Beauty on a Budget
L’Oreal Silver Sky Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.89 at Harmons drugstore) is one of six brand new L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows launching for Spring 2014 in drugstores now.
I’m a little confused whether or not these are limited edition or if they’ll become permanent. But if you recall last year we saw similar displays around this time of the year and the shades in that display became part of the permanent collection and since they didn’t technically name this collection I have a feeling that will be the case with these colors.
Let’s take a look at Silver Sky.
Yves Rocher Cocoa & Orange Hand Cream ($3.50) is one of three limited edition hand creams that Yves Rocher launched for Holiday 2013 with their traditional Cacaco Collection.
And yes, it does smell like a chocolate orange
Chocolate Oranges, as far as I’m concerned, were made in hell. Crowley possibly had something to do with their creation but this hand cream, this is addicting!
L’Oreal Pop Shades Colour Riche Balm ($9.79 at Duane Reade) are a newly formulated L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in four new, limited edition shades for Winter 2013. The original line of L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm runs sheerer but these new Pop Shades are supposed to be more pigmented. I was excited about this as I really liked the original formula. Yes, it is sheer but it is a nice balm overall and many of the shades have an MLBB (my lips but better) finish.
But honestly, the excitement stems from the fact they decided to add a bit more pigment here as the actual texture of the balms is wonderful so with a touch more color it tips them in the awesome sauce zone.
Take a look!
Chapstick Hydration Lock ($2.99) is a new an improved Chapstick formula created with CoQ10 and hyaluronic filing spheres to hydrate lips, retain moisture, and give them a fuller appearance.
Wha?! All that for under three bucks?
How’d it work?
NYX Cosmetics is now sold at Target and come Spring you’ll find at your local CVS too! That’s right NYX Cosmetics will be sold at CVS (as shared on the CVS Facebook page)!!!! I typically ship Harmons for most of my drugstore beauty and they have had NYX for several years now but I do find it very interesting that NYX is heading more mainstream. It’s typically been an “online” brand in many cases because so few stores sold it so it is great they are coming full circle now. I hope their new homes will begin carrying some of the palettes as well and newer products.
Thanks to reader Jennifer for the info!
P.S. I admit it, I’m loving these little nibbles that the Huff has been posting about 50 Shades but I’m still not convinced Dakoka Johnson is a good Ana….!
