One of the most beautiful woman on TV aka Kerry Washington is teaming up with Neutrogena for Spring 2018 to bring us something essential that needs to be added to our Neutrogena Makeup Routine.

Quick note, I don’t technically have a Neutrogena Makeup Routine in place nor a Neutrogena Skincare one if that’s where this is going. But do you think they’ll let me try out whatever they are cooking up anyway!? I sure hope so. Because if nothing at all I’m always curious about new beauty.

Just an hour ago Kerry posted on her Instagram account, “I’ve partnered with @Neutrogena creating something “ESSENTIAL” for you to add to your #NeutrogenaMakeup routine. 😍 Mark your calendars and follow #NeutrogenaxKerry for the latest updates. My new collection is available April 8 exclusively at @UltaBeauty! #UltaBeauty #ProudCreativeConsultant”

People don’t realize that Kerry’s actually been with Neutrogena nearly four years now which is quite a while to remain the face of a brand or as they call it a Creative Consultant. So, the fact they are finally collaborating with her on creating something together is very interesting and exciting news that seems overdue.

Looks like with most exclusives Ulta is getting early first dibs. Note that she says “my new collection” which makes me wonder if it is a color cosmetic collection. Perhaps it might be a collection featuring shades flattering for woman of color? I’m sort of leaning towards saying they are getting us all worked up for no reason and it turns into a skincare launch.

We shall see.

What do you think the Neutrogena x Kerry Collection will include?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Well, they do already have a new micellar water so I don’t think it is that. I’m hoping they do something in color!

KW is so damned gorgeous! The crossover between Scandal and HTGAw/M really showcased the problem that WOC have with m/u. Kerry looked positively sallow, when she was onscreen with Viola. Still a knockout, but far warmer/more yellow toned than in your mind’s eye. Viola looked so much darker and cooler. What a stunning (probably hard to match) skin tone. But they are Hollywood, with access to everything. Not like most of the women and gents who have been underserved forever. Kerry and Viola have about as much in common for foundation as either one of them has with Phyrra/Courtney. Anybody who doesn’t get why this is a movement should watch those two together.

I feel SO sad I never watched How to Get Away with Murder. I so wanted to start watching it but I just didn’t have the time! GRRR! But I do some love me some Scandal ;-D Now you’ve made me want to binge How To Get away with murder 😀

my sis was obsessed with it and kept goading me to watch it! I really need to binge it!

Why does KW never show her teeth when she smiles? And why do they always lighten her skin in advertising? All neutrogena products give me hives so I’ll not be buying but I really detest how advertising plays psychological warfare in this country!

i think it’s palettes (eye and cheek) and it’s going to be called “Essential” – i’ve seen sneak peaks of her with swatches and some preview images of the palettes. i may be jumping the gun, but seems like kind of a yawn?
