New in Beauty

Here’s the new Revlon Custom Eyes Shadow & Liner Palettes. I’m kinda excited about these as some of the shades were really me (I’m really into nudes, browns, and natural shades lately). Each palette contains four shades and one liner shade. Drugstore brands are really embracing the easy to create eye look lately and include instructions, etc..for creating a contrasting eye look. I will say I think Jessica Biel’s eye look is pretty unflattering in the advert. The palettes appear chalky but I indulged anyway in the hopes they might be special!?
Whatcha think?

Here’s the display for the L’Oreal The One Sweep Eyeshadow. I haven’t had any great success with it since purchasing and reviewing two of them for you a week or two ago but I keep trying with the hopes that it’ll work.
Basically it features three shades of shadow and a huge sponge applicator which you sweep the three shades on with to create a defining, contrasting eye look. What you actually get is a hot mess in my humblest.
Have you tried?

Maybelline Fit Me Collection is a new range of blushes, concealers, pressed powders, and foundations in an array of various shades ranging from lighter to darker. Maybelline’s idea for fitting your correct shade is allowing you to fit your wrist under the cardboard cut out of a particular shade and matching up accordingly. Honestly, matching your wrist to your face is always risky even though its a time honored tradition eh?
Some of the blushes looked really pretty but I’m not so sure about the foundations and such even the concealer failed to excite me but we’ll see eh?
Whatcha think?

Hope you aren’t too bored with all the new in beauty drugstore collections today! I’m almost done running through them all and I know some of you appreciate the coverage and seeing the new things on offer at the drugstore.
Revlon has a new Photo Ready Compact Make Up and a new Photo Ready Concealer Stick. I’m not a huge fan of the Revlon Photo Ready Makeup Collection but I picked up the concealer since I’m such a junkie for new concealing action I couldn’t resist.

Here’s the L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation display. I reviewed it recently for you and by now some of you probably tried it. I didn’t like it all that much sadly. It seemed to have the potential for greatness but something was missing….mmm…
What were your thoughts if you did try it?

Almay Intense i-Color Smoky i-Kit is a new range of easy to apply eyeshadows for creating a smoky eye look in three steps that suitable for your own unique eye shade. Again, with brands telling me what shades I should or shouldn’t wear! Grrr! I purchased one of these, and hell I live dangerous because I think I got one meant for green eyes, GASP! Could I be arrested by the makeup police for that?!
No but seriously….
I have no great love for Almay but these really do look like intense eyeshadows with nice color payoff! Haven’t played yet but will review when I do.
Have you seen ‘em!?
