After yammering on and freaking on and on about how much I wanted Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Washes, the Muse finally caved and hauled ‘em all!
While the Muse’s friend Kira shopped butt floss the Muse wandered over to the Victoria’s Secret body care section and started stocking up on the brand new Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Washes in dozens, ok not dozens but almost, try half a dozen, what? I can’t just choose scent. Come on people I’m the Muse for crying out loud. Since the washes were 3 for $25 and there happened six that turned into the lucky number of the night. But have no fear my entire haul cost a mere $34 and change as I used my handy dandy 20% Off coupon plus I had a coupon that came in the mail for $10 off and finally I had a gift card with a whopping $9 bucks on it! Score! So each cost me less than $6 bucks or so.
Obviously I haven’t had a chance to use all of them but I just got out of the shower not 10 minutes ago after using Honey Do and the Muse likey! They smell quite strong and multitask as a shower gel, bubble bath, and shampoo. I used it as a shower gel and shampoo, now my hair is smelling all fruitylicious.
The scents I got were:
Slice of Heaven
Coconut Craze is quite a nice tropical coconut blend but has a touch of headache inducing car air freshener scent if that makes sense at all. Appletini is nice and sweet, fruity, and has a nice tart round out. Honey Do is fresh, sweet, and smells very much like a cool melon. Juiced Berry is my favorite as it’s a nice fruity berry smell. Candy, Baby is a nice cotton candy vanilla like scent. And finally Slice of Heaven is a very nice sweet vanilla blend.
Compared to other 3-in-1′s such as BBW’s and Philosophy, these are def up there as a good decent wash and shampoo. They are extra strong smelling and moisturizing. All in all it makes the shower experience a sweet one. Likey!
Well worth checking out and Muse Approved for purchase!
The Muse has been a fan of Villainess Soaps for years now. She recently was thinking what a great Beauty Discovery it would make here at Musings as some of you perhaps never heard of this e-tailer!
Jump ahead to discover Villainess!
I thought that Villainess would make a great beauty discovery because they recently introduced a new skincare line to their normal routine. The new About Face collection includes mud masks and a makeup remover. Quite exciting to say the least.
For it’s fans Villainess is known for it’s incredibly unique round up of soaps that have a bit of a dark edge to them but are delightful none the less. Big slabs of colorful soap in an array of beautiful blends make up the catalog at Villainess with frequent introductions to special limited edition soaps that are available for a very short time which are known as “Temporary Insanity” this is what makes Villainess an interesting and fun bathing experience.
Villainess branches out to getting your skin not only clean but soft and dewy as well with it’s line of body scrubs that they call Smooch! And of course an entire line of whipped body creams wraps up their catalog. Recently, perfume oils have also made a guest starring appearance as of late!
Although the collection isn’t huge the release of new blends quite often keeps things fresh and of course keeps fans clamoring back for more please. With the introduction of it’s new face muds and makeup remover the catalog delves deeper into keeping not only our bodies squeaky clean but our faces as well.
I’ll be reviewing a few pieces I recently purchased for you in an upcoming post including the brand new muds but I thought I’d introduce you to Villainess Soaps today and tell you what a great beauty discovery it is!
The Muse hopes by now that you discovered the joys of Buffy and may God help you if you haven’t. Hello, it’s Summer soon you want your legs, elbows, and knees in tip top shape right? Head to Lush and snag yourself a bar of the Muse’s favorite scrubby friend, Buffy and get to work!
Well don’t take my word for it! Watch this lovely British Lushie tell us all about the benefits of Buffy:
Aw isn’t he lovely?
See kids? Buffy is good for you. Anyway this is technically not a muse about Buffy, it’s about the brand new Sugar Scrubs from Lush!
Jump ahead for the deets!
Since the new Sugar Scrubs are along the same lines as my beloved Buffy, I’m of course quite excited about their release and already placed an order (Yes, Lush UK ships to the US) eep!
These are a mix of bicarb and cream of tartar plus moisturizing coconut oil which solidifies the product into a buttery bar. Two flavors are available Sugar Babe and A. Sugar Scrub. Sugar Babe is a ylang flowers and mimosa blossom blend and A. Sugar Scrub is a fennel, ginger and lavender blend.
The Muse thinks these are perfect for scrubbing away all her nasty, dry skin from the harsh Winter while making it soft, moisturized, and pretty for Summer. Likey! If you do order, please remember to order now as they will melt in the warmer weather. Sadly, Lush Sugar Scrub is not vegan friendly.
The Muse always feels the need for more shower gels. It just so happens that she stock piles shower gels like no one’s business. The bad news is, that if we run out of water she’s sure going to have a buncha useless bottles of gel but the good news is she smells really pretty in the morning.
If you’re feel the need for a unique showering experience in a jumbo size with a little price tag she says check out Pacifica for all your feel good shower experiences!
Pacifica Body Wash, like everything Pacifica, is available in a great size for a small price tag. $18 USD gets you 16 oz of uniquely scented shower gel! Likey!
Pacifica Body Wash is full of organic ingredients and natural essential oils that make indulging good for you. Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, and Petro-Chemicals and Vegan friendly, these are sure to please the green friendly!
The body wash is nicely moisturizing and doesn’t dry my skin out. It creates mounds of foamy suds! Weee! They smell so good I used some in my hair as shampoo eep! Is that even allowed in the shower gel world? Oh wells!
I already own Pacifica Lotion in Lotus Garden and Bali Lime Papaya so I was delighted to add both scents to my collection in shower gel form! Good for layering.
Lotus Garden is turning out to be my absolute fav Pacifica scent lately and I can’t get enough of it. Lotus Garden has is a crisp, clean citrus. The citrus keeps the blend fruity but it’s quickly followed up with green notes and a strong underlay of lotus which gives a clean note to the fragrance. It’s quite unusual and very, very unique!
The other scent I have is Bali Lime Papaya which has notes of papaya but with just the right amount of lime to create a complexity that’s fruity and sweet! Likey! Perfect for Summer wear!
Any way you splice it Pacifica gets you alot of bang for your buck plus it’s vegan! Gotta loves it!
Total Muse Approval for purchase!
The entire Pacifica Collection is available from Sephora now! Check it at www.sephora.com
The Muse recently discovered The Body Bakery and couldn’t help but be suckered in by the allure of various skincare and haircare goodes that were customized in scents of her own choosing like Cookie Dough, Bubblegum Ice Cream, and Vanilla Cupcake!
Take a trip with the Muse through a bakery for your body in this edition of Beauty Discoveries!
The Body Bakery pretty much has everything one could want for their haircare, skincare, and beauty regime but with a little bit of a sweet, bakery twist! Cupcake Conditioner? Check. Whipped Cream? Check. Pat-a-Cake Hand Cream? The bakery has that too! With sweet little names and even sweeter scents, The Body Bakery offers a range of product like no other with plenty of customizable options and over 40 scents to choose from. Want your Cupcake Conditioner scented like a Butterscotch Brownie? No problem The Body Bakery will serve that right up for you! How about some hand cream that smells like Strawberry Taffy? They got that too!
The Muse recently tried out two of the offerings from The Body Bakery and couldn’t help but get quickly addicted. Cupcake Conditioner in Sparkling Fruit Punch has been detangling my hair all week and making me smell fruity and sweet (so much so that I get many a compliment of, “what is that sweet smell?!). Packed in a large tube with a pump this luxurious conditioner contains plenty of softening oils to add shine to my hair and volume. I can even multitask and use it as a shaving cream! As I mentioned above, Body Bakery offers a customized option for scenting any of their products in a scent of your choosing! Cool, likey! I choose Sparkling Fruit Punch which is an overly sweet (just like the Muse), fruity affair. The scent of lingers long time and gives off plenty of throw. This Muse couldn’t help but sniff her hair every two secs just to enjoy the smell! The formula is nice and thick but doesn’t weight my hair down thankfully.
I also tried out The Body Bakery’s Soap Cake in Orange Chiffon Cake….mmmm so yummie. Cake and orange go so well together. This chunky soap is made from shea butter and silk foam so it gives an extra moisturizing, soft cleaning to skin! My shower was smelling like Orange Chiffon Cake this morning and I was loving it all the way. Nothing like waking up to the smell of cake in the morning!
The Body Bakery caters to just about anything you might be looking for including cosmetics! Lip Butters, Mineral Powders, and glosses are all available in shop plus plenty of options for haircare including shampoos, conditioners! Truly it’s a one stop shop for all your beauty purchases plus the customizing options make it all the more appealing.
If you’re looking for something a little bit different I suggest checking out The Body Bakery, the Muse thinks it’s a fine Beauty Discovery. Special thanks to Lia at The Body Bakery for offering readers of the Muse’s blog 20% Off your total purchase by entering promo code MUSE at checkout! Yay!
So head on over and experience a little slice of heaven!
There’s something terribly attractive about peaches. Sweet, juicy, and fuzzy….ok, well maybe the fuzzy part isn’t all that appealing!
L’occitane obviously knows the value of a good peach which is why they have a brand new collection dedicated to that sweet, juicy, fuzzy fruit!
L’occitane Peach Blossom is a brand new exquisite fragrance that combines the scent of velvety white peaches with lemon, and bergamont with a base of musk, iris, and tonka bean.
Considering how much I adore the lemony goodness of L’occitane Verbena I could probably quickly get on board with L’occitane Peach Blossom.
The collection is an array of limited edition pieces that include an EDT, lip gloss, body gel, shower gel and more! Prices range from $12-$46 USD. I was particularly delighted that the EDT was $46 USD as isn’t the 3.4 oz normally around $67-$76 USD or am I totally losing my mind here?
I’m feeling the love so I think I’ll head out to L’occitane too to nab some for a review.
