It’s probably too early to be thinking about fragrances for the Holidays. I’m still on board with the scent of spicy pumpkin and fresh apples but…in the makeup and fragrance world the Holidays are pretty much here full on. BPAL already introduced their Yules, you should check ‘em, they are doing the Nutcracker this year!
And most important, Christmas, wouldn’t be Christmas without a little help from the Bath and Body Works Signature Collection. Would you believe me if I told you Twisted Peppermint started out life as a shower gel not as a body mist? How did we live without it?!
Ahh the Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style Collection launched recently. Anyone sniff ‘em yet? I haven’t but I’m gagging to try ‘em out. None to impressed with the velvet-y bobble head bottles, I thought the old girls were way cuter, but regardless I find some of the scents are always keepers with each launch.
I know some of you emailed me asking when I’d review and I’m working on it soonish so no worries, give you the deets shortly.
Until that time, here’s a break down of the new girls!
My first introduction to Lola was when I was a mere babe and my parents had this monster cabinet. Inside the cabinet was an 8-Track Tape Player, yeah, my parents are obviously old and stuff, and a record player. On an old 45 (those are what smaller records were called way back in the time of dinosaurs) was Lola. She was a Show Girl.
No, but seriously, my first introduction to anything Lola was a Show Girl that Barry Manilow sung his little lungs out about. These things stick with you well into adulthood when you’re exposed to them as such a young age so now anytime I hear Lola I simply think of that tune and my foot starts tapping and I have a sudden urge to burst into song.
Now Marc Jacobs Lola has that Show Girl vibe with a big giant flower decking its bottle topper and I can’t help but thing of super fabulous Show Girls (not the washed up variety, promise!).
Are you a Marc Jacobs Lola fan?
Lush’s most popular shampoo bar? I’d have to say Godiva. Everyone adores it, including my sister who stock piles it all crazy-like. I like Godiva but it isn’t a favorite of mine.
However, fans of the shampoo bar will be overjoyed that one of the newly launched Gorilla Perfume Fragrances is actually Godiva but renamed.
Let’s have a look!
