New year, New BB Creams to contend with. Dr. Jart Water Fuse Smart Gel BB ($36) is a new potted BB Cream available in two shade selections.
I’m positive the packaging isn’t going to win any awards for brilliance but the interesting formula might intrigue you!

Yes, the rumors are true. Lumene BB Cream is on the loose at CVS. Lumene Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream SPF 20 is available in two shade selections ranging from $16 to $14 at CVS. I know, odd price tag right? But I actually saw it at two different CVS stores for two different prices.
Oh the confusion of it all! But I do want to try it as Lumene has some excellent skincare products so if anyone was going to get the Asian BB Cream formula down right I’m hopeful it’ll be Lumene!

I purchased my first MAC Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm Compact in August I believe? MAC launched the BB Beauty Balm Compact a few months ago but not many folks realized it was hanging out on the website.
It comes to the forefront this Spring 2013 as part of the general catalog. I mentioned in a few posts already that you’ll see BB Creams getting a big push for Spring so I suspect that’s why MAC is kinda bringing this forward.
Also keep in mind, it was supposed to launch with the Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm but for some reason there were some delays thus the new “relaunch” of the product.
Take a look!

Ulta Renew Flawless Finish BB Cream SPF 30 is the newest BB Cream to grace the mainstream market. I mentioned in a prior post that Spring 2013 will bring about new and hopefully improved formulas of BB Cream. We saw some rise up in Fall 2013 with BB Cream but since January and Spring seems to be the season of skincare and makeup renewal it feels like BB Cream fits right in.
It’s interesting to see Ulta releasing their own BB Cream which makes me wonder if Sephora will also release one.

Iman Skintone Evener BB Creme SPF 15 ($20) is one of the latest drugstore BB Creams to hit the market for Spring 2013. As we get closer to the Holidays end and Spring starts down its nose at us we’ll probably start to see the next generation of BB Creams hitting mid-range counters and of course, drugstore shelves. Lumene has a new BB Cream launching soon as well as Urban Decay (two to look forward too!). CC Creams will also see some development come Spring with a larger focus for Summer 2013 I’m sure.
Iman’s $20 price tag isn’t drugstore beauty budget friendly but it might just be worth checking out if you’re a deeper skin tone!

Well done Stila! Introducing Stay All Day HD Beauty Balm with SPF 30 is a very smart move my friends. Stila Stay All Day 10-In-One HD Beauty Balm With Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is releasing for Spring 2013 with a revised, revisited formula that’s now available with SPF.
I actually love HD Beauty Balm even though it is on the sheerer side however, the biggest problem with the formula was the lack of SPF. Stila has smartly reformulated it.

Rimmel’s new BB Cream Beauty Balm has launched in the US and is now available in drugstores. I only saw displays with three shades but I believe there are a total of four that will launch.
Light, Light/Medium, Medium, and Medium/Dark but don’t quote me.

It’s available in six shades for £4 each however, during the sale I paid half that price. Seriously, £4 is a good deal without the added advantage of the sale. By the way, the sale is still ongoing, simply use promo code MUA40 for 40% Off your total.

I picked up Revlon Photoready BB Cream on Saturday and blogged it from my car. Revlon BB Cream? Yeah, I was excited.
I actually found it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond marked at a very reasonable $8.29. I was surprised as although BBB is part of Harmons, typically their prices are higher for some odd reason or another. $8.29 seems reasonable enough. I suspect once it hits the standard round of drugstores the price will range from $9.99-$11.99.
Having been very disappointed with Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream as well as other US BB Creams I haven’t pinned too many hopes on Revlon Photoready BB Cream.
What did I think?
Here’s a few thoughts!
