Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Dates, News, and More

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Can you believe that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 is already being advertised on Nordstrom.com? Seriously! They already have official dates! The sale starts July 20th through August 5th and allows Nordstrom Card Members access to the latest and greatest Fall 2018 launches in makeup, skincare, fragrance, accessories, clothes, and more.

Don’t worry everyone can shop the sale but card members do get early access to shop and early info on the releases. I don’t have a ton of details yet but you know I’ll be updating this post as soon as I do.

Never shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale before? Don’t worry! I got your back. I’ll be sure to let you know what will be on offered and what the best picks are from the sale when official information becomes available.

Those who never shopped the sale before are always slightly confused why there is no discount. Technically it isn’t a sale in the traditional sense of the word. There are no percentage discounts but they do have many exclusive product launches, gift sets, and collections such as ones from major brands like MAC.

I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on offer this year! Hopefully some new and exciting fragrances will be offer to try out. Are you hoping for anything special? The past few years the sale sort of disappointed me so this year I’m hoping they do some unique gift sets!

Are you looking to seeing what’s on offer at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018?

Stay tuned for more details!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. To me the sale has gone downhill in recent years. Nothing really unique in terms of beauty and the clothing/shoe/handbag offerings are just meh. I think I hit the last straw 2-3 years ago when I was shopping in-store. They have the merchandise behind a black curtain for the preview sale (it’s ridiculous) and the sales staff are all over you like a rash. Worse than a rash, actually. They don’t let you look at ANYTHING before pouncing and I just can’t shop like that. I went to the MAC counter to look at their offerings and one of the salespeople practically blocked me from the display with her body asking if I needed help. I said “can I look first?” and she got annoyed. I think that did it for me. This was at Roosevelt Field on LI BTW. That said, I’ll check out the offerings this year and if anything interests me I’ll just order online. I can’t be bothered with that store during the sale if that’s how they treat customers.

ITA! I think it hasn’t been good in at least 7 to 8 years. When I started blogging the sale was in a good place with some great offerings. I remember the Smashbox Burlesque Traincase they did. It was exclusive and had a great highlighter/blush in it. It’s a shame they don’t have more exclusives like this. Even the MAC exclusive collection isn’t that great anymore. It used to be massive now they do kits/sets which are a nice value but sort of boring. Oh my store doesn’t have any black curtain!? But the sales staff is the worst. Even sales staff I know and work with many times that know I am going to spend money are very pushy and aggressive. It makes me hate going into the store. I don’t blame you. Honestly, behavior like this is why I shop online not to mention the incompetent people that work in stores and absolutely have no clue. I went to Home Depot the other day and asked several people a question about sliding doors and not one of them could offer help. I also had to go back three separate times because I was purchasing rug for my foyer and they person that cuts the rug wasn’t available so they couldn’t sell it to me. After the third visit I headed online, had it cut to size, and shipped within two days free. This is just one of numerous issues with stores in New York. Nordstrom, Lush, Sephora, Bath and Body Works you can’t go into any of them without being harassed to death OR you get people that don’t even know what is going on. Ask them about a certain makeup release or product and they stand around dumbfounded. It just boggles my mind. But here’s to hoping Nordie’s sale is good this year!

Oh yes, the incompetence is rampant. Once at Nordstrom I bought some Estée Lauder stuff and they ran out of the GWP and promised to ship it to me. I received NOTHING, it was ridiculous. I’ve asked about releases in the MAC store and they look at me bug-eyed. In Ulta they pretend to know nothing about sales, promotions, or point offers. YOU WORK IN THE STORE AND EMAILS GO OUT EVERY DAY HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW OMG!!! Half the time I think they are playing dumb. That’s why I do most of my business with Ulta online. I wish I could get my brows done online too! HAHA

    • Isabella Muse

girl, they aren’t playing dumb they ARE dumb! It’s sad! really sad! I’m always shocked and amazed when I someone knows what they are doing! Retail is in a sad state!

    • Isabella

yes it’s sad when the customer is more up to date than the sales people

we read blogs like this 🙂

Agree with the comments. Big S (in this case literally the bigger store) is the worst offender. Rude, aggressive, and illy informed. In what universe is a nearly 70 yo person who reads only 2 blogs and lets those blogs guide to any other relevant SM site better informed than the sales persons? My universe. They ought to be embarrassed, but they ARGUE with you instead. Argue. Good form! Nothing pisses me off more than self-important IGNORANT people. It’s bad that none of the SAs have a clue about the emails or online only offerings. Ultimately, that has the effect of more and more of us using online by preference, which leads to a greater # of returns, as the online description and photos are often inaccurate. Never saw a curtain, thank god, but I way hate the plaza that has Nordie’s. So, online for me, if at all. I was disappointed in 50% of the Nars LE-ish pencils last year, but did not return. It started with no malls between Halloween and Valentine’s, and has progressed to no indoor malls unless returns required. Maybe we should be glad these sales associates aren’t our bank tellers or public school teachers!

Funny you say that about Nordstrom andMAC I was in Garden State Plaza, and asked about the Padma stuff, the sales girl had not a clue about it. and it was released.

as for the Anniversary Sale, nothing there for me, I look might buy a pair of shoes but it gets worse every year.
and the prebuying for a week before the sale begins!!!

Amazing. Truly amazing. How do these people work in makeup but haven’t a clue about releases!? Hopefully this year they surprise us!
