For Your Shower and Bath
Oh hai! I’m the Muse and I have a beauty confession for you today (I’ll be sharing more beauty confessions with you soon but you’ll have to wait and be patient).
You know those little mesh hanging sponges that you use in the shower with your fav shower gel or wash?
I have a beauty confession about those little guys!
Jump ahead to read it!
So the Muse is so anal that she tosses these sponges out every three weeks. I know, I know I can totally get more use out of them than a mere three weeks but…..
The story goes like this….
I dunno remember what I was watching or where but it was this beauty documentary somewhere, someplace and on this doc they mentioned how many germs and how much bacteria grow in your shower and within sponges, toothbrushes, etc…of course we all knew that already but it freaked me out so much that I toss those little sponge meshes out every three weeks. Indeed, I do this religiously.
So you might be the frugal type and thinking gosh she’s insane all that money for the sponge and she’s tossing it? Turns out the Muse’s mother is the dollar store Queen of Manhattan. I. hate. dollar. stores. with. a. passion. I hate them but my mum loves them with a passion. The lady sniffs out every single dollar store within a quarter of a mile radius and attacks. She adores dollar stores with a passion and will proceed to call me to rave about her awesome hauls from said locations. Personally the Muse won’t step a foot into one but lucky for her that her mum is indeed the dollar store Queen which means that said dollar store Queen tells the Muse to buy bulk mesh sponges for a buck at the local dollar store. Well, wow, awesome! Who knew? Now I feel less guilty about tossing out my bacteria ridden mesh sponges!
That was rather a long confession wasn’t it? You know you love me.
Go ahead confess your beauty!
The Muse is listening!
The Muse is terribly fond of reminding everyone how Philosophy has really improved on it’s 3-in-1 Shower Gels as of late….I can’t be the only one that feels this way right?
But of course their newest QVC Exclusive has me wanting to sample it as the idea of Apricots and Cream sounds heavenly!
This three piece kit contains large sizes (24oz chubby bottle) of the newest Philosophy scent Apricots and Cream. You’ll get Philosophy 3-in-1 Shower Gel, Philosophy Body Lotion, and Philosophy Lip Shine all in the brand new scent for the perfect fruity sweet layering experience!
The price of the kit is $48.06 USD. Each 24oz shower gel normally prices at $20 USD so you aren’t really saving a ton of money by buying the kit. If you’re purchasing each item separate the total cost would be $50 USD plus tax and in this case with shipping and tax it comes to nearly $60 USD. Honestly, the only thing you are getting is the limited edition products and exclusivity of the kit although we all know sooner or later these things have a way of popping up on Sephora. Taking cost into consideration, although I really want to try out the shower gel I have no need of another lotion or lipshine so I think I’ll wait to see if Philosophy Shower Gel in Apricots and Cream ends up at Sephora sometime soon!
If you absolutely need it now look up item number A90250 at QVC.

I sincerely love Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Body Double Mists
with a passion. They smell so scrumptious!
So of course I was completely excited to see that they extended the line recently and are now featuring Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Wash.
The new body wash comes in Candy, Juiced Berry, Coconut Craze, Honey Do, Slice of Heaven, and Appletini.
You can use these as a shower gel, bubble bath, or shampoo a la Philosophy 3-in-1’s! Awesome right? Plus they are priced at 3 for $25 USD so you won’t break the bank too much by indulging!
I seriously do NOT need another shower gel but lord knows I really want to haul some of these.
Anyone with me?
Tired ’em already?

The Muse is terribly obsessed with the Crabree & Evenlyn Distillations Collection. I recently reviewed the Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Revitalize Conditioning Body Lotion which was love at first application. Today I’ll be bringing you a review of the Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Soothing Body Lotion and Gentle Cream Body Wash.
Jump ahead for the deets!
The new Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations line up combines the benefits of 100% essential oils and natural ingredients to create a relaxing blend for both your skin and your senses. Each blend contains no parabens, no mineral oil, and absolutely no additives.
Although I’ve already tried out the Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Soothing Body Lotion that version was a revitalizing blend which contained tart lemons to wake this tired Muse up! The blend I’m currently loving is filled with relaxing lavender and rosewood essential oils which makes it the perfect sleepy time body lotion. The lotion absorbs on contact and melts into skin beautifully leaving behind a lovely herbal scent that’s soothing and healing to my dry skin. The scent is relaxing and quite comforting which makes it an ideal lotion to use just before bed. I’ll save my other lotion for early morning wake up calls!
This is my first time trying Crabtree & Evelyn Distillations Gentle Cream Body Wash. This too is scented with lavender and rosewood essential oils which makes it a perfect companion to layer with my body lotion. The formula is a creamy, dreamy moisturizing body wash that cleanses as it moisturizes my dull, dry skin. The lavender does a wonderful job of soothing my skin and locking in moisture and of course, it’s simply relaxing to breath in the scent while I shower!
I’m really enjoying this new collection and think it’s well worth checking out for yourself!

Scrub away rough elbows and knees with a great beauty budget fine! liiv botanicals Revitalizing Body Scrub from Avon is a brand new scrub that’ll help get your rough bits back into silky soft form in a snap!
Before I jump full into this review I have to say I’m a little itty bitty disappointed that liiv botanicals Revitalizing Body Scrub doesn’t have the awesome smell that liiv Botanicals Moisture Body Boosting Butter did! Darn it! I’m so addicted to the smell of that body butter that I was kinda hopeful the entire line would sport the same scent!
Aside from that minor rant I actually liked this body scrub plus it’s only $8.50 USD, hello scrubbie for less the Muse is your new best friend!
liiv botanicals Revitalizing Body Scrub is a thick foaming scrub that has plenty of scrubbing action to get rough body parts buffed and polished to a silky, smooth finish. The scrub smells fresh with hints of cucumber and botanicals. It cleanses while it scrubs leaving behind super soft, smooth moisturized skin.
I personally liked it alot as my skin is terribly dry right now but I don’t know if I recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin as it has a whole lot of scrubbing action going on so it could be a bit too much for some.
All in all if you’re keeping a tight budget at the moment this is a great wallet-friendly purchase for getting your dry Winter skin ready for the upcoming warmer weather!
