L’Oreal Summer 2018 Brings Paradise Fruit Scented Makeup Your Way
L’Oreal Summer 2018 arrives today with the launch of the new Colour Riche Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette and Paradise Enchanted Fruit-Scented Blush that launched at Amazon recently. I got mine recently after pre-booking them at Amazon and although I haven’t used them my first impression seeing them was quite good. The eyeshadows look soft and creamy and the blushes are quite pretty as well! Both are supposed to be scented but I haven’t cracked them open yet to take a sniff but I’ll let you know more soon.
Along with these two items L’Oreal has let loose a few other items today including a new Voluminous Lash Paradise Liquid Eyeliner in black and a rose gold shade which had me thinking perhaps it’ll be cheaper than that Smashbox + Vlada Petal Metal Liquid Eyeliner in Rose Gold that I picked up a few weeks ago. L’Oreal is obviously interested in cashing on on the success of Lash Paradise Mascara as along with the eyeliner there’s now a new Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer too! Not everyone loved Lash Paradise Mascara but I enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to picking up these two new items.

L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Multi-Use Concealer ($12.99) arrives in 14 shades and has a little puff application much likes the ones we’ve seen on Erborian Touch Pen Complexion Sculptor and Concealer and Burberry Cashmere Concealer. Interestingly enough they actually promote this as an under eye concealer which works for me as that’s exactly where I use concealer. It has medium coverage and contains glycerin and haloxyl. Haloxyl is made up of glycerin and water primarily and is used to treat hyper pigmentation or occasionally it is used in eye creams to correct dark circles. I’m a little skeptical about it actually diminishing dark circles but if it conceals them well that works for me.
Another item that arrived at Ulta today are the Infallible Pro Matte Liquid Lipstick Les Chocolat ($9.99) which aren’t a new release by any means but are finally coming to mass market! For a spell they were available only at Target and Walmart which proves my theory about “drugstore exclusives”. Drugstore makeup has become increasingly difficult to find and certain stores get dibs on certain products which drives me up a wall. None the less it is nice to see these finally going more mainstream. These are matte in finish and available in several chocolate nude shades and best part? They are chocolate flavored and scented!
If blush sticks are your thing the new L’Oreal Infallible Longwear Blush Shaping Stick ($12.99) much capture your eye. This one is available in merely two shades but apparently the formula is a workhorse as they say it’ll provide up to 24 hours of lasting color. Can’t say cream blush anything lasts that long on me but I’m willing to give it a go! Along with the blush stick they of course, had to introduce a highlighter one too! Infallible Longwear Highlighter Shaping Stick ($12.99) also apparently lasts for 24 hours and is available in two shades to give skin a radiant finish in an easy cream stick formula.
