Musings of the Day
Actually it’s not morning anymore right? My god, the hours are all running into each other this crazy busy day!
I got kinda a fun idea for today’s Musings of the Day when I seen Total Beauty is offering a $10,000 Shopping Spree at Sephora. How insane is that?! What could you possibly buy at Sephora with all that money!? It’s a rather absurd amount…..
But than….it hit me…I bet I’ve spent that much in at least 2-3 years!!!!!!!!!!! My god! Ouchie!
But hey this is money for nothing.
If you wanna enter you can head to Total Beauty and enter for a chance to win by writing product reviews on their site. Total Beauty kinda mimics Makeup Alley and allows everyday users to say their piece on makeup, skincare, and more….
You also get an extra chance to win by signing up for their newsletter. The contest ends as of December 31st, 2009 so hurry! The more you review the better the chances are you’ll win $10k to splurge on a Sephora haul!
And now…..Musings of the Day….what would you buy with $10,000 at Sephora!? Holy cow, I don’t even have an answer for this one!!!!!!
I’d probably just sit there and haul entire lines of stuff from Urban Decay, Guerlain, YSL, Etc…..Seriously with 10k we could just OWN everything in the store or almost everything. I’d probably share it with friends too.
What do you think?
What would you haul with $10,000 at Sephora?
So…some people adore baby shampoo, some folk just like plain old water, some use whatever is handy in their showers.
What do YOU use to clean your brushes with?
Wanna Muse your cleaning methods? Let’s have it. What’s your secret to ultra clean brushes?
Jump ahead for my fav!
I can’t be alone here. Do you ever come across an incredible skincare, a foundation, or anything really…and after a year or so of use, suddenly, you become immune to it?
The foundation that made your skin flawless isn’t really doing the job anymore, or that concealer that hid everything isn’t really covering much at all, or how about that incredible moisturizer that soothed your dry skin which suddenly fails to hydrate your skin.
Jump to Muse about your immunities!
How’s tricks? Hope everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I’m so NOT a morning person so don’t even get me in on a discussion about the AM. Tonight I’m off to see this incredibly cheesy interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show. Every been to one? It’s where people dress up and throw rice at the screen during the wedding scene and other weird stuff. Loves it! I swear I can play a part in the movie as I know all the lines and songs. If you happen to be there I’ll be in the middle row with a few geeky friends flanking my side singing DAMMIT JANET I LOVE YOU!
Wanna Muse together?
I noticed MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief has hit the scene. w00t! I’m probably going to try to get to a counter later this weekend. The time has kinda come and gone for me to run to the nearest counter and haul like the end of MAC is coming soon. I’m sorta off the crack that is MAC but I’ll definitely be having a peeky to see what appeals.
Which brings me to today’s Musings of the Day!
What will you be hauling from MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief?
Tell the Muse and jump ahead for her list!
Ahhh days of old. The Muse loves reliving her youth and remembering really bad makeup choices and drugstore purchases gone horribly wrong.
I remember Sea Breaze which was the equivalent to deep skin diving with a cotton ball. I swear that stuff removed oil, dirt, skin, and all. It dried me out like the Sahara Desert but lord knows it sure dug deep. Am I alone in my twisted love for this stuff? Granted I’d never use now thanks to being in the know about alcohol and dry skin but back than it was incredible.
Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers! Totally where my pokemon, collect ‘em all disease originated from. I had to HAVE all the flavors when I was like 11 or 12. I remember for Christmas my sister would always stuff my stocking with the 100 pack….remember those packs of a million? I was all kinds of cool for having that many flavors.
Hmmm…..let’s see…..there are more I’m sure of it.
Oh yes! Nozema! Actually it’s still an old age favorite around these parts and has a prominent space on my shower shelf. I slather it on like nobody’s biz while I’m doing my thing in the shower. All that stinging has to mean it’s deep cleaning right? No seriously I love this stuff.
How about you?
What are some of your old school favs?
I’m ever hopeful some of you are as old as me and can kick back and remember the good old days of wacky skincare and makeup finds.
