Information on the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year has been released! The 2015 Pantone Color of the Year shade is entitled Marsala. It’s a red-brown wine which will make for a lovely palette come Fall 2015 as it’s warm, very inviting, and will make a delicious lipstick shade for warm loving red girls and guys.
At this point most are thinking of how wonderful the shade will look against the back drop of Fall fashions in a range of metallic earthy tones. Personally, I’m thinking of lipstick in this color even a warm reddish brown blush or eyeshadow so my focus is on what sort of makeup trends we’ll see with the introduction of this shade. Although the color of the year it seems like a beautiful Fall shade so I look forward to see what Fall 2015 brings in this shade and who knows it might just dominate Summer 2015 Makeup Collections as well.
I’m also very curious if Sephora will launch a new Pantone Color of the Collection celebrating Marsala! One can hope so as it truly is a gorgeous color.
What do you think of the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year?
Or just not to your liking?
Tyra Banks has her own makeup line that launched earlier this Fall. She’s quoted in InStyle saying, “I don’t believe in outrageously-expensive beauty products,” and credits a $2 jar of Vaseline as her beauty binge.
Girl, hold up.
The thing about Tyra is she’s always been fairly down to earth. And far be it for me to preach anything about pricing as I’m typically not one for ranting a price so long as the product, makeup, skincare, tech, WHATEVER…has quality backing it. But I was shocked that Instyle also stated, “We love how everything is under $100 and how the 5 Piece TYover Kit was $75.
L’Oreal is just snapping up brands left and right lately! In more recent beauty news, L’Oreal has purchased Carol’s Daughter! Unknown to me Carol’s Daughter actually filed bankruptcy back in May but Lisa M. Price, owner and creator of Carol’s Daughter, had sent a personal letter to Uptown magazine denying the brand was in any trouble, “Carol’s Daughter is still going strong after twenty-one years and the future has never looked brighter,” she wrote.
Urban Decay is now available at Nordstrom.com.
Let’s here it for Nordie’s awesome free shipping policy! Wahooo!
And yes Urban Decay Vice 3 is in stock!
With much excitement I’m happy to report that Etude House now ship to the US! You can shop at Etude House’s new online shopping site by visiting etudehouse.com!
This is a major step for Korean cosmetics! I’m seeing K-Beauty entering the US market more and more lately with store openings (Tony Moly has a store in Herald Square) and official online sites selling their products in the US.
The best part about the new Etude House Shopping Site is they have a reward system as well as coupon codes. I’m not sure as of yet what the sort of rewards they’ll offer but I like that I’ll get points for each purchase. They also have a place for coupon codes so let’s hope for some great coupons to even out the cost of shipping which ranges around $15 and upwards (ouch! But if you do orders with friends you can always split the cost).
At the moment the site has basic products and I’m not seeing any limited edition collections or items but I hope given time they’ll have more items available!
Needless to say this is really exciting news none the less!
They have a spot on their website to subscribe to their newsletter and to create an account because apparently they’ll be sending out coupon codes closer to the end of the month. You can sign up by clicking here!
