The British are busy, busy, busy in the BB Cream realm. They are the first to get many major drugstore brand BB Creams which I suspect, if we’re lucky, we’ll see either Fall 2012 or Winter 2012.
If we get lucky maybe we’ll even see them this Summer but I’m doubting that.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream should appeal to those who love the Dream Mousse Collection as this seems like something they’ll likely fit into that category.
Take a look!
Most commonly asked question…
“What’s your favorite BB Cream?”
It’s tough to answer this because I tend to use a different one everyday since I have over 30 tubes in rotation ay any given time and I’m always testing new ones. That’s possibly obscene and slightly crazy but I’m just like every other girl or guy out there, I’m seeking flawless skin and BB Creams provide it.
One thing I will say is I go back again and again to a few particularly formulas I love one of which is BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream.
It tops my hit list.
Is it a tinted moisturizer or is it a BB Cream?
Origins A Perfect World throws around BB Cream and tinted moisturizer very loosely with this new product launch so obviously they don’t know the difference between the two products….
Hmm tsk tsk!
Garnier cornered the drugstore BB Cream market here in the US and currently dominates it. As one of the first and ONLY BB Creams available at the drugstore, Garnier has something to crow about (even if the formula stinks).
But I’ve speculated before that it won’t be very long before BB Creams starting popping up more and more in US Drugstores. It’s already starting to happen in the UK and throughout Europe.
L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream completes with the likes of Dr Brandt with a new color transforming BB Cream available now in the UK, I suspect it won’t be long before we see it here in the US, perhaps Fall 2012?
Having been a long time user and fan of Korean BB Creams I’ve very pleased they have finally entered the US market. Actually, technically, I’m both pleased and disappointed.
The formula has under gone some vast changes in the transition from the Eastern to Western market. It is understandable though on some levels. There is room for adjustment in the formula as well since our market isn’t as interested in the whitening abilities of skincare products as a dominate Asia market would be.
Unfortunately, one of the things that is unforgivable is that formulas introduced have morphed and become so far removed from the original intent of a BB Cream that really, the only thing we are seeing at this point is a BB that acts more as a tinted moisturizer more than anything else.
Needless to say they have originally started out as one product but ended up adjusting to suit many different needs. Formulas in Asia tend to cover a wide spectrum of skin concerns such as concealing, producing flawless skin, whitening, brightening, anti-aging, and more….
Versus a lighter, sheerer formula here in the US that promises very few of the things listed above.
Dr. Brandt Felxitone BB Cream attempts to replicate the traditional Asia BB Cream. I had some interesting results with it. Here are my thoughts!
