Stila Coral Crush Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Stila Coral Crush Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is new, permanent shade that’s been launched in the popular Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Collection for Spring 2018.
I paid $5.95 to have this shipped to me because it’s exclusive to Stila’s website at the moment and I love this formula so much I wasn’t trying to play a waiting game for it to hit Sephora or Ulta. Not to mention they had me at with that name, Coral Crush! Plus they promised me a gold peach and I was like, “Oh hell yes! Sign me up!”
Stila Coral Crush Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is described as a sheer golden peach with green and pink sparkle. Personally, I thought it looked like a coppery rose shade with specks of silver sparkle. It’s very vibrant and lovely in the barrel but sadly, it was actually a good deal sheerer on my eyes and looked pink. I just recently reviewed the shade Enchantress so if you’re looking for something pink I’d avoid Coral Crush and go with Enchantress as that’s the superior pink in my opinion. And if you’re looking for something peach, well, this isn’t it.
Oh well!
The hunt continues for the perfect peach shade of Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow.
None the less the formula is still quite good if not the best shade I’ve tried in this range. Typically Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow builds very well and has a nice tint of color. I had a little bit of patchiness with Coral Crush which I believe is visible in my look below. I find the formula very easy to work with and most shades apply flawless but I’ve run into shades that tend to apply sheerer and this is one. I think the good thing about Coral Crush is might you be able to apply this all over your lid and use a powder shade in the outer v to sort of amp up the look because the shade doesn’t have pop on its own which is unusual but happens from time to time with this formula.
I admit I was disappointed. I really wanted this to be some sort of golden peachy pink a la NARS Orgasm. I felt the same about the shade Wanderlust which was also disappointing.
None the less, this still remains one of my very favorite sparkle eyeshadows on the market at the moment and if Stila keeps introducing new shades, I’ll keep buying them. I didn’t get into a detailed review here as I’ve sort of regurgitated my thoughts on the formula in many, many posts prior to this but in case you missed them you can see this post for more details on the formula, wear, etc….
