Beauty on a Budget
Bleached Neons? Such an oxymoron right? That’s exactly what Maybelline Bleached Neons Color Show Nail Polish a total oxymoron! Bright yet not as vibrant as a neon but subtle and washed out with color that appears charmingly faded out!
I think neons scream the 80’s to me and although the 80’s trend has a way of popping up every Summer I feel like Maybelline did so much of a better job with the paleness of the Bleached Neons Collection. These are more wearable shades! Vibrant yet subtle, bright yet washed up for a look that’s unique and not all about neon!
Hard Candy Single & Loving It Eyeshadow ($3 at Walmart) gets a revamp for Spring 2014 with a new mosaic, tie dye print. Available in five shades these new single eyeshadows have a super soft buttery texture that will make you question if you really only paid $3 for it!
Maybelline Luxe in Lilac Color Elixir happens to be the second purple shade that the brand released with the new Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection.
If you like purples you best be getting your hands on these two limited edition Color Elixir Summer 2014 shades. I’m not really a purple girl…I love the color but on my lips I’m not convinced it’s a me shade.
I do think it looks STUNNING on darker skin tones.

Yes, the new Maybelline Shimmering Sea Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is in fact Maybelline Seashore Frosts Color Tattoo Eyeshadow under a new name.
Maybelline launched two brand new Summer 2014 Color Tattoo Eyeshadows that are available for a limited time but what they failed to tell you is these shades are simply repromoted colors under a new name. Seashore Frosts was released for Summer 2013 and was also a limited edition shade! It gets brought back to us in the form of the newly named Shimmering Sea Color Tattoo Eyeshadow that’s available with the Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection.
I feel a little misled and slightly deceived they thought it was ok to repromote a shade under a new name. Why bother? It’s ok to bring back shades from collections past. It’s not ok to rename them though and confuse people that may already own the color under another name. Ugh!
Milani Delizioso Pink Baked Powder Blush ($7.99) is one of two new Matte Baked Blushes that Milani released for Spring 2014. You might be privy to the original Baked Powder Blush formula which was all ABOUT sparkle but these two new shades are smooth, matte, and shimmer-free.
