L’Oreal has already broken into the BB Cream market with L’Oreal Age Perfect BB Cream Instant Radiance, L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream, as well as L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream but this is their first CC Cream.

Sephora Skin Perfect CC Cream SPF 20 ($26) recently launched in six shades. So if you’re one of those folks that might not fit into the self adjusting CC Cream range Sephora’s version will give you a few options for color.
You’ll see a harder push for CC Creams in drugstores come the Fall but right now Summer rules supreme for mid range and higher end brands that are hitting CC Creams hard. Although at the moment the CC Creams I have tried here in the US are nice enough I’m still really liking what I see from Asia and have come across a good deal of great options from our Korean brand friends.
Sephora’s CC Cream option comes as a surprise as I didn’t really expect them to embrace the trend so quickly. They, like many brands, have skipped completely over the BB Cream craze and just headed right into releasing a CC Cream. I was ever so slightly shocked at the $26 price tag I must admit and that rather low SPF 20.
But I tested it out and here’s what I think!
BRTC has released a Jasmine Waterful CC Cream SPF 50 to my absolute delight. BRTC Jasmine Waterful CC Cream launched recently in Korea and being a very big fan of BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream I thought it was a promising addition to my CC Cream Collection. At the moment, I must say I am really loving Asian CC Creams as they offer just the lightweight coverage I seek with the benefit of correcting but not necessarily overpowering me with too much coverage the way a proper BB Cream does.
Let’s take a look!
I’ve been busy exploring CC Creams lately and Supergoop Daily Correct CC Cream is one I’ve been testing out recently. CC Creams are just starting to become fairly popular in Asia this Summer and interestingly enough right here in the US as well. Considering it took the US market well over four or five years to actually release a BB Cream I find it interesting that CC Creams caught on so quickly. But hey, can’t say the US market doesn’t take an idea and RUN with it.
So far I’ve had excellent experiences with many of the Korean CC Creams I’ve reviewed and tested. I did notice that many of the CC Creams released in the US seem to be ironically a step above the BB Creams we currently have. In Asia, that’s actually reversed with CC Creams offering less coverage and here in the US ironically CC Creams offering more.
Odd how things work out.
Supergoop isn’t quite known for their beauty products but more about their variety of sunscreen/skincare options so I thought it rather interesting that they launched a CC Cream for Summer. They don’t have a BB Cream so just skipped right to the CC Cream formula.
