If you’re unfamiliar with BB Creams I do suggest reading this post prior to reading my review of the new Stila Stay All Day 10 in 1 HD Beauty Balm. Hopefully it’ll enlighten you to what a BB Cream is.
With Summer here, we’ll be seeing more and more BB Creams popping up but these products aren’t new by any means as they have been popular in Korea for a very long time and just over the last year or two Japan and the rest of Asia.
BB Creams are a cool product in the fact they offer flawless, long wearing coverage with the added benefit of anti-aging, whitening, and SPF ingredients to keep skin looking its very best. There are SO many brands of BB Creams in Korea in a variety of formulas to try but lucky enough we are a bit more limited here in the US. I say lucky because sometimes it does get overwhelming and finding just the right BB Cream for your skin tone and issues comes down to trying many products before finally finding just the right one for your tone, skin type, and issues. Believe me, I’ve tried hundreds!
Not many Western brands have succeeded in capturing the idea, concept, and formula of an Asian BB Cream but the attempts and tries so far are interesting.
Stila Stay All Day HD Beauty Balm will essentially be a disappointment if you’ve tried Asian BB Creams before however it might just prove a win for those who haven’t been initiated into the world of Asian BB Creams.

BRTC is a Korean brand you may recognize. It’s not sold within the US but their BB Creams have a rather huge cult following around the Internet.
BRTC also excels at creating some very good skincare. Some of the products in the line are HG (holy grail) material for me.
I indulged in their sheet mask collection quite a while ago when they originally introduced the Vitalizer line. I was quite excited about these masks and they promised quite a good deal of great ingredients.

The Les Merveilleuses de Laduree Collection launched in Tokyo recently. This is a selection of incredibly lavish makeup inspired and brought to you by Laduree, yes, as in the creator of delicate Parisian macrons.
Pastries aren’t exactly in the realms of makeup but Laduree puts as much care, beauty, and sweetness in their new color collection as they would any of their decadent desserts.

HadaLabo is an extremely popular skincare collection in Japan. The products are well known for containing hyaluronic acid which is an excellent ingredient for hydrating skin as well as allowing your skin to retain more moisture.
I’m not sure how effective it is having such an ingredient in your cleanser but the HadaLabo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Makeup Remover is one of my favorite makeup removers.
Yeah, I admit, I’m a little bit of a facial sheet h0r. I hoard them like it’s my career and I use at least three or four masks a week to keep my skin smooth and hydrated. I find I drop off a bit in the Summer but in the Winter my skin needs some serious TLC and facial masks are really a treat to get things in order.
If you’ve never tried an Asian Facial Sheet Mask before they are super simple to use. Masks come individually packaged and are saturated with essence. You place the mask on your face (they are typically made from durable cotton fiber) and you sit around for 10-20 minutes allowing the essence to absorb into your skin.
The joy of Asian Sheet Masks is the ease of use and the variety of formulas available for brighter skin, whitening skin, anti-aging benefits, etc…
Love More is a series of masks that’s supposed to contain 25ml of essence per sheet thus the name “Love More”.
