Bath & Body
August 11th peeps that means we are nearly half way through the month and you, if you’re in high school or college, have probably already started shopping for your return to class.
Yay….heavy sarcasm on the yay there because most of you are probably groaning and dragging your butts to Target, Staples, and Walmart whining all the way. Sucks going back after all that time off doesn’t it? But hey embrace it! It’s the best time of the year to experience new beauty, skincare, cosmetics, and other bits and bobs.
Since I happened to be a broke as smoke college student at one time in my life I thought I’d do a Back to School Beauty and Cosmetic Budget Pick Series which highlights some great buys that won’t burst your bank account. I’ll be spotlighting cosmetics, skincare, and other fab little finds for those of you heading Back to School!
Jump ahead for my first pick and keep it tuned in for new finds daily to make Back to School easier and cheaper!
Ahhh Halloween. My very favorite Holiday. No, not Christmas, nope, not Thanksgiving…Halloween. Yes, that’s my favorite Holiday of the year. When else can you get candy just about everywhere you go? When else is it completely acceptable to eat entire bags of sweets without worrying about the calories? What other day would you be able to tolerate creepy, crawlers…including…gasp spiders!
My goth side absolutely adores this holiday. Tis way better than Christmas, I don’t care what you say!
Philosophy, as always, brings us some delightfully creepy offerings for Halloween and Fall this year. Wanna take a look?
If you’re reading in RSS please visit my blog to enjoy the slideshow embedded in this post.
What is it about Philosophy Shower Gels that make me want to collect every single one they come out with?
Somebody stop me please!
If you asked me what my ideal perfume scent would be, I’d probably answer and say something like gummi bears!
Yeah, I’m hardcore when it comes to sweet scents. I really love fruity, sweet candy-like blends but…….I do tend to migrate to unusual ones as well like spicy florals or interesting fruity florals. I’m a Jill of all Trades when it comes to fragrance however I definitely feel most comfortable with something sweet.
A reader wrote to me recently and said, “Muse, I know you’re keen on sweet stuff but have you tried Lush Vanillary?”
Why, yes, I have.
Vanilla is outside my norm to be honest and it’s not something I seek out in my fragrances however with Lush’s name stamped all over it, it’s instantly something I purchased as soon as it released last year.
There’s one thing you should always remember about Lush, THEY KNOW how to create good fragrance.
Although poisonous, Snow White was pretty much attracted to sinking her teeth into that crunchy, red apple that her wicked stepmother presented to her. Who could blame her, girlfriend was hungry after walking around that forest all day!
Ahh apples. There’s just something terribly enchanting about a bright, shiny, apple. Speaking of enchanting apples…..Nina Ricci always charms my money right out of my pocket with her whimsical little apple shaped fragrances.
Anyone sniff Nina Ricci Le Paradis de Nina the newest fragrance in the line?
