Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix Review, Swatches, Photos

Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix 001

I said it before, I’ll say it again, the chick on the Baviphat Island Girls BB Primer Fix box so looks like Amanda from Ugly Better!

Right?

Ha…!

Baviphat (I wanna type Baby Phat) is a Benefit style cosmetic brand that’s available in Korea. Alot of the makeup offerings remind me of Benefit for some reason. I think part of the appeal is in fact their packaging as I love the Baviphat girls that are featured on many of the products.

Let’s take a look at their BB Primer Fix!

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Blusher Review, Swatches, Photos

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Blusher 001

Holika Holika is a Korean brand with a Harry Potter-ish kinda theme. The stores are decked out in shades of purple and black, employee uniforms have a witch-y vibe, and the brand takes lotions and potions to a new, magical level. I think the entire magic, witch, goth theme draws alot of attention and gives the brand its own little niche plus chalk up the traditional kawaii packaging that Korean and Asian brands in general embrace and you have yourself a happy helping of fabulous for makeup junkies.

I’ve reviewed a few Holika Holika products and today I hauled out the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Blusher that I picked up a several weeks ago. This blush will remind you of the packaging of the Aqua Petit Jelly I reviewed a few months ago.

Take a look!

Skin Food Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleep Mask Review

Skin Food Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleep Mask 006

I could’ve been Asian in another life as I am simply obsessed with whitening products of any kind. The Asian market is flooded with an array of various whitening, brightening products to keep skin milky and fair however the US market not so much. Although this year I am seeing an array of 50+ SPF products, skin tone correctors, etc…so perhaps we are finally catching on to the whitening trend that’s taken Asia by storm for many, many years.

In my quest for less duller skin I purchased Skin Food Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleep Mask. Why does the name make me feel like I’m in the basement making illegal liquor? This sleeping mask promises whiter, brighter skin.

Does it work?

Etude House Aloha Ice Sherbert Primer Review

Etude House Aloha Ice Sherbert Primer 002

Etude House Aloha Ice Sherbert Primer is part of Korean Brand, Etude House’s Summer Collection. It’s actually a traditional release for Etude House as they’ve done this type of primer before however with the Aloha Collection they went and downsized the size of the bottle which stinks as this is a very interesting primer that I enjoy using.

If you remember the Aqua Sherbet Collection (CLICK) you’ll remember this being a far bigger size at a far nicer price tag but I guess we can’t have it all and just should be thankful it’s back!

Baviphat Sugar Girl Candy Gloss Review, Swatches, Photos

Baviphat Sugar Girl Candy Gloss 009

Baviphat, or how I’m tempted to say it, “Baby Phat”, is a Korean brand that sells various makeup bits and bobs that has a certain Benefit Cosmetics feel and look.

An extension of their collection is called Sugar Girl. The products in this collection are geared towards a more youthful crowd….of course, me being the immature one, loves anything they do in the Sugar Girl Collection. I love cute makeup, sue me.

Baviphat Sugar Girl Candy Gloss might just remind you of a gloss I reviewed many a moon ago from Japanese brand Love Clover entitled PopChu Gloss. It may be a rehash packaging wise but the formula is quite different…

Etude House Aloha Water Veil Fixer Mist Review

Etude House Aloha Water Veil Fixer Mist 1

I love facial mists particularly in the Summer when I’m misting myself madly to rehydrate my skin and cool it off! I have any number of facial mists but I’m chronically purchasing new ones since I use them so often it’s good to keep a extra stash of ‘em laying hanging around.

Etude House’s Summer 2011 Collection has a new facial mist available which is a refreshing little pick me up that quite reminds me of ones from the Skin Food!

Let’s take a peek at it!

Etude House Aloha Two Two Kiss Review, Swatches, Photos

Etude House Aloha Two Two Kiss 1

You have to give Etude House props for its great Engrish naming of products. It’s new Aloha Two Two Kiss is so damn original, heavy sarcasm. But Lord knows, I absolutely love them for those cute names that just don’t quite translate correctly in English….!

As you know from a few of my prior posts Korean brand, Etude House took to Hawaii this year for its Summer Collection.

Here’s a look at the Etude House Aloha Two Two Kiss Tints.

Etude House Aloha Dear Darling Tint Review, Swatches, Photos

Etude House Aloha Dear Darling Tint 001

Aloha! from humid New York.

I really wish I was saying Aloha from the deck of a fancy hotel in Hawaii with a cool drink that has a umbrella tucked up in it but sadly, this one is coming from the patio of a cafe on a humid night in New York. The ocean, the beach, little umbrellas, and lei are far away from this smog induced city.

However……

Ta da…I have Etude House Aloha Dear Darling Tint in my makeup bag therefore I am magically transported to the Korean version of Hawaii! Actually Korean Hawaii is alot nicer than regular Hawaii as the Korean version includes hotties like Hyun Joong prancing around shirtless on the beach.

Wicked super right?

Technically this is the best I can do with Hyun Joong prancing on a beach, cut me a break ok?

Etude House Aloha Glitter Sherbet Eyes Review, Swatches, Photos

Etude House Aloha Glitter Sherbet Eyes 001

Etude House has released a limited edition collection for Summer entitled Aloha. This is actually a really special release as it includes a bronzing tint.

Listen, anything having to do with bronzing is unheard of in Asia…! This is some serious shiz peeps.

No but seriously bronzing collections are a rarity in Asia so I thought the Etude House Aloha Collection was quite a little novelty plus the really cute Hawaiian inspired packaging and interesting products were worthy of a beg and a plead to a friend in Korea to grab them for me.

Today I’ll be showing you the Etude House Aloha Glitter Sherbet Eyes which are available in three sparkling shades.

Check ‘em!

Dr Jart Dew Drop Blemish Base BB Cream Blue Label Review, Swatches, Photos

Dr Jart Dew Drop Blemish Base BB Cream Blue Label 4

Since Dr Jart released Water Fuse Beauty Balm on Sephora I’ve gotten several hundred e-mails asking me if it was anything like the Dr Jart Dew Drop BB Cream. I think someone had even commented on my review post of the Water Fuse and said it was the same product as the Dew Drop Blemish Base.

I think alot of you that may already own the Dew Drop version were curious whether you needed to haul the US version.

I’m here to say the two products are completely different right down to the SPF levels each contains, the color, and the formula.

The Skin Food Black Raspberry Saeng-gi Pack Review

The Skin Food Black Raspberry Saeng gi Pack 001

I think I’m coming to terms with the fact that I may be a mask junkie. Hoarding facial masks like they are going out of style or something, applying them nightly, convincing myself that I look whiter, brighter, more youthful…

Yeah, all the signs of a mask junkie.

I’ve been using The Skin Food Black Raspberry Saeng-gi Pack for ages since I get a little high off the scent. This is part of Skin Food’s Raspberry range and you might remember the eye cream I reviewed a while ago from the collection. This has a strange freshly turned dirt, herbal scent going on that I find terribly addicting. Some folks say it smells like Chinese medicine herbs but I don’t get that from it, I get freshly turned up dirt! Surprising since I’m fruity, sweet kinda girl and anything that’s remotely smells like stinky hippie is tossed into the bin…but this…I find soothing somehow.

What’s it do?

Does it work?

Etc…etc…!

Let’s see.

Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB SPF 30 PA++ Review, Swatches, Photos

Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB SPF 30 PA++ 11

Holika Holika is a newer brand that launched in Korea. The brand is starting to gain an online awareness now so you’ll see it pretty much popping up everywhere as it begins to go viral.

Part of its popularity could be due to the fact CN BLUE endorses the brand or the fact that it has a certain Harry Potter/Gothic witchy deal going on. Store employees are all dressed like witches and products all have a boil, boil, toil and trouble potion vibe going on.

I chose to believe everyone is flocking to the store because they really dig Jung Yong Hwa in manliner and they feel bad he didn’t get the guy errrr girl in You’re Beautiful. Let’s give Yong Hwa all our money because he was the odd man out in You’re Beautiful! Awwww! Poor Yong Hwa! Boy, you can put your dupetastic, Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara look-a-like mascara on my lashes any damn time you want!

See? Korean brands know what we women want! A cute Asian boy leaning in to apply our makeup that wears liner better than us! Yes Siree bring that on now!

The brand has a line of Petit BB Creams available in five formulas. I believe they dubbed them Petit due to the small tubes they come in. I really like the size because I find it hard getting through BB Creams since 1. I have over 30-40 of ‘em and 2. they are so pigmented a single tube can literally last you into the next millennium.
