Dior Addict Lacquer Plump A New Plumping Lip Ink

Dior Addict Lacquer Plump arrives close on the heels of Dior Rouge Dior Liquid Lip Stain from Fall 2017 with a formula that not only acts as a lip tint but also a plumping lacquer. How is this achieved? No idea. Through the magic of Dior?!

This is a liquid lipstick that has a hybrid formula that provides a long-wearing tint which apparently will last up to eight hours. It also has a plumping effect and an oil-in-water emulsion texture that increases moisture in your lips up to 78%. Not to mention it contains everyone’s best love ingredient, hyaluronic acid!

“It’s a fascinating formula innovation. We succeeded in pushing the different effects of color and shine to the extreme with a soothing skincare formula and an extra-fluid texture you’ll forget you’re wearing at all.” says Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.

So, shine, long-wear, moisture, in a lip stain formula? Yes, sounds interesting! What’s even more interesting is these are available in both a high shine and glitter finish. Hmmmm!

They are available in 18 shades and one that caught my eye was 456 Dior Pretty which is a rosewood shade. I do so love a good dusky nude pink lip!

Dior Addict Lacquer Plump are available now at sephora.com.

Sounds divine! Let’s hope the plumping is from the hyaluronic acid and not some gross, tingling ingredient that makes your lips hurt!

It’s not really a liquid lipstick, it’s a lacquer which is a high pigment gloss. I own the Sweet-D one and it’s successful in depositing a tint as well as leaving a wet shine but it is definitely not a liquid lipstick. Great gloss though, really comfortable and it feels like I am wearing a balm.

You’ll love it – but be wary when reapplying as it can get sticky with the more coats used. Also, the color darkens after applied so whatever color it applies as will darken – the Sweet-D one goes on almost a baby/white pink and darkens to a hot pink. I can confirm it doesn’t burn and it is meant to be a longer-term plumper like their lip maximizer, it has the numb/cooling sensation as the lip maximizer!
This formula reminds me of a Smashbox lip lacquer from way back when, maybe 4 years ago Can’t remember what it’s called for the life of me, I still have it but stopped wearing it because the pink would get really intensely hot pink and it would stain super badly. This formula is much nicer.
