Beauty on a Budget
You might remember I recommended Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner a month or so ago. Thayers Witch Hazel Pads are another fav of mine that I’d love to introduce you too!
I wish Thayers would consider putting some of their other blends into pad form as they travel easily if you’re heading on an extended holiday or vacation plus I find the pads terribly convenient compared to the larger bottles.
Sadly, they do have one quirk!
The new Sally Hansen Invisible Lip Liner ($6.99) is a nice cheap thrill to pick up your next trip to the drugstore. I know when I wear red lipstick it likes to take a little road trip around my face.
I’m being serious.
I put it on in the AM and it proceeds to feather up in my lower lip and somehow move to my cheek. Once I even found some on my forehead. Word.
Invisible Lipliner is key to keep that shiz on lock down!
The new Hard Candy CC Correction Creme will be available at Walmart shortly. CC Cream is coming at us slowly for Spring but we’ll see a bigger push come Summer and Fall 2013 I’m sure.
I think of CC Cream as a low calorie version of the BB Cream. Most of the ones I tried have a thinner texture but promise better skin benefits and anti-aging ingredients.
I personally prefer the rich, creamy texture of a BB Cream compared to the lighter, thinner one of a CC. I was highly interested in testing out Hard Candy CC Correction Creme as it is one of the first (Olay’s renamed CC Cream not counting) CC Creams we’re seeing in the budget world at the moment. And really one of the first CC Creams anywhere aside from Juice Beauty’s new Stem Cell CC.
It’s interesting that Hard Candy is the pioneer in this market. You’d think some higher end brand would have cracked the market first.
Here’s a look.
My favorite budget brand, Milani, released a new Eyeshadow Primer for Spring 2013 that I can’t wait to try out. About time guys! I was waiting for you to jump on board the eyeshadow primer world plus hey, the drugstore world is sorta sadly lacking in decent eyeshadow primers.
Take a look!
Hey! Guess what? Wet n Wild Take on the Day Eyeshadow Primer isn’t half bad! Introduced with the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection this five dollar eyeshadow primer is a bit higher costing than Wet n Wild’s typical offerings but proves a worthy contender in the beauty budget world.
I was personally disappointed by most of the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection. It was expensive for the brand and the quality just wasn’t there which is unusual as Wet n Wild does have some rather great offerings. After trying the lipstick and the eyeshadow quad I was a little skeptical about the shadow primer but I’m delighted with it.
