Almay Cosmic Collection for Spring/Summer 2018

Another galactic makeup is heading our way for Spring/Summer 2018! The Almay Cosmic Collection gave us a sneaky peek of things to come when they launched their new Make Them Jelly Hi-Lite several weeks ago. Since that time they have added have now launched an entire collection of galaxy-themed makeup that might excite you.

The collection is quite similiar in to the LOreal Infallible Galaxy Lumiere Collection that launched a few months ago and follows the iridescent pastel festival makeup theme everyone seems excited about. I’m a little more reserved about iridescent pastels myself. They aren’t quite my thing and I sort of feel silly in them. None the less, it’s still a very fun release for Almay.

Almay Make Them Jelly Hi-Lite launched a few months ago in two shades with a unique jelly texture that provided a glitter iridescent on your face or body!

Possibly one of the more interesting launches from this collection would be the Almay Holographic Shadow Squad Eyeshadow. These are five new shades that are available in the Shadow Squad Eyeshadow formula which launched a few months ago. These are colors we DO NOT commonly see from Almay who tends to play it safe. Bright iridescent peach, lavender, and pink are just a few of the fun shades available in these quads.

Almay Goddess Gloss joins to cosmic theme with several prismatic shades that can worn alone or layered with your favorite lipsticks to create a high shine finish and a duochrome effect. I couldn’t help but think, “Wow these would make great eyeshadows!”

The Almay Cosmic Collection is available now at ulta.com and on sale at 30% off!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I picked up one of the Almay glosses recently and it is really nice, non-sticky or gritty. I’m not usually a fan of Almay but the glosses and the quads are piquing my interest.

Looks pretty. Eyeshadow that isn’t in its separate pans kind of makes me a little tweaky. Like what happens when you start to pain them? Then do you rub your brush in the cracks for some sort of mixed color? LOL

I rarely find a must have for drug store make up but I really want that peach eye quad. I will grab a lip gloss too. Off to the store I go….

I wanted so badly to like the shadows by Almay–I got a couple when they were on sale for about $3 a few months ago. There is no difference between the finishes of the 4 shades in each palette, and there was no pigmentation. The old formulation of their eye color shadows was awesome; they seem to have lost that recently!
