What was that tag line from Field of Dreams? Build it and they will come? I need to steal that for cheap Asian Eau de Toilettes….”Make them and she will buy them…” That’s me, sucker punched into purchasing really bad EDT sprays from Korea.
I keep buying into cheapie EDT sprays because they are so damn cute but OMG they smell like…
My Beauty Diary has a new range of sheet masks that were released several months ago entitled Blooming of Beauty. These masks are a new range that are supposedly more effective than the the masks in the general catalog. They also sport a thinner material that allows the essence to be absorbed more easily into the skin.
Since I wanted to try the entire range of masks in the Blooming Beauty Collection I decided to get a the My Beauty Dairy Blooming of Beauty Mask Package Set.
Maybe I’m craving matcha but when I tried out the My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser I could swear it smelled like some sort of matcha tea or candy!
This foaming cleanser is available for a limited time and supposedly contains amino acids. Amino acids are supposed to stimulate the product of collagen so your skin will look firmer and fine lines and wrinkles will appear plumped up and less visible…yeah, well, you know how it goes with skincare promising us the world.
I will say it’s a great cleanser and hey, if by some chance it has some anti-aging benefits in the long run you won’t hear me complaining!
As you know I’m quite the fan girl when it comes to My Beauty Diary Face Masks so when Face Q (made by the same company) started popping up on the scene I made double sure to haul a few boxes and see what all the hype was about.
If you’ve never used a face mask they are truly a treat. Sadly, the Western market hasn’t quite caught the facial mask bug and they aren’t something you’d easily have access to at your drugstore unlike Asia where they are available at both high end counters with large price tags and drugstore for mere pennies.
Let’s take a look at the Face Q Peony, Snow and Sake Yeast Whitening Masks.
As cool and refreshing as a peach soda sounds might I say that having it in an eye & lip makeup remover formula makes it double wicked and tempting?
My Beauty Diary recently released a range of skincare collection entitled My Tea Time one item included with the collection is their new Peach Soda Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. Damn these Asian companies, they really know how to tempt a girl……doesn’t the name just beg you to buy it?
Clio is a brand of cosmetics in Korea. The brand has some really great makeup products and veers away from the cutesy aspect of makeup that we sometimes see from other Asian brands.
Baby Foot is a popular epidemic that has swept the Asian market. It’s basically a system that you use to make your feet smoother by the way of a peeling effect. Reader’s have viewed my post for Baby Foot over 10,000 since I originally posted in back in 2009!
I guess alot of folks are into foot peeling!
In honor of the huge response to the post, I’m reposting it today for you to enjoy again or if you’re new you’re in for a treat.
Please put down your food and drink prior to jumping ahead though…it’s kinda gross.
Banila Co is an interesting brand available exclusively in Korea. Some of the items they create are pretty brilliant and they have some sincerely wonderful eye palettes that I adore.
Most notable to the brand is their baked shadows and face powders. I have quite a few of their baked powders however none of their shadows so last year I went ahead and indulged in one. I’m actually happy I didn’t decided to grab several shades as I would normally do because the one shade I did try was a tad disappointing.
As you know from my prior Musings Korean Brand, Etude House has released Miss Tangerine which is a collection that features vibrant shades of orange for Spring.
Skin Food Lettuce & Cucumber Massage is an oil-free massage gel with lettuce and cucumber extracts that provides water and nutrients to skin.
I’m a huge fan of the Lettuce & Cucumber Collection and it’s my skincare of choice for Summer. I’ve had the massage gel laying about for a while but I never actually sit around massaging my face. Anyone actually embrace the technique?
A facial massage facilitates blood circulation and relaxes skin while helping with wrinkles thus a massage gel with good glide is always helpful.
Gimmick? Who knows! Lush Cosmetics had instructions and a video for giving oneself a full face massage which proved interesting and many Asian products and magazines recommend such techniques but I honestly don’t have the patience for it…I’m already doing way TOO much with my skin as is, now I need to massage it too?
Holika Holika introduced its Hand Warmer Moisture Hand Cream over the holidays. The packaging and the name kinda threw me as I thought maybe it would literally warm hands up so I got a few of them to tuck into my sister’s stocking as she’s always pissing and moaning about cold hands and feet.
Sadly, it doesn’t actually heat up hands and proved to be just a basic hand cream!
