Neil Gaiman, himself, twittered about my Lush Stardust Bath Bomb post last night. I’m such a fan girl that this made me completely giddy after seeing it!
Thanks Neil, loves ya, alot and stuff.
See? Even brilliant authors like Lush and good sales!
Stardust, screams Gaiman doesn’t it? Considering Lush is quite British we could have went on a hunch that the name was Gaiman related if they hadn’t told us so!
If you’re a Lush fan, a Stardust fan, or a crazy screaming fan girl a la the Muse Gaiman fan you can stock up on some Lush Stardust Bath Bombs for 2 bucks and 95 cents. Lush has these little guys on sale right now knocked back from the original price tag of $6.95.
It’s almost but not quite as good as having Neil Gaiman in the tub with you, somethings are left up to the imagination. Go Steal!
Btw save an extra 15% off your total Lush purchase by entering promo code GIFTFORYOU09, the Muse tells you these things because she likes you.
Do you like pina coladas? Rupert Holmes obviously did, hells he made a whole song about it!

It’s a been a while since we had a beauty poll! Miss it?
Today is a poll of favorites! So what’s your fav place for Bath and Body goodies? Are you a fan of Victoria’s Secret or Bath and Body Works? If you had to choose one which would it be?
As for me I’m a big lover of Victoria’s Secret since they are a tad more on the unique side when compared to Bath and Body Works. Bath and Body Works used to have the edge with it’s interesting little cute items like the Temptations Collection but since they have gone very mainstream I find I prefer VS over BBW. Victoria’s Secret seemed to have more unique fragrances in their body splashes and they introduce some really fun items during the different seasons. So I’m def for VS.

The Muse enjoys a yummie bath treat or two which is why she’s ever so delighted to see that Jelly Pong Pong is joining the ranks of fancy, foody bath treats!
Jump ahead for the good word!
Jelly Pong Pong Cupcake Bath Fizzies will be launching on May 25th for $16 USD which gets you two cupcake treats for your bath!
Pop these scrumptious treats in your bath and watch ‘em fizzle happily away while they soften your water and moisturize your skin.
Sounds delightful to me! But please Jelly Pong Pong what exactly do they smell like? No description as of yet but count the Muse betting they smell like cupcakes? One can hope!
The Muse recently shared with you one of her favorite soap companoes, Villainess Soaps. If there is anything Villainess Soaps knows how to do, it’s create soaps that’s for sure. With many scents to discover Villainess Soaps keeps a boring bar of soap very exciting and fresh.
Today I’ll be reviewing for you two limited edition scents available from Villainess right now.
Skip ahead for it!
With swirly marble designs and pretty colors, Villainess Soap not only smells nice but looks darn beautiful too! These moisturizing soaps are an extra large size and create a ton of lather plus they come in incredibly unique scents. For $5 USD each they won’t break the bank either. To get more from a bar I normally slice them in half as they are quite a large size.
Two scents that are rotating in my shower at the moment are Krakatoa and Hoarfrost both of which are great for Spring or Summer with their fresh, fruity blends.
Krakatoa is a pretty off pink with swirls of cream and a metallic pink finish on top. The scent combines exotic coconut, banana, papaya, dewfruit, and mango with normal fruits such as apple, peach, plumps, pears, and raspberries. Topping these fruits is a shot of citrus orange, pineapple, lemon, and tangerine. Alot going on in this soap and it really comes through. With a light musk and a hint of sugar and a tiny bit of sandalwood to tie it altogether you’ll feel like you’re in paradise with this soap gracing your shower.
Hoarfrost brings just the opposite to the table with it’s pale, pink marble design. Combining the fruity scent of several berries and a cool blast of peppermint and eucalyptus you’ll end up with a cool, fruity experience. This one is sure to please anyone who likes cool, minty blends. The base notes of strawberry, raspberries, and blueberries blended with the coolness of peppermint and eucalyptus makes me think of cough syrup for some reason, but not in an unpleasant way. It’s quite an invigorating blend and it’s literally cooling on your skin so obviously ideal for your Summer shower!
If you’re looking for unique soaps with tons of character def check out Villainess Soaps. The Muse suggests Hoarfrost and Krakatoa to start with, both are yummy! Likey!
If you’re ordering something for your mum from Bath and Body Works (go now! There’s still time to get it in time for Mother’s Day!) you can slap these little guys into your cart too for a sweet bathing experience.
There are two Delish Bath Cupcakes on sale at Bath and Body Works for $6 each. You can choose from (or choose both) Carrot Cake or Sweetie Pie. Each is housed in a cute little gift box and tied with a ribbon, perfect for giving to mum (I’d keep it for myself though…eep how rotten of me! I can justify that by saying my mum is not a bath person anyway!).
If you’re ordering from BBW anyway it’s well worth tossing ‘em in your cart to tide over your shipping to $65 to take advantage of the free shipping. I’ve tried them before and they are quite delightful! Nice price, killer pressie!

The Muse has a certain dislike for Lush when they discontinue her very favorite products! Grrrr why Lush why!? Why must you cease to produce my favorite bath goodies? Why must it all come to end? Why? Why!
Thankfully Lush came up with a somewhat agreeable solution to the Muse’s mourning by introducing the Retro Lush line. This is where Lush “brings back” many old favorites that die hard fans, like the Muse, have been a missing! Thank the gods that they brought back Back for Breakfast Shower Gel because honestly the Muse couldn’t be held responsible if she ran out again!
The Muse remembers it well. She remembers exactly the time that Lush Back for Breakfast bit the big one. It was after Thanksgiving and the Muse had just discovered the joys of Lush one day when it popped up in her Amazon recommendations list, this was many years ago mind you. The Muse never got to experience the joys of Back for Breakfast herself but only second hand as it had been diced from the line up less than a month before the Muse’s discovery of the Lush religion.
However, less than a week later the Muse had scored a large bottle of Back for Breakfast from a Lush forum member in the UK who kindly swapped the bottle. Ever after that the Muse was possessed, obsessed, and mad enough to stalk Back for Breakfast down! By the end of that year (which wasn’t far off) she had gathered together at least 10 bottles of Back for Breakfast to tide her over with the hopes that this would last her for the next 10 years. Sadly, it didn’t!
On the verge of throwing herself off the nearest building the Muse pacified her love for Back of Breakfast and settled on Lush Happy Hippie, not nearly as good but the best one could do.
Why all this insanity for a simple shower gel?
Because it’s just so lovely!
With fresh grapefruit, lemon, and lime juices this shower gel was both tart, fruity, and sweet. It made the Muse’s hair sing in delight and made her shower experience a wonderful morning wake up call! Lush promises with use it’ll wake you up in the AM like no other shower gel and truth be told it does indeed wake up a girl and get her revved for the day ahead. That citrus cocktail of grapefruit, lemons, and limes really makes the Muse sing in the shower. It keeps her hair rather squeaky clean and makes it smell all fruity and fresh like too! Multitask, Multitask! Hair and body loves it!
I can’t begin to tell you how happy I was that Lush finally brought it back and now one can only hope it sticks around for a while otherwise the Muse may need to buy enough to last her for 50 years!
Lush Back for Breakfast Shower Gel, unquestionably Muse Approved for purchase! Get it! You need it, the Muse says so!
After yammering on and freaking on and on about how much I wanted Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Washes, the Muse finally caved and hauled ‘em all!
While the Muse’s friend Kira shopped butt floss the Muse wandered over to the Victoria’s Secret body care section and started stocking up on the brand new Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Washes in dozens, ok not dozens but almost, try half a dozen, what? I can’t just choose scent. Come on people I’m the Muse for crying out loud. Since the washes were 3 for $25 and there happened six that turned into the lucky number of the night. But have no fear my entire haul cost a mere $34 and change as I used my handy dandy 20% Off coupon plus I had a coupon that came in the mail for $10 off and finally I had a gift card with a whopping $9 bucks on it! Score! So each cost me less than $6 bucks or so.
Obviously I haven’t had a chance to use all of them but I just got out of the shower not 10 minutes ago after using Honey Do and the Muse likey! They smell quite strong and multitask as a shower gel, bubble bath, and shampoo. I used it as a shower gel and shampoo, now my hair is smelling all fruitylicious.
The scents I got were:
Coconut Craze
Appletini
Honey Do
Slice of Heaven
Juiced Berry
Candy, Baby
Coconut Craze is quite a nice tropical coconut blend but has a touch of headache inducing car air freshener scent if that makes sense at all. Appletini is nice and sweet, fruity, and has a nice tart round out. Honey Do is fresh, sweet, and smells very much like a cool melon. Juiced Berry is my favorite as it’s a nice fruity berry smell. Candy, Baby is a nice cotton candy vanilla like scent. And finally Slice of Heaven is a very nice sweet vanilla blend.
Compared to other 3-in-1′s such as BBW’s and Philosophy, these are def up there as a good decent wash and shampoo. They are extra strong smelling and moisturizing. All in all it makes the shower experience a sweet one. Likey!
Well worth checking out and Muse Approved for purchase!
The Muse has been a fan of Villainess Soaps for years now. She recently was thinking what a great Beauty Discovery it would make here at Musings as some of you perhaps never heard of this e-tailer!
Jump ahead to discover Villainess!
I thought that Villainess would make a great beauty discovery because they recently introduced a new skincare line to their normal routine. The new About Face collection includes mud masks and a makeup remover. Quite exciting to say the least.
For it’s fans Villainess is known for it’s incredibly unique round up of soaps that have a bit of a dark edge to them but are delightful none the less. Big slabs of colorful soap in an array of beautiful blends make up the catalog at Villainess with frequent introductions to special limited edition soaps that are available for a very short time which are known as “Temporary Insanity” this is what makes Villainess an interesting and fun bathing experience.
Villainess branches out to getting your skin not only clean but soft and dewy as well with it’s line of body scrubs that they call Smooch! And of course an entire line of whipped body creams wraps up their catalog. Recently, perfume oils have also made a guest starring appearance as of late!
Although the collection isn’t huge the release of new blends quite often keeps things fresh and of course keeps fans clamoring back for more please. With the introduction of it’s new face muds and makeup remover the catalog delves deeper into keeping not only our bodies squeaky clean but our faces as well.
I’ll be reviewing a few pieces I recently purchased for you in an upcoming post including the brand new muds but I thought I’d introduce you to Villainess Soaps today and tell you what a great beauty discovery it is!
