Ok kids if you were wanting it I’m here to tell you it’s back!
The Pink Clarisonic is available at Sephora once again!
How long it’ll be around remains to be seen! I believe they felt it was a good idea to have a few around for Mother’s Day!
I admit I’m lemming it a bit and trying not to cave because I sincerely do not need a $200 cleaning brush!
Tell me how wrong it is to purchase this thing!
Go on convince me!
Have to have it?
Tell me all about it! I feel your lems!
Last week I was discussing Fasio with a reader and wanted to do a really brief entry about it. The reason I’m bringing this up is because I wanted to show the Fasio Shower Glitter Eye Palettes off a bit.
I don’t personally own them and from what I understand they aren’t so fabulous but they do appear quite interesting and I think I may pick up one or two just for the sake of trying them out for myself.
Fasio is a sub-brand of Kose and probably my least favorite brand that Kose puts out. I’m not entirely a fan of the mascara even though it has a cult base of followers that really adore it. I personally find the mascara has way too many fibers and I’m not a lover of fiber mascaras!
Anyway this post can veer to the entire line and I want to simply show off the Glitter Shower Eyes that are available from Kose.
And here we go:
Available Color Selections:
As you can see the palette is a typical affair of liner, base, and two contrasting shades of eyeshadow. I’m dead curious about these!
Anyone try ‘em?
I imagine this isn’t very news worthy but I thought I’d shout out and tell you that the 32oz mega size of Purity is back in stock at QVC.
About a month ago I finished off my mega size that I had purchased last year and I wandered over to QVC for a re-order and was saddened and shocked to see it was unavailable.
Now this mega size is about $40 USD or so after shipping.
I hopped into Sephora and had to pay $32 USD for 16oz…..sheesh………..I could get twice the amount for almost the same price!
32oz vs 16oz
Anyway! For the Purity lovers grab it while the grabbing is good! Item Number A34737.
On to more Philosophy news…..
Have you seen these?
From Philosophy’s website:
you need this product if…
your skin is dehydrated and thirsty for replenishment
your skin is dull, devitalized, and in need of extreme hydration
your skin has lost its firmness and elasticity
you want to minimize the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
your skin is stressed due to climate changes, stress, hormones or illness
Sounds like I need these as my skin is always thirsty for more moisture! It sounds like a great fix for Winter skin blues!
What do you think?
I’ve never tried any capsule treatments from Philosophy (they have booster shots available as well in cap form) so I am vaguely curious!
My post on Korean brands was very popular and it inspired me to do more posts about brands that can be found abroad!
I thought I’d branch out and do a few posts like this and will be bringing you a few brands from all around the world that might interest you!
Here at Musings I have quite a range of readers from all over the world so why not do a bit of a spotlight on different brands found in different countries!
I find these posts particularly enjoyable and I think that you as a reader might as well! Being overly exposed to many brands here in the US I get tired of seeing the same things over and over again and being the cosmetic junkie I am I love the thrill of a new brand that’s unattainable here in the US.
Today I thought I’d focus on Indonesian Cosmetic Brands. Indonesia has the standard line of cosmetics that you can pretty much find here in the US but they also have a few interesting brands that I’ve been privy too and find interesting one of which is PAC Beauty.
PAC Beauty is a lovely brand that has a wide selection of interesting colors and products to choose from!
The Spring release entitled Glitz and Gold looks particularly interesting!
The selection available is vast but it holds little appeal to me due to it’s rather boring packaging although the eyeshadow stackables are interesting enough and similar in style to MAC pigments only smaller in size!
Stackable Loose Eyeshadows
Some color selections available in the loose shadow catalog!
Makeup Artist Kit
Out of the entire line what I enjoyed most is the adverts and interesting face charts they have created using the color combos available in there catalog! I actually find the advertisement for the collection much more attractive and appealing then I do the actually cosmetics. Again this could be do to packaging but it looks a tad on the cheap side however if I can create some of the looks below I’d say it’s well worth my hard earned cash!
A particular favorite advert of mine! I love the contrast of the black and white photo and beautiful green shadow on her eyes!
The goddess series adverts are amazingly well done as well! There are four total rotating and each is more dramatic then the last!
I’ve never tried anything in the line aside from two loose eyeshadows which were both highly pigmented aside from that I’ve never been curious enough to dive into anything else they offer! Although the advertising is beautiful, packaging always sells the cosmetic to me and this sadly fails in that department!
Sariayu is another brand available within Indonesia. Sadly, the brand is also equally as boring packaging wise as Pac Beauty although they do incorporate some fun colors into the packaging!
Sariayu carries a range of cosmetics as well as haircare, skin and body care, and herbal supplements which translates as it’s your one stop shop for beautifying your entire self inside and out!
Although the line has a wide range of colors available the product list is small and only includes some lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadow, and blush for the point makeup. This basically consists of very simple eyeshadow palettes and nothing too elaborate.
Even though the packaging fails to wow me it deserves to be mentioned that the shades are very flattering and in complimenting with the modern Indonesian girl’s coloring and skintone in mind! For example see below adverts from the past and how gorgeous the cosmetics look on the models skintone and type!
These particular adverts are about 10 years old but notice the beautiful juicy red lips and lovely greens and golds that compliment the look of the model perfectly! I truly love these looks and wish I could pull off a similar style!
All and all I don’t particularly like the style of packaging and feel it needs a bit of a revamp however the line is interesting if nothing else!
Finally last on my hit list for Indonesia is Caring Colours. Caring Colours is really a tiny line as far as I know (do correct me if I’m wrong). They carry the typical point and base makeup products but the colors combinations are nothing wow aspiring and the catalog is very basic with little frills!
I do love the eyeshadow trios available though as they come in some wonderful color combos that compliment each shade in the palette perfectly!
Caring Colours Eyeshadow Trio
Indonesia has the promise of some interesting brand but fails the Muse with it’s poor packaging options!
However, the uniqueness and different products carried throughout each line definately holds some appeal!
Indonesia carries standard drugstore brands as well such as L’oreal, Revlon, Etc..however the true promise lays in what is exclusively available to it’s country alone and these are some brands you might find in your local Indonesian drugstore!
Anyone from Indonesia?
Interested in these brands?

I’m procrastinating at work.
Shhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone! That’s the best part about being self-employed you actually can’t get yourself in trouble for procrastinating but of course later on today I’ll give myself a good talking down to make myself officially responsible.
I honestly deserve a little procrastination today as I had a super asthma attack yesterday evening so a bit of chillaxing at work is just what the doctor ordered!
Mostly this consists of me sending e-mails back and fourth with our favorite Cookie from The Daily Cookie (I’m dragging her into the procrastination vortex with me!), browsing around for new ideas for blog entries (comment box is open to your suggestions!), and trying to somehow someway get caught up with e-mail in my inbox (maybe I can somehow get through 10 years of e-mail in under 10 minutes!)!
While I’m doing all this I also happened to surf my way over to QVC to check up on Mally Beauty. One of my readers, friends, and fellow New Yorkers, Adina, had mentioned that Mally had some updates over yonder so of course I had to investigate it for myself!
I didn’t see anything too interesting but I did run across something new or at least I think it’s new called Liquid Eye Brightener!
This stuff sounds awesome!
It’s basically a powder but when you drop it into your hand and rub it turns into a liquid. Once liquidated (is that even a word?) you pat it gently under your eyes for a little concealing magic to make your eyes look refreshed, awake, and beautiful!
I’m very curious about this and I’m wondering if it’s good for touch ups! I normally tote around a Dior Radiance Pen for touch ups but I find it too messy honestly…hmmmm I want this! I might wait though to see the reviews first!
I really like the format of the bottle as well with the small dropper style squeeze top! This is $22.80 USD and is available now from QVC, A81636.
What do you think? Nay or Yay?
Ok now it’s back to work with me…seriously…..honest….maybe….sorta…….kinda……
