laurie

That really helps. Luckily, I picked up a Belif kit during the holidays. Thank you for your quick reply. You are a much more reliable source than the YouTuber who suggested it.

I’m glad to hear it. I’m honestly no great expert on ingredients but Garnier tends to disappoint sometimes with their products :-/ The ideas behind them are so good but the ingredients just suck! aw thanks flattered to hear it <3!

I love this stuff. I switch moisturizers often, but have stuck to this brand for over a year now! It is the most moisturizing moisturizer I have used that doesn’t irritate my skin or leave it sticky/wet feeling. And it’s fairly reasonable priced (for a higher-end brand). I have also been using the water essence from them periodically as my skin has been insanely dry this year. No cold weather here in Cali, but the heat, dryness, and evil winds are wreaking havoc on my skin.

I originally tried Belif this summer at the recommendation of my niece – I started with the ‘try it’ kit or whatever it’s called and have been in-love with it ever since.

When Sephora had the 20% off sale I stocked up on the Belif moisture bomb and the eye cream. I also got a small size of the Boscia deep hydration moisturizer. They have been so wonderful during this almost 3 week spell of sub freezing temps

WHAT! I just repurchased the (previously) biggest tub of it a few weeks ago because I ran out, so I am really sad to hear that they just got made it even bigger… Oh well, next time. I hope they also do that for the aqua bomb version! I have very oily skin with some random dry patches and am in my late-late twenties (hanging on to that for these last few months I have left) and I absolutely love using the moisturizing bomb at night and the aqua bomb in the morning. They moisturizing bomb is so wonderful because I wake up the next morning with my skin still super soft and glowing, and the aqua bomb is the right amount for the daytime. I’m obsessed with the smell of them and can’t force myself to try anything else, mainly because my skin is pretty picky and likes to grow overnight pimples when I try something new it doesn’t like. -_-

    • Isabella Muse

don’t quote me but aqua bomb is also available in 3.38 as well I think ;-D

  • Bethanne

I’m buying it today, thanks to your great review. I am in Georgia and it is a lovely 19 degrees here. This winter has been super cold for us. My skin is SO dry from being in a heated house all day. Many thanks, Muse!

I got the eye jobby as a pointer from S and really like it. Def checking this and the waterbomb out. Maybe the latter for oily/dehydrated/and inverse psoriatic. Gotta effin love my current skin. You are so go to in Korean.

  • Lori Flippin

Belif is now the only moisturizer I use because it truly is the only one that actually helps my dry skin. I love this stuff so much I’d marry it if I could. lol I also love the aqua bomb. I bought the new big one as soon as I saw it on sephora’s site!

  • Dee

I got the Belief kit from Sephora too and am happy that you give these products the thumbs up. I’ve tried the eye cream and really like it.

  • J

I discovered Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb a few months ago and I absolutely Love it!

  • Kris

I got the 1.6 oz recently in a holiday kit Sephora offered when they had their sale. I wished I had known it was coming in a larger size!! I could use this all over my body!! Maybe I will since I can get a larger jar now!!!!!

  • Franca

    Hi and happy new year.

Talking about moisturizing do you know of the belif moisturizer compares with the missha super Aqua snail gel?.

I am just dabbling into Korean skin care and value any advice you can give me.

Oh and by the way, I read your review of th had a labo premium milk and got it yesterday. I really like it.

Just to add that I live in Canada and our winters can be harsh. We are at minus 40 degrees Celsius last week.

    Thanks

  • genevieve

I am going to try and get this one – it sounds pretty good to me.
Just as you didn’t really have an autumn – we here in Melb. Aus didn’t really have a spring. We went straight from cold days, electric blankets on at night to very hot temps throughout November. Luckily Christmas Day was mild, but yesterday was a scorcher at 43 deg. Celsius.
My lipstick bag went in the fridge to stop them melting.
    Stay warm.

    • genevieve

I have just looked this up on Sephora Australia and they are charging $62 for the same size as your $38 one! What a rip off!

  • Kayla

Do you know how it compares to IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Jar Super Cream? I’ve been using it for a while and I like its scent and texture but I’m always looking for more moisture for my super dry skin!

    • Isabella Muse

I don’t like Confidence in a Jar at all and wouldn’t compare it to this formula. This is way more hydrating in comparison in my opinion 🙂

  • Lisa

Am I crazy? I got this as a travel size sample in one of my sub boxes, used it to the end and though it was just kinda underwelming. I have very oily skin that none the less needs a bit of moisture on my cheeks and around my mouth. It didn’t do a whole lot, It absorbed in fast and left my skin soft, for a while, and that was about it. I keep hearing everyone going crazy about it and just don’t really get it.
Enlighten me, Oh Skin Gods and tell me why I’m crazy and why I need this!

    • Isabella Muse

mmmmm I wanna say maybe because you are oily you didn’t experience the joys. I’m super dry and this is like an ice cold glass of water for my skin 😀

  • ChynnaBlue

I bought the regular size jar of this after reading your review and I’m here to say thank you! I was oily for most of my life and have only gotten dry skin in the last few years. I’ve found your recommendations to be really helpful as I’ve learned to deal with my new skin. Winters have been hard because it gets even worse and I’m just at a loss because nothing seems to work. This stuff works! Yesterday I used my normal moisturizer (which does work well for me 10 months out of the year here in central Texas) and it just did not cut it, even with oil over the top. Today I used the Belif Moisturizing Bomb and I can really feel the difference. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. I have definitely benefited and appreciate what you’ve taken the time to pass along.

    • Isabella Muse

YAYYYYYYYYYY! I love getting comments like this! I’m so so glad it worked for you 🙂 thank YOU for trusting me with your skin 😉
