Benefit Gold Rush Blush Brings Warm, Golden Nectar to Our Cheeks

Much to my excitement Benefit Gold Rush Blush launched today! This is Benefit’s latest addition to their popular Box o’ Powder Collection and it’s a warm, golden nectar according to the brand.

I fell in LOVE with the yummy apricot candy-hue of GALIfornia and I actually had hopes of using Gold Rush on top of it. I hate to say it but I think this might work best as a highlighter and not an actual blush. The description is slightly contrasting in the fact that it says it is a rich, golden shade yet it goes on to read that it is a universally-flattering shade of peach. I can totally do peach but if it is gold that would likely mean it’ll work best as a highlighter for me not as a blush. It does have an overspray which Benefit acknowledges in their detail. That’s a first because oversprays are like a dirty little secret. No one really wants to admit they are there or acknowledge that they disappear after a single swipe. It’s refreshing that Benefit actually says hey, listen, there’s an overspray here and it does disappear!

Someways they recommend using it is by applying it over Hoola to get a beach-y glow. I personally plan on applying it over peachy blushes if it doesn’t work on its own.

It does have a citrus, vanilla, and sandalwood scent but I typically find the fragrances on Benefit powders disappears fairly quickly.

Do you think you’ll be picking it up?

Benefit Gold Rush Blush is available today at Sephora.com and at ulta.com.

If it was more of a blush I absolutely would have. But if it’s more of a highlighter I will pass. Hoping it works on its own for you and looking forward to seeing a review!

I have to see how it works out for me! I suspect it might be more of a highlighter but I hope I am wrong ;-D

If you are super fair, it’s a blush. Anything deeper, it’s just a highlight/blush topper tbh

I have been using it for such a long time.
Honestly, at first I wasn’t too happy, but I grew to love it and now it is my must-use product.

I’m a little late to this post…but I CAN’T WAIT for this one to hit Ulta!!! I already have Galifornia, Dandelion, Coralista, Sugarbomb, and Rockateur (and those are just Benefit-I may have a slight blush hoarding problem) and this one looks right up my alley! Also I love the different scents they all have. Can’t wait to see your review.

Upcoming shortly 🙂 Glad to see you so excited! I’m quite excited to try it!

It’s an absolute highlighter. I’m about a MAC NC 20 and it barely shows up on me. And it smells like straight up baby powder and it lingers far longer than any Benefit blush I’ve tried. Not bad but js
