About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I am going to wait for ULTA to have another 20% off coupon. I don’t pay retail for palettes anymore. I also want to see if it follows in the steps of Subculture and Prism, getting deeply discounted just weeks after release!

I think the Wet n Wild palette “Nude Awakening” has very similar colors to the ABH Soft Glam, so I went out and bought that for $5.00. I’m good.

I think it’s very pretty, but with the repeat shades I can’t justify buying it at full price since I already own ModRen. Maybe if it’s on sale **plus** another 20% off coupon. Plus you know several companies are going to come out with $10-$15 total dupes. Actually the whole Subculture debacle has soured me on ABH.

Me, too. But I have to admit I continue to be drawn in by the subculture color scheme, and now find it diff not to order it, despite knowing I don’t have the skill level or patience needed. Soured on this one, when I saw the dupes on a Temptalia. Used to keep a stash dupe list of all new palettes, but I tire easily! This year has been easy to write off product. Think the goal of non-rouge, non-platinum is attainable, though s/c can easily take the place of color cosmetics….

I think it’s very pretty, and tempting, but I have several of the shades in other palettes. I decided not to haul it.
