Stila CC Color Correcting Cream is a new Fall 2013 launch for the brand and makes for one of the first CC Creams that hit the scene earlier this Summer. We’re seeing a good deal of CC Creams now but Stila cornered the market a little earlier on and almost right after Clinique CC Cream arrived Stila CC Color Correcting Cream was right on the heels of that release.
Unlike brands that are promoting CC Cream as a more advanced BB Cream formula Stila CC Color Correcting Cream takes a more traditional CC Cream route and relies on color correcting abilities but not necessarily coverage to get skin looking brilliantly flawless. I think at this point too many brands are focusing on creating a more pigmented CC Cream formulas when in fact a CC Cream is supposed to perfect but not necessarily offer coverage for your face.
In fact, Stila CC Color Correcting Cream does a perfect job doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Being a CC Cream nothing more, nothing less.
If anyone was going to do a full coverage CC Cream it would be Cover FX which is why the Cover FX CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment is an exciting launch for this CC Cream loving girl!
Available in a range of nine shades Cover FX CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment ($45) gets a Fall launch so keep your eyes peeled for it next trip to Sephora.
Cargo HD Picture Perfect CC Cream ($39) launches for the Fall season in three shade choices with an oil-free formula. Cargo doesn’t get nearly enough love around here so I def get excited when they pop up with something new and I really miss the fact they aren’t available at Sephora anymore.
I’m quite chuffed to hear they are going the CC Cream route this year like many other brands.
Take a peek!
Origins why you such a smart plants err smart pants with your new CC Cream? Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector is possibly the best named product of the season for me. Seriously, I smiled a little.
You know you did too.
Love that corny factor.
With CC Creams taking the Fall season by storm we’re bound to see more and more brands introducing their own formulations and one wonders how Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector will turn out?
Looks like Pop Beauty CC Cream could prove promising as it has a color adapting technology! You know how much I love my Tony Moly Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream so count me curious if the new Pop Beauty CC Cream can stand a chance at adapting to my skin tone correctly.
All of the latest CC Creams releasing in the US including Clinique, Lumene, and other brands come in a few shade selections. The general idea of the CC Cream was to start out white with tiny color adapting capsules which burst upon application and adjust to your skin tone. Granted, in most cases this never works but I’m seeing many Korean brands that do actually embrace the technology and successfully work as I’ve tried many of them!
Pop Beauty’s new CC Cream embraces this technology so count me curious if they are successful with it!
