If you stalk me on Instagram you might have seen some goodies I hauled from FeerieDoll’s Koroa Geekery Shop on Etsy. I’ve been watching Doctor Who since I was a child as you know and I love how its evolved into such geeky pop culture. Any chance I get I’m collecting some oddball Whovian item or another be it action figures, busts, t-shirts, or accessories.
I discovered FeerieDoll on Redbubble a while ago but I was delighted to run across her Etsy Shop about a month or so ago. I love her cute little kawaii imitations of the good Doctor, Supernatural, Sherlock, and more….! I own a few of her items from Redbubble but after discovering her Etsy shop I was delighted she had an assortment of cute bags, wallets, and more! Products you def cannot get from Redbubble.
I swear sometimes I feel like I could have purchased a brand new phone for the amount of $$$ I’ve spent on cases. Why oh why am I so obsessed with how my phone looks?!
I can afford ten more bucks right? For this adorable Dior Eyeshadow Makeup Palette iPhone 5 Case….!
Cute right?
This establishes me as a true makeup junkie right?
P.S. Can I tell you how incredibly behind I am on Game of Thrones? Four episodes are warming up my Tivo at the moment. Must get to them! Got in super late last night and had plans to catch up a little but Batman circa 1966 caught our attention and well, we got memorized by it. Seriously, I KNOW all the lines. As far as I’m concerned it is the best out of all the Batman movies. I happened to have a huge crush on Burt Ward when I was like seven years old and old episodes played on channel 11 or channel 9, something like that. He was such a pretty boy!
Ahhh that was a great introduction to my current post if I do say so myself!
If you’re on my Holiday list you likely got yourself a zombie Christmas card from ThinkGeek this year. I don’t recommend purchasing these as they are expensive and come in packs of four only.
Which is why in honor of Christmas and the Holiday season I do so recommend my very favorite Etsy seller for your Christmas card needs (or any seasonal card need), tinaseamonster.
Tina does some incredibly epic homemade cards that normally have something to do with zombies and the zombie plague. Her shop is one of my first discoveries on Etsy many a year ago and remains a fond favorite to this day. She does a range of various t-shirts, stickers, and totes (I absolutely love her “Panic Buying for the Apocalypse” tote which I have two of) but I always go back year after year after year for her fabulous cards for various Holidays particularly Christmas ones!
These are some of her Holiday cards. She sells them in variety packs for as little as $12 for a box of 10 with envelopes.
If you’re a bit of a geek or just a fan of zombies she’s an essential Etsy shop you won’t want to miss!
It’s hunting season girls and boys and I need your help!
Each year, I feature a very fine selection of my very favorite Etsy Shops to haul goodies from during the Holiday Season and in most cases many of those shops make a reappearance each year because they are just that damn good.
But I want to branch out this year and share my own great discoveries on Etsy as well as yours. So if you know a great Etsy Shop that you believe is deserving of a spot on my Gift Giving Guide this year I’d love you to e-mail it to me!
Just click here and fill out my e-mail form to submit it!
I’m looking for unique beauty gifts, makeup, bath and body goodies, tarts, candles, or even fun accessories….whatever! So long as it’s unique and I think everyone will like it, I’ll include it in a post! If you’d like to submit your own shop that’s perfectly fine too.
One thing, I’m a little busy so if I don’t reply back please accept my sincere thanks for sending over your favorite shop. Not all submissions will appear in a post as I have to go through them and see which I think reader’s would enjoy most.
I’ve tried tarts from MANY e-tailers and not everyone gets them right in my opinion. Some are simply too weak but the Bathing Garden gets them down perfectly.
I want the near two hours of my life back after following Apple’s Iphone Keynote. Ugh now I have to debate with myself deciding whether I really want a 4S or if I want to wait for them to spring 5 on us.
This is not cool Apple, not cool at all.
How about you fine folk? Iphone 4S? or waiting on Iphone 5?
Well now that I wasted two hours I best get back to beauty…actually not really beauty but tarts! The weather is starting to cool off here which means I’m busy hauling out my tarts. I notice that I never burn tarts in the Summer but I’m all about them in the Fall and Winter, how about you?
My favorite part about tart Season is finding new and exciting online shops to purchase them from. I recently discovered My Bathing Garden on Etsy and Imma like her tarts.
Chibi, manga reader’s like myself are probably very familiar with the word.
Chibi is basically a Japanese word meaning “short” or “small child”. The meaning is not meant to be taken literal in a context of say someone being short but more of a “cute” person. Chibi style characters pop all over anime and manga and many commercials in Japan, it’s as cultural as the use of kawaii forms of advertisement.
People tend to enjoy creating fan art that depicts their favorite manga stars in Chibi form like L from Death Note or even famous movie characters like Harry Potter. This in fact is the lead in for my Etsy Discovery.
I recently came across an amazing seller creating Chibi necklace charms of the 10th and the 11th and I immediately had to purchase both for myself (and 10 for a friend).
It’s an ickle early to worry about Halloween but I’ve already been gathering up bits and bobs to decorate my office and house. If you’re a big fan of Halloween you might want to start checking out Ella Dean’s Etsy Shop, Beautiful Twists, as she’s starting to bring out some of her popular Halloween scents.
I’m recommending her now because her little shop gets mighty busy so placing an order early might not be such a bad idea, less wait time when the holiday does hit.
She has 42 items in her Halloween category at the moment but knowing Ella Dean’s creativity level they’ll probably be more by September.
At the moment I’m loving…
Dracula’s Scary Fruity Cereal Room Spray $7.99 Dracula (nickname ‘Vegan Vampire’)…he’s so with the times, he’s become a vegan, taken up yoga, wears blue contacts (that’s so Paris Hilton of him) & even gets his teeth whitened (sounds like he’s really into his looks, huh?) Dracula also loves fruity cereal & eating salads at midnight.
Magical Mouse Kisses Spell Whitney the Witch’s Vegan Witch Body Mist $7.99 Whitney the Witch is a marvelous cook & fashion designer. She has two lines called ‘Broomstick Designs’ & ‘Woven Spider Web Designs (no spiders were harmed in the process, she loves them).’ She got the fashion designer itch, when she decided there has to be a better place to put your wooden spoon when you’re not using it. So Whitney designed a whole line of witch’s hats with pockets in them (she’s wearing one of her own designs). She started to design broomsticks when she figured broomsticks could be a lot more fun, unique & represent each witch’s own personality. If you do ever eat over at Whitney’s house be careful of the soup, she has been known to put spells in them!!
If you’re curious about Ella Dean and her weird and wacky Etsy shop you can click here and here for a few reviews I’ve done in the past or check the Etsy Musings archive!
Happy early Halloween, it’s never to early to start celebrating as far as I’m concerned!
An off topic P.S.
I decorate my house for every holiday but Halloween is probably the biggest…just a note Terry’s Village and $14.99 Collections have their Halloween treasures up. It’s a great place to start hauling very inexpensive indoor and outdoor decor! I’m not affiliated with these shops, just a recommendation for hauling your ghostly goodies on the cheap! Feel free to share your haunts for great decorations!
I simply love a tasty little macaron, they are terribly sinful and delicious however the ones made at Naiad’s Etsy Shop are fat free and just as delicious!
