Beauty Abroad

IsaDora has been a little uneventful with collections this year and I haven’t purchased from the line in a long time. Sadly the new IsaDora Glitzy Collection for Holiday 2010 fails to excite me as well so I can either sob over how unfair it all is or just give thanks I’m not having to dish out for another wonderful Holiday Collection.
Let’s take a look, you tell me what you think!

For the first time, it what seems to be too many years to count, I am bringing you Japanese Cosmetic Collections for Holiday 2010.
I’ve been very remiss in covering Beauty Abroad particularly Japan lately for a few reasons one of which was alot of rehash of colors, products, and generally items I wasn’t interested in particularly Holiday Coffrets which normally excite me.
Last year, I covered one or two items from Japan but nothing major since I failed to find the joy in some of the releases plus a few readers had expressed a dislike for the reviews because they felt it was difficult to locate the products in the review.
This year, I felt like we could use a little different. So for the first time in a while I will be covering Japan Winter and Holiday 2010. This will include reviews from Kanebo including Kate and Lavshuca plus Shiseido’s Majolica Majorca Holiday 2010 Collection and many other interesting bits and bobs.
I hope you’re excited about these reviews as I am.
Until they arrive please feel free to dive into the archives and start brushing up on Japanese Makeup if you haven’t already, there is ALOT of catching up to do if you haven’t had a chance to see these posts.
Enjoy!
Feel free to tell me what Japanese and/or Asian Collections that are tickling you this Holiday.

Nichola Roberts launched her Dainty Doll Collection with Jelly Pong Pong about…mmm two years ago? It sold out pretty quickly. I reviewed a few items from it at the time but wasn’t particularly impressed.
However, those with extremely fair skin this is for you. Nichola created this collection with fair skin chicas in mind like herself as she grew tired of being on an endless quest to find the best and most suitable shades for her very fair skin.
After getting fed up with the selection available she quit looking and created the Dainty Doll Collection.

I recently read a review on the new Lush Gorilla Fragrances that basically said they had a stinky hippie vibe going on. I nearly burst out sobbing.
Noooo! Simply not true! I think you have to be a Lush lover to really understand the Gorilla Fragrance Collection. Granted, some of the blends definitely lean towards earthy and in some cases stinky hippie for sure but NOT all of them. I thought some were downright unique and interesting, all the things Lush is, what Lush stands for.
So no I disagree, these are definitely not all about the stinky hippie vibe. I slay anyone who disagrees!

Lush’s most popular shampoo bar? I’d have to say Godiva. Everyone adores it, including my sister who stock piles it all crazy-like. I like Godiva but it isn’t a favorite of mine.
However, fans of the shampoo bar will be overjoyed that one of the newly launched Gorilla Perfume Fragrances is actually Godiva but renamed.
Let’s have a look!

I just wanted to let you know that the Gorilla Perfume Sampler is now available in the US. This sampler was originally launched in the UK to introduce the new Lush Gorilla Perfume Collection. Lush US is now doing the same. As an introduction to the scents that will be released from Gorilla this is a sampler of seven perfumes. It’s a great way to try before you buy full sizes of the scents.
The sampler includes:

- Orange Blossom
- Lust
- Tuca Tuca
- Karma
- Vanillary
- The Smell of Freedom
The vials are 2ML each and the total of seven is $12.

Soap and Glory still hasn’t announced a new retailer for its products with the US. Recently, they launched the line in Singaporean Sephoras which led me to believe we might see them do the same in the US.
However….
No official word yet and mere speculation on my part.
But the good news is ASOS has launched a US site.
