L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Chocolate Shades That Are Chocolate Scented

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Les Chocolat Liquid Lipstick arrives just in time for Easter. Because really, Easter is about two things for me. Willy Wonka and chocolate. No, seriously though, Easter always reminds me of watching Willy Wonka as a kid. Not the Johnny Depp version, the Gene Wilder Pure Imagination version. It also reminds me of getting Cadbury Mini Easter Eggs in my basket. You know, the hard shell ones? Those are probably one of the only Cadbury products I actually like in the US because everything else is utterly horrible. Oh off topic English Chocolate but have you guys tried the Kinder Joy Eggs here in the US? They are awful. Ugh.

But this isn’t about chocolate you can eat, it’s about chocolate scented and flavored L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Les Chocolat Lipstick which are also available in yummy chocolate shades. Which I probably can’t pull off but I sure as hell will have fun trying!

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Les Chocolat Lipstick arrives in six shades for Spring 2017 each of which have a matte finish and a yummy chocolate scent (and likely flavor too!).

Shades:

  • Candy Man
  • Sweet Tooth
  • Dose of Cocoa
  • Bittersweet 70% Yum
  • Box O’ Chocolate

Tarte tried to make grungy browns come back with the launch of the Tartetist Naughty Nudes Creamy Matte Lip Paint Collection but it looks like the shades L’Oreal is launching in the Les Chocolat Collection appear much more easier to wear.

I’m hoping I’ll find at least one flattering nude and brown in this collection. Plus if I’m honest the novelty of scented chocolate lipstick is appealing.

    Sigh… Why MATTE?? Why couldn’t they be glosses? I hate matte lips, esp. on me. These could have been so pretty as glosses… WAH!!!

    Oh, Gene Wilder’s version is the ONLY one. Johnny Depp’s was just awful. Pure Imagination is a great song, as was the sappy but cute Candy Man. 🙂

    These lippies look nice.

    Yea, the Kinder Joy eggs were not very good but then again I had never tried the other (non-US) version. Cadbury doesn’t taste as good now as it did when I was a kid. I think it has something to do with Hershey’s buying them or something like that. I do love those mini eggs, though.

      Kinder Joy Eggs are absolutely awful! I’m not sure who makes them in the US or if they are importing them here but something is terribly off with them! yuck! Cadbury in general tastes bad in the US to me. Nestle produces it here so you aren’t actually get a real Cadbury experience from the UK, it’s a US version of it and using the name sadly. If you have an Irish deli, bakery, or butcher in your neighborhood go there around the Holidays or even not and see if they have a box of Roses or even single cadbury chocolate bars and see the difference ;-D

    I actually really enjoy the original version of this line of lipsticks, it lasts for hours on me even through eating, and if it goes on sticky I can quickly correct that with a little lip balm. I can’t wait until these turn up at my local drugstore or Ulta (or maybe online at Ulta during the sale, that would be nice!). There are three, maybe four of these that I want to pick up, I like this formula that much.

    Forget the shape, or melt it yourself. Trader Joe’s big Belgian bar. I made the xmas one last ~6-8 weeks, by dint of anti-gluttony. Big, good, and accessible are the qualifiers in the chocolate game. The Cadburys that freak me out are the ones that look like real hb eggs inside. Uh, no. Let no chocolate below mid range (Hershey, Mars, etc) pass your lips, and reach for a higher goal than that. My fave from childhood was the sugar shell, minimally hard frosted egg with the diorama of English style rabbits inside. Don’t think it was made to be eaten, never did.

    Oh I wish these weren’t matte. I have never been able to pull it off, but the shades are gorgeous!!! what fun…a chocolate smell!? p.s. Muse, I actually found the Kinder eggs delightful, tasted like nutella. They’ve been hard to find here in AR. Love you Muse!!

      I like Kinder Eggs, a lot, too much haha it’s just the ones found here in the US that aren’t that good! The chocolate seems stale and old 🙁

    Muse, thanks for this post I actually saw these 2 weeks ago at Target but ignored them because they were on an end cap where they keep the clearance baskets. The display wasn’t full which further made me think it was some clearance stuff. I will check them out and see what’s available and let you know.

    I agree these would be wonderful as glosses. So over matte lippies. Plus, I can’t be the only one who had a crush on willy wonka, right? I loved gene wilder in young Frankenstein. My first movie star crush.

    They smell amazing!!! At target, in an end cap but not even close to clearance. Was all new Loreal releases. I got the lightest one and like but def drying.
