The British Beauty Blogger found these on Spoiled Brat. Gosh it brings back such memories. I remember when Pupa did all sorts of cutesy styles like these. Remember the Pupa Le’Diable Devil Kit? Spoiled Brat has that too! What a hoot! I didn’t even think Pupa made these things anymore for the European market outside of Italy!

These kawaii Pupa Ocean Glitter palettes look like they have four shadows inside, two blushes, and two glosses (or lip creams). Incredibly cute and brings back so many memories when Sephora used to carry Pupa!

The Muse has a certain dislike for Lush when they discontinue her very favorite products! Grrrr why Lush why!? Why must you cease to produce my favorite bath goodies? Why must it all come to end? Why? Why!

Thankfully Lush came up with a somewhat agreeable solution to the Muse’s mourning by introducing the Retro Lush line. This is where Lush “brings back” many old favorites that die hard fans, like the Muse, have been a missing! Thank the gods that they brought back Back for Breakfast Shower Gel because honestly the Muse couldn’t be held responsible if she ran out again!

The Muse remembers it well. She remembers exactly the time that Lush Back for Breakfast bit the big one. It was after Thanksgiving and the Muse had just discovered the joys of Lush one day when it popped up in her Amazon recommendations list, this was many years ago mind you. The Muse never got to experience the joys of Back for Breakfast herself but only second hand as it had been diced from the line up less than a month before the Muse’s discovery of the Lush religion.

However, less than a week later the Muse had scored a large bottle of Back for Breakfast from a Lush forum member in the UK who kindly swapped the bottle. Ever after that the Muse was possessed, obsessed, and mad enough to stalk Back for Breakfast down! By the end of that year (which wasn’t far off) she had gathered together at least 10 bottles of Back for Breakfast to tide her over with the hopes that this would last her for the next 10 years. Sadly, it didn’t!

On the verge of throwing herself off the nearest building the Muse pacified her love for Back of Breakfast and settled on Lush Happy Hippie, not nearly as good but the best one could do.

Why all this insanity for a simple shower gel?

Because it’s just so lovely!

With fresh grapefruit, lemon, and lime juices this shower gel was both tart, fruity, and sweet. It made the Muse’s hair sing in delight and made her shower experience a wonderful morning wake up call! Lush promises with use it’ll wake you up in the AM like no other shower gel and truth be told it does indeed wake up a girl and get her revved for the day ahead. That citrus cocktail of grapefruit, lemons, and limes really makes the Muse sing in the shower. It keeps her hair rather squeaky clean and makes it smell all fruity and fresh like too! Multitask, Multitask! Hair and body loves it!

I can’t begin to tell you how happy I was that Lush finally brought it back and now one can only hope it sticks around for a while otherwise the Muse may need to buy enough to last her for 50 years!

Lush Back for Breakfast Shower Gel, unquestionably Muse Approved for purchase! Get it! You need it, the Muse says so!

Beauty Blast from the Past: Pout Beauty Rouge

by the Muse on March 30, 2009

Pout+Beauty+Rouge+22 Beauty Blast from the Past: Pout Beauty Rouge

My inner Brit misses Pout Beauty so very much! Sigh. Especially the Pout Rouge! Those were such a seriously great product!

Why, oh, why did the entire line get flushed? I miss it so!

Available in some great popping shades Pout Beauty Rouge was truly a fab product. Pigmented, silky smooth with a satin finish it gave cheeks a healthy pop of color. It’s one of my favorite blushes and I can’t help but think what a terrible shame it was when Pout went under! The entire line was so fresh and girlish. The rouges came in large compacts with a full mirror and plenty of product for the price.

Beauty Blast from the Past: Dior Girly Blossom Palette

by the Muse on March 5, 2009

Picture+007 Beauty Blast from the Past: Dior Girly Blossom Palette

Wanna take a trip with me into Dior’s past? Let’s go visit with the Dior Girly Blossom Palette release a few Summer’s ago when Dior was still sporting uber sweet packaging and plenty of shimmering, fun shades.

Dior+Girly+Blossom+Palette+1 Beauty Blast from the Past: Dior Girly Blossom Palette

Hopefully you all remember when Dior makeup wasn’t mature, sophisticated, and elegant. Granted it’s always been those things but it also used to be fun, girlish, kawaii, and sweet. I have a huge stash of old Dior palettes that I’ve collected over the year’s one of which reminds me how fun Dior used to be is the Dior Girly Blossom Palette.

Remember this palette?

It contained a gorgeous shimmering peach blush and two fun shades of gloss all housed in a blossom palette with a garter makeup brush holder and two pink retractable brushes for face and cheeks.

Ahhh those were the days.

I haven’t seen anything fun from Dior in a very long time. A majority of their current collections are very mature and sosphiscated actually so much so that they fail to capture my interest as quickly as they once did.

I miss the old days.

Blast me to Dior’s beauty past any day of the week! I’d love to relive some of those great palette days!

What do you think?

Remain with the Muse in Dior’s past?

Embrace Dior’s present and future?

Beauty Blast from the Past: Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood Cheek Stain

by the Muse on January 22, 2009

One item the Muse truly misses is Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood Cheek and Lip Stain.

Majolica+Majorca+Flesh+%26+Blood+Cheek+Stain+ Beauty Blast from the Past: Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood Cheek Stain

Take a blast to the past with the Muse to hear why she misses Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood Cheek and Lip Stain!

Sigh…dontcha just hate when your fav products get up, walk away, and never return? So be the case with the limited edition run of Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood.

These fabulous little tubes of color were available in four shades, were cheap as day old chips, and nicely pigmented! Many stains are too red or too pink but Flesh & Blood managed to captured a true blush of color and added a beautiful finish to lips and cheeks. The gel formula was easy to blend and melted into the skin leaving behind moist, dewy color that was both natural and flattering.

I sure do miss these and wish that Majolica Majorca would bring them back or at least do a similar release! For now I’m forced to blast into my past with the two remaining tubes I do have stashed away and I’ll mourn the day they are gone!

Have you every tried Majolica Majorca Flesh & Blood?

Have a few stashed away for a rainy day?
