Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist Weak but Still One of My Favorites
I did a rather large Sephora order online during the Spring Sale but I also headed in-store and ended up walking out with a backup of my beloved Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist in the larger 8.1 oz bottle. I have the 3.04 oz bottle and I’ve run through it dozens of times already since it is so small and so weak I literally hose myself down with it.
This is actually the first time I’m buying the larger bottle and didn’t even realize it was available. It’s expensive as sin at $32 but with the 15% Off I felt a little nicer about indulging.
If I’m honest, I’d indulge again even without a sale because I just love this scent.
Please, if you’re listening Sol De Janeiro, make us a perfume that’s strong smelling!? We’d love that so much. This is delicious! It’s warm, nutty, tropical, and smells like a hot beach in the Summer. It’s pretty much the scent of tanning lotion but on a much more luxurious higher-end scale.
Apparently the notes are pistachio and salted caramel. I’d have to agree there’s a certain nuttiness here that does indeed smell like pistachio. I’m not sure about the caramel aspect. My nose doesn’t quite pick up on it. I just smell tanning oil, warmth, and a good day at the beach. It’s an exotic scent that’s just divine.
Sadly, at this price you’d think it would have a longer wear but sadly it is rather weak.
That’s why we need a perfume. Please. Now? If not can you slash off a little on this price? $32 is steep for a weak formula! How about $20?
None the less, I’ll still buy this and hose myself down with it so people do ask me on occasion, “What is that you’re wearing?!”
