I’m back…with more B Never. Today I thought I’d spotlight some of the long gone B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Bashful Blushers I still have.
Unlike the eyeshadow palette I recently featured from B Never the Bashful Blushers have not really held up well.
Let’s take a look!
Since I’ve been reviewing some of Lush’s new launched Emotional Brilliance Collection you probably hear me throw around B Never Too Busy to be Beautiful references here and there.
You’ll understand why I miss Lush’s old makeup brand so much after this post.
Take a look!
I’m terribly sorry…what started out as a single post ended up becoming two posts and now three….
But here’s some more of the B Never Holiday Catalog that I’ve been posting photos of. I hope you’re enjoying this series. It’s a nice way to reminiscence about the brand if you were a fan or if you never tried B Never it’s kinda nice seeing what it was all about.
B Never is a company Lush Cosmetics built up that carried a array of not only posh Bath and Body product but also makeup as well.
If you missed any part of this series please click here and here for my two prior posts and jump ahead for a look at some more of B Never’s offerings including their makeup collection which I think you’ll love as much as I did.
When I started my little project to photograph the entire B Never Holiday Catalog I thought it would be done in two posts…but turns out the catalog is huge so this is post number 2 and they’ll be another post shortly.
If you missed post 1 please click here.
I started this project because I was feeling nostalgic about Lush’s sister brand, B Never Too Busy to Be Beautiful when I came across a Holiday Catalog from several years ago in my closet. I quickly wanted to share some of what B was since I know many of you are Lush fans but not everyone remembers B Never.
Do jump ahead to experience some more of B Never’s offerings.
B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful was the glamorous side of Lush Cosmetics. Old school Lush fans will take note that items from B Never’s catalog have popped up from time to time at Lush and most recently in the Gorilla Fragrance Collection.
I’ve loved B with all my heart and was really crushed when they closed shop.
I was cleaning out my makeup closet recently for Fall and I came across one of B Never’s old Holiday Catalogs and I really wanted to share it with you so I took a ton of pictures but damn I need to do this one in two parts.
So do jump ahead to enjoy some of what B Never offered us!
Once upon a time B Never Too Busy Too Be Beautiful was Lush Cosmetic’s younger sister. She gifted Lush fans with an array of beautiful fragrances and makeup.
Sadly, she isn’t around anymore….!
The good news is she makes a guest starring appearance from time to time in Lush shops and online. I’m actually still waiting for one of my beloved fragrances from B, Keep it Fluffy, to return one day….! Please? Please! Please!?
Fans of the brand will be ever so delighted at the return of a shower gel from B Never.
You MAY be missing B Never, I know I am, but Lush is making me feel every so comfortable about the demise of B with cosmetic releases that are the same or similar to many of B Never’s old collection.
Now….have you heard the word on Gorilla Perfume?
Many of you enjoyed my brief foray into B Never Cosmetics during my lash stash spotlight so today I thought I’d just do a few pictures of the fantastic B Never Shadow Palettes they used to carry.
I haven’t been to a B store in two years but as far as I know these are no longer available which is a shame.
Click ahead for the deets and pictures!
The palette is a gorgeous, heavy jewel encrusted affair and houses five shades of B Never Eye Shadow inside. It has a bit of a Indian theme to it somewhat as the little jewels and bling look like tiny bindis. It’s quite a nice piece of cosmetic and obviously very vanity worthy. I plopped one of the regular smaller B Never single shadows next to the larger palette so you can see the size difference.
You can find B by visiting www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.co.uk
They do ship to the US!
Hope you enjoyed this adventure into B Never. More to come soon!
I’d like to think I paved the way for many a Lush lover. I get so many e-mails a day since starting my blog about how people are rejoicing since discovering Lush on my blog. It warms my Grinch heart that people are busy discovering Lush. I’ve been a Lush lover for many a fine year and simply think it’s an outstanding brand.
I thought I’d take a moment out to point you in the direction of Lush’s sister brand B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful. I introduced you to B a year or so ago with a few posts here and there and even one about my collection of B perfumes. Up until now I can’t believe I’ve never once posted my stash of B cosmetics.
Yes, you read that right, cosmetics. Lush is indeed responsible for creating it’s own line of makeup under the B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful brand name. Think of B as Lush’s hipster sister. Created with a no animal testing policy and with plenty of “fresh” ingredients this makeup is all Lush!
Click it for a peep at my stash of B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Eye Shadows.
Some folk love ‘em, some hate ‘em. Count me as a lover of B makeup. Although it expires fairly quickly (a year, sometimes two, three if you’re lucky) it’s one of the most unique brands I’ve had the pleasure of owning. Housed in bejeweled little pots much of the line brings quality and a bit of posh to the table. Most of my B was collected on various trips to London but you can order B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful product from it’s website which ships internationally.
The shadows are particularly wonderful little critters as they are pigmented as a MAC shadow and quite cute to boot (about the size of a US quarter). The line should appeal to Lush lovers as it’s a whimsical collection of interesting hippie makeup bits and bobs or if you’re just a fan of interesting little out of the way make up items the line will capture your fancy.
Below are some shots of my stash of B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful eye shadows, check ‘em!
Some makeup I just treasure and all my B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful makeup happens to fall right in with that. Gorgeous, stunning little things aren’t they?
Hope you enjoyed a view of B’s shadows and I’ll bring you more spotlights of B collection in future posts.
Ahhh eye shadow. Bless be the woman who created eye shadow! The Muse has plenty of shades she loves.
Find out 10 she possibly couldn’t live without by clicking below!
Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Maui Wowie and Midnight Cowboy, these are golden, they shimmer, they contain heaps and heaps of sparkle, and I love ‘em. Can’t do without, no way, no how.
long since gone but big enough to last me into my next life! Swirling shades of beautiful maroon, red, hints of shimmering orange and gold…you get the point? Love!
I’ve done an ode to MAC FireSpot
prior to this but it’s worth speaking of my great love again. Bright pigmented fiery orange, indeed it’s love!
Milani Runway Eyes
in Beach Sand is full of shimmery gold, I see a trend developing. Best shadow that Milani carries, hands down. It’s Summer right? So sportin’ this all through those long, hot days!
ALL of the Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadows
are to die for but the soft pink allure and shimmer of Ballet holds the Muse’s heart.
I remember my rave about Napoleon Eye Patrol in Private Angel
when my blog was still new, not alot has changed in regards to my feelings for this shadow. Again, another shimmering shade of gold and oh so pretty!
I’ve been known to get excited about Vincent Longo Wet Diamond Eye Shadow. Verite is my fav shade from the collection, believe me I have ‘em all! Deepest army green around with plenty of sparkle.
B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful in Burke is always my fav eye shadow wash. Shimmering white makes the perfect prep for my bolder shadow shades!
Mattese N.Y.C. Shadow Dust in Queen is not only cheap as day old chips but gorgeous. The deepest shade of turquoise this Muse has ever had the pleasure of owning!
Those are my 10 Eye Shadows I can’t leave without! What are some of yours?
You may remember my previous post about B perfumes if not you can click here and have a look and a read!
I just noticed (I must be out of the loop) that B’s site has been updated with their latest scents Inhale and Exhale.
B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Inhale Body Spray
Exhale is the men’s version of the scent while Inhale is the women’s version. I’m hearing rave reviews about Inhale so I’ve ordered the Body Spray for myself to try it out (I never met a B scent that I didn’t love…well..maybe one or two…).
I’m pretty excited about this scent as I’ve heard it carries a nice underlay of fresh melon and I adore fruity scents so I’m curious what sort of blend this is!
Inhale is only available in Body Spray at the moment but I’m sure it’ll extend to Eau de Parfum at a later date but I can assure you, if you’re interested in this, that B’s Body Spray’s are very potent, have excellent throw, and linger a very long time with a spray or two and the best part is the bottles are quite large for the price!
Inhale is available for £18.00 from B’s website now (They ship worldwide).
I’ve been wanting to do a post about B for a very long time but I just never had the time to take the photos of my rather large stash of B! I’ve decided that it’s long overdo and I’m bringing you a tale of B today!
I’ll be doing the post in two separate parts. Part 1 will consist of B’s perfume line and Part 2 will consist of B’s cosmetic line! I was going to do a Part 3 discussing B’s Bath and Body lineup but I think it might be overkill so I’ll only cover that briefly (plus if I had to haul out my entire collection of B Bath and Body goodies I’d be here for the next year of my life).
If you’ve no idea what I am talking about allow me to explain a little.
B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful is Lush Cosmetic’s younger, groovier little sister (it’s also alot more expensive and posh than Lush is). B is not available in the US or any other country other then jolly old England so sadly it’s either order online and have it airmailed to you or hop the nearest plane to London to grab yourself some!
I’ve been collecting B products for about 4 years or so now. I visited B for the first time about 3-4 years old in London with one of my best mates and from that day on I was forever a fan and lover!
The store is something to behold and if you happen to live in London or are visiting do drop by 39 Carnaby Street for the full effect! It’s gorgeous and you’ll leave the store about $1000 dollars poorer while wiping the drool off your mouth and trying to snap yourself back into reality. I wish I had photos of my visit but sadly I do not! I’ve googled and you can locate images for yourself by clicking here.
If you’re expecting something similar to Lush you’ll be shocked to learn this is NOTHING like Lush. It’s completely different.
B consists of vegan friendly cosmetics, perfume, bath and body items. It’s mostly popular for it’s bejeweled cosmetics but it also has quite a cult following when it comes to it’s very different perfume line!
Scents have come and gone in the B line and at the moment there are eight scents as the main line up (seven of which I have tried and six of each I own!). Nine if you consider the Body Spray, Dirty, part of the line up!
Perfumes you’ll find at B are a unique, expensive experience that are well worth the price of omission in my personal opinion. If you have a taste for the posh and gorgeous these will appeal to you. Be warned they take some getting used. First sniff will almost always have you pulling back in dismay but slowly B perfumes grow on you and you become deeper and deeper in lust and love with them as time passes!
The thing I adore about B perfume is how exotic and unique they are. It’s something you can wear and not worry about smelling like the rest of the population which means you’ll truly have your very own personal scent as B is not exactly easy to get around these parts!
Prices on B perfume range from $90 and upwards (cheaper for smaller bottles or sprays!). These are not cheap in anyway, shape or form but they are well worth the disgusting price tag in my humble opinion!
Sadly, the Muse is unable to explain the perfumes because they are such a unusual blend of notes but I’ll do the best I can!
One of my favorite perfumes from B is entitled Love. The main notes in the blend are jasmine, rose, and ylang ylang. These combine to create a strangely citrus floral blend on me.
The only true way to describe the scent of Love and other B perfume is to sum it up as Old Hollywood. B perfumes remind me of vintage, retro, black and white Hollywood. Fay Wray, Joan Crawford, Vivian Leigh, Etc…
B perfumes all come in vintage victorian style bottles with a tasseled pump so it brings you way back into a gorgeous, glamorous era!
My second favorite scent would be Keep It Fluffy which is slightly on the sweet side but it too falls into the floral combination of rose, ylang ylang, and vanilla! It’s a very deep blend so don’t expect something light (don’t expect light from any B perfume).
Keep It Fluffy
My third favorite is Cocktail which is indeed a cocktail of different notes including cassia, sandalwood, jasmine, ylang ylang and other interesting bits!
My fourth favorite would be Two Hearts Beating As One which is a blend of jasmine, rose, and musk. It’s a very sophisticated floral combination that’s positively gorgeous!
My fifth favorite would be A Thousand Kisses Deep which is a blend of vanilla, asian spices, and musk (and a few other things). It’s quite an interesting blend and like all B perfumes glamorous and gorgeous!
A Thousand Kisses Deep
My sixth and least favorite perfume is B Scent which contains notes of sandalwood and jasmine over a base I can’t quite pinpoint. It’s difficult to describe B Scent but it’s not really a favorite of mine! Although, I like it well enough it’s not the first bottle I reach for!
Ladyboy and Breath of God are two other scents offered by B. I haven’t yet tried Breath of God and I can tell already I’ll hate it as it contains patchouli. Breath of God is pretty new and takes the place of another fragrance that used to be offered called Om which strangely enough contains a majority of the same notes as this new scent thus it’s just a rename I guess! Ladyboy is a scent I had purchased a while ago and absolutely hated. It was actually something I thought I’d love due to it’s notes but it’s terrible. It’s a violet banana blend that just doesn’t work at all and makes me gag and cringe (sorry B)!
B perfumes are sophisticated blends that are very “evening” wearable. They aren’t something you can spritz on for a light splash of scent. They are more of a “out on the town” scent that are very strong and lingering.
They take some getting used to but in the long run they are downright delightful (and addicting) once you’ve gotten a taste for them!
B extends most of these scents into Bath and Body goodies as well such as Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars, Lotions and other bits and bobs!
Keep It Fluffy Body Powder
Love and B Scent Body Sprays
If your tastes run to the unique, unusual, rare, and posh B Never is something you’ll want to try!
My Collection of B Perfumes
B Never perfumes (and everything B offers) is most definately Muse approved!
Tell the Muse!
I have quite a collection of B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful perfume and cosmetics! If you don’t know about B you’re really missing out!
B is Lush Cosmetic’s younger, glamorous little sister! It’s a vegan line of cosmetics, bath goodies, and perfumes created by (with a little help from a buncha other people) Mark Constantine, Lush’s owner!
B Cosmetics are legendary for bringing the glam and gorgeous to cosmetics with cute little bejeweled pots of blush, eyeshadows, etc…They also do an ultra glam line of perfumes in vintage bottles!
I may do a spotlight on my B stash this week sometime but until then I bring you some great gifts from B that are definately gorgeous!
Two sets introduced this year are the Chocolate Box Sets which contain your choice of three or six eyeshadows plus an eyeshadow brush!
You can select the colors of your choice that goes into the box! Weeee! How very fun!
B Shadows are pretty good quality. They do not contain much shimmer but they are extremely pigmented and go on smooth with long lasting results! They come in vibrant, bold shades that are simply beautiful!
So these as a gift or for yourself are pure perfection!
£24.50 Gets you three B Shadows in your choice of color, one bejeweled shadow brush, and a gift box!
£49.95 Gets you six B Shadows, one bejeweled shadow brush, and a gift box!
