Brocato Peppermint Scrub Fresh Hair And Scalp Leave In Tonic

Dude, whenever I think of hair tonic I think of The Outsiders. Those boys had some serious gel’ed up, tonic’ed up hair going on. They had so much grease in their hair you could prob light a match under it and cook up some bacon and eggs!

Brocato Peppermint Scrub Fresh Hair And Scalp Leave In Tonic 2

So of course when I got Brocato Peppermint Scrub Fresh Hair And Scalp Leave In Tonic I was all oh no you didn’t! No ways am I putting tonic in these locks! I just naturally associate it with build up, grease, oil, and oh yes, The Outsiders!

But now I’m kinda obsessed with this stuff. I blame the peppermint, I just can’t say no to anything that’s minty fresh!

Lush Scent Dupes: Lathers & Lights Lush Rock Star and Lush Candy Fluff Dupes

Lush Scent Dupes 1

The Muse loves herself some Lush, with a passion. I’ve been a Lush fan as far back as Cosmetics To Go (If you’re a Lushie you’ll know all about CTG) but I’ve always wondered at their mentality over at Lush. Some of my very favorite scents never make it into products I’d really love to see scented with them. Like I’d love a Snow Fairy scented shampoo, granted I can use Snow Fairy Shower Gel in my hair but still I’d adore a shampoo and conditioner scented like this!

The good news is you can find dupes, damn good dupes, of all your favorite Lush scents.

Accessory Corner: Goody Midnight Glamour Hair Accessories Collection Giveaway

The Muse’s heart was crushed when Lonely Boy told the Queen B, “No headbands in college…”

But, but, but…The Muse can’t live life without a proper headband holding her crazy curls in place.  Lord, knows my day to day life would be completely overs if I didn’t have a proper headband to keep my hair out of my face.  It’s long, it’s curly, and it has a life of it’s own.  So, yes, yes, yes headbands in college and headbands now.

Besides when did Dan Humphrey become the authority on good fashion.

Anyway…you may want to spice up your Holiday with a few headbands and not take Dan’s advice on these things.

Want cheap ones?  Pretty ones too?  Want some for free?  I’m giving away a few headbands today from the lovely folk over at Goody.

WEN by Chav Dean Cleansing Conditioner Review

The Muse recently jumped at the chance to try out a Wen by Chav Dean Healthy Hair Care System. Seriously, I’ve been wanting to indulge in the Wen line for so long, I’ve lost count of the times the lemming has come over me. I do so wonder why I haven’t tried it up until now because I’m positive I’ve had it in my cart a million different times over the last two years.

WEN Cleansing Conditioner 1

As you know I’m a Lush girl at heart so about 98% of my hair care, skin care, and the likes are for the most part Lush in nature. One main reason I prefer Lush is the lack of silicons in the hair products which leave my hair lighter and less weighted down with product and build up. But on occasion I can be tempted away from Lush to check out something new…..Today that would be WEN by Chaz Dean Cleansing Conditioner that tempted me away from Lush and has been tempting me away for the past week or so.

Jump ahead for the review.

Carols Daughter Princess Tiana Beauty Collection 1

The Muse is still very much a kid at heart which is why the new Carol’s Daughter Princess Tiana Beauty Collection is calling out to me. Lush Ibiza Party Shampoo Review

The Muse went to Ibiza once when she was 12, it’s obviously been too long since that trip. I do remember thinking, even back than, omg cute guys and paradise. These things do wander through a pre-teen’s mind on occasion.

Since I haven’t been to Ibiza since I’ve been settling for partying like I’m there with Lush Ibiza Party Shampoo!

Let the games begin!

Jump for it!

Ibiza Party Shampoo was created in the good old days and recently was brought back (as it was discontinued long ago) to the Retro Lush Collection. The shampoo was created for clubbers…what? I don’t make this stuff up, Lush does. It contains lemon, grapefruit and pimento berry to keep your hair shiny and awake into the early hours…again that’s all Lush talkin’ there. The thing is I think they slipped a little hemp in my bottle because it smells like hemp and citrus, w00t I’m really going to party like it’s 1999 now!

I’m not too keen on the smell even after all these years of using it but I do so admit it keeps my hair incredibly light feeling, frizz and tangle free, and just squeaky clean. God, I love you Lush for making everyday a good hair day.

Get it while the getting is good as it is part of Retro Lush so who knows how long it’ll stick around.

Start partying peeps!

Back to School Beauty: Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Collection Review

back+to+school

Gosh I imagine some of you are preparing to head back to school soon or will be shortly! Lucky you. I remember my days at school quite fondly, fun, fun. As you begin preparations to pack up for college you’ll notice plenty of cosmetics, hair and skin care goodies launching new lines to tempt and tease you at check out. You obviously need to wash your hair while away at school…ok, I’ll be fair…some of us don’t bother washing while we’re at school especially laundry nor do we sleep or eat anything that doesn’t come from a vending machine, it’s cool, we’ve all been there. However, budget friendly options are available so at the very least let’s try to keep our hair squeaky clean.

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Collection is a new line of products designed to work together to achieve a touchable tousled look. Believe me I TRY so hard to gain this look it’s not even funny. Stiff, crunchy hair is OUT, soft, tousled locks are so IN.

Check out the brand new Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Collect below (it’s budget friendly too).

If you’re a fan of Herbal Essences you’ll be happy to know the entire line is quite budget friendly with a $2.99 price tag (aside from the finishing cream marked at a reasonable $5.49 for a large jar). So if you’re looking to snag some hair care to tote away with you to school or you’re in need of soft, tousled curls that aren’t going to cost you a ton of cash check out some of these options!

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Shampoo and Conditioner $2.99
Cleanses hair without stripping and smells super fresh and pretty too!

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse $2.99
A lightweight mousse to hold curls without that icky stuff, crunchy feel!

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Hair Spray $2.99
Keeps hair in place minus stickiness!

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel $2.99
Perfect for styling damp hair to set a style in a snap.

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Finishing Cream $5.49
My favorite of the products. This is a soft conditioning cream for wet hair that makes your tresses oh so soft and scented pretty.

You know the Muse, she’s normally a Lush fan for life but I can be occasionally tempted to the dark side to indulge in cheap drugstore hair care goodies. Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Collection is particularly good for someone like me who avoids hair dryers like the plague. The products can all be used on my wet hair to create soft, frizz-free curls that are gently tousled and pretty. For $2.99 it’s not going to change your hair’s life but it sure will attempt to!

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Collection is available now at your local drugstore.

Stay tuned for more back to school beauty buys in upcoming posts.

Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist Review

I hate the beach. Sorry. Since I hate the beach it’s impossible to get beach hair. Beach hair seems absolutely essential to Summer and if I don’t have beach hair I might not be “in”….I must have beach hair at any cost!

Ok..dramatic I know but seriously. I don’t do beaches…sand, sea weed, etc…if God had meant for us to thread around on hot sand, wade in salt water, and have the sun beating on our heads, he’d have given us fins at the very least dontcha think?

Beach hair seems to be the in thing during the Summer months. That slightly damp, mussed up look a la the Little Mermaid. You know hawt tresses that look like you dived into the ocean, spread out on a beach towel, and let the wind dry out your salt laden hair to perfection. Who knew that the beach could do good things for your hair right?

If you aren’t a lover of the beach but still desire the hair that goes along with a trip to the shore peep at my review below!

Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist is awesome hair in a bottle sans the beach. A cocktail of sea salt, extracts of algae, orchid, Tahitian gardenia, aloe vera, oils of kukui and coconut and possible a little bit of sand (ok I made the sand part up) gives tresses texture, body, bounce, volume, and hold for that beach worthy look you’re craving.

God this stuff smells incredible. Can’t we has sniff o’ vision on the Interwebz? I’ll talk to Al Gore and see what we can arrange, the mighty guru of Internet creation. I wish I can explain the scent to you but it’s a bit complex…think fresh, think slightly floral, think…the beach…Maui with a little wowie thrown in there. Loves it!

So what’s it do?

Take your slightly damp hair (or dry but damp gets the best results in my humble opinion) and mist a bit of Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist onto your locks. Don’t comb it through just scrunch it gently if you like or flip it upside down and shake (this works a treat plus you’ll feel like you’re in some shampoo or styling commercial). That’s about it…the results are bouncy, textured locks, with a bit of volume that simply makes you look like you just bounced off the sand.

Beach hair easy and mess free in a bottle plus no sand in unusual places!

Adore this stuff. Muse Approved for Purchase, it’s one of my Summer Makeup Must Haves!

Beauty Babblings: Sephora France Shampooing Shampoo

Sephora+France+Shampooing+Shampoo

Ha and you thought that Sephora US had some stupid offerings! Check out Sephora France’s Shampooing Shampoo.

It’s a shampooing shampoo which basically means it’s a shampoo you can shampoo with. Cool right?

Um clearance rack anyone?

Jump for it!

Available in 14 scents this is a mild shampoo from Sephora France.

Ok, ok I admit that I’m eager to start shampooing my hair with shampoo that has scents like Chocolate Praline and Vanilla Creme Brulee. Maybe Sephora France does have the upper hand here.

Want it?

Can’t have it, exclusive to Sephora France sadly.

No worries maybe the shampooing craze will catch on and Sephora US will start carrying these and we can all indulge when they hit the clearance rack for a buck.

Likey!

What do you think about Sephora releasing shampoos?

Yay or Nay?

L’Oreal Extra Gentle 2-in-1 Buck’s Berrydactyl Shampoo

The Muse is terribly childish, believe me she knows this, but today when L’Oreal Extra Gentle 2-in-1 Buck’s Berrydactyl Shampoo popped in my mailbox I got terribly excited. As you know I’m a fond fan of detoxing my locks with baby shampoo but for the most part I was just excited about the art of the bottle featuring Buck from the new Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs film in theaters July 1st.

What?

I’m a big kid at heart!

Along with Buck’s Berrydactyl Shampoo, L’Oreal is also releasing Ellie’s Orangesaurus, Diego’s Man Eating Melon, and Sid’s Pineapple Shampoo. Yes, I want to collect all the scents…particularly the orange and pineapple!

A while ago I wrote an article about clarifying your hair with kid’s and baby shampoo you can see that article here. Buck will aid me in getting my hair squeaky clean with a bit of a berry scent to go with it plus he’s cheap as day old chips with a price tag of $2.99 or less. Likey.

Ok, end childish post.

You may proceed to share your thoughts about Ice Age, kid’s shampoo, or other babblings in the comment field.

I’m a listening!
