I did a little face of the day using the new Tarte Amazonian Blush in Glisten and Tarte Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Gloss in Tipsy. Hope it’s ok as I know some folks don’t really like FOTD (Face of the Day) posts.

Here’s my last FOTD with the Wonder Woman Collection Eye Quads. Today I’m sporting Defiance. So far, without a doubt, Valiant is my favorite of the lot but Defiance comes in at a close second. This does a great job of creating a delicate pink eye look. Colors aren’t bold or particularly vibrant so if you enjoy and embrace a softer eye look this one is for you!

I had a blast working with the Valiant Eye Quad this morning. It’s turning into my favorite palette from the MAC Wonder Woman launch.

Below I used the Valiant Quad on my eyes, Emancipation Lipglass on my lips, and Mighty Aphrodite on my cheeks. All three products were instant favs for me! I find Valiant contrasts nicer than Lady Justice as the shades graduate a bit better where as Lady Justice I had a problem diffusing the two shades of blue for a bit of a contrast.

Here’s the end result.

I was pleased with Mighty Aphrodite’s overall finish as well. Some of you were a bit scared it would apply to frosty or shimmery but I’m happy to report it blends out quite nicely on my cheeks.

Overall, these were three products I’d pick up with the release.

I messed around with the Lady Justice Eye Quad this morning. It’s not one of my better looks but I had fun playing with it. I simply used Lady Justice to highlight my high brown, a bit of Bold Babe on the lid, and blended Deep Truth into the crease. I honestly wasn’t sure what to do with Insurmountable in my bolder look so I left that one out and proceeded to fill my waterline with a load of Urban Decay Perversion to really make the blues pop! On my cheeks I dusted a tiny bit of Amazon Princess.

The palette isn’t the easiest trio to work with due to the bolder shades of blue but those with more youthful eyes can take advantage easily and create some really vibrant looks. I’m starting to get to an age where I can’t wear such loud shades without looking tired so be aware if your eyes are a bit older with darker circles as these blues may accentuate those problem areas.
