By now you’ve probably indulged in your own pot of Steam Cream or not….after reading the Muse’s wonky rave and review about it she’s making the big assumption that she’s convinced you that life can’t go on without a few pots of Steam Cream hanging around your washroom, your vanity, and at your desk.
Miss my review?
Blast you! I guess I forgive you, click here to read it!
Question is, if you did indulge, is Steam Cream a Yay or a Nay for you?
Jump ahead to see what I think!
Cute tins? Check! Fast absorbing? Check! Works on my face, body, hands, and everywhere else in between? Check, check, check!
What isn’t to love about this multitasking demon of a cream that softens my skin and makes it all pretty again? Multitasking as both a facial and a body cream this amazing moisturizer sinks in on contact and is possibly thee fastest absorbing cream I’ve ever used in my life.
With good for you ingredients and a soothing, healing blend, Steam Cream has been a fast favorite this past Winter and a life saver for my dry skin.
So of course, it’s most definately, a big yay!
How about you?
Steam Cream must have winged it’s way to your side of the world by now.
Is Steam Cream a Yay or a Nay for you?
Do share!

Know what this is?
Some of you may know and some of you may not know this…but the Muse deems it her duty to tell you for the first time or to remind you if you already know that Shiseido has big old packs of awesome facial cloth for $9 USD. It’s not the best facial cloth around but it’s the best one you’ll find in the US and the price is rather nice as well.
Facial Cloth is great for removing eye makeup or makeup in general, applying toner, etc…it’s particularly nice because it’s a generous size, very soft, doesn’t leaves blobs of cotton all over your face, and is nice and thick. Yes, you can get pretty decent cotton in a drugstore with quite a cheap price but I actually think that the Shiseido is well worth picking it up since it has around 150 pieces of more in the bag and is such a generous size. Your local counter carries facial cotton but you probably never knew since they don’t actually “advertise it”. Normally a bag lasts me for 5-6 months with daily use. If I’m really cheaping it up I can go even longer by using one cloth for both eyes, they are so big you can easily do so!
So head to your local Shiseido counter and nab a bag for yourself! Great price and a ton of cotton to aid you in getting all your eye makeup swept away!
What are your fav facial cottons?

This Musings was inspired by a reader, Andreea, who was ranting about how much she hates being followed around in a shop and treated like a thief.
Andreea, I feel your pain me love.
So today’s Musings of the Day is all about counters and stores. Do you ever feel like you’re being shadowed by a rep or a store clerk when you’re at Sephora? Or at a counter?
Jump ahead for the Muse’s answer!
YES, YES, YES DAMMIT! All the bloody time. I hate going into Sephora because MA’s literally follow me around and keep asking if I need a basket. They watch me like a hawk! Everything I pick up, anything I touch, their eyes are constantly following me. It’s gotten so bad I rarely step foot into a Sephora anymore, I simply do my ordering online.
Truly I feel like a thief or something the way they follow me around. It’s not even the helpful type of following where they start foaming at the mouth about how great a product is. It’s simply following me and watching me as if I’m going to pocket a lip gloss or a blush.
It’s a rather uncomfortable feeling
I rarely shop Ulta so I haven’t really experienced this their and counters do the same but mostly it’s annoying MA’s trying to score a sale. But Sephora…damn I feel like a thief. It’s really quite an uncomfortable shopping experience.
What makes me even more irritated is a bunch of teenagers will be destroying a display by playing with everything on it but no one looks at them or goes over to them but me they follow around in circles.
I find it weirdly gratifying to dump my basket on the counter and whip out my credit card. It’s like a strange way of thumbing my nose at them and saying, “SEE? I have money to buy this stuff…amazing right?!”
How about you?
Ever feel like a thief with a pocket full of money?

(oops sorry for the extra “o” in too! hehe!
You know how pushy MA’s can be! Heck, you might even appreciate it since some of them work on commission but none the less it’s still rather annoying to say the least.
So today’s Musings is which counters or stores do you find the most aggressive, the most irritating, the most pushy….
Jump ahead for my reply!
Actually, my choice isn’t a cosmetic counter. In fact it doesn’t have anything at all to do with makeup. The place I avoid at all costs because the reps are annoying, irritating, and EXTREMELY, maxed out, over the top pushy is Bath and Body Works.
Omg!
Going into Bath and Body Works in one word is a ridiculous experience. I haven’t set foot inside one in a long, long, long time since the sales reps are just awful, terrible, a real nightmare. They are so incredibly pushy it turns my stomach to even venture inside the store. I don’t even think they work on commission but they are somehow programmed robots to push, push, PUSH! They push so much that I think most people are pushed out the door without bothering to purchase because of the irritating way the reps are.
Try this, try that, have you seen this? How about that? Have one of these? This is $5! Here let me get you a cart, a basket, a bag, a tote, let me hose you down with our newest fragrance even though you’re sneezing all over the place.
Truly Bath and Body Works needs to tame it’s reps. Maybe if they do I’ll consider going back inside one of the stores. Until than I avoid it at all costs!
How about you?
What’s your least favorite store or counter to visit because the artists or reps are just too bloody pushy?

I had to go to CVS yesterday to hunt and peck through scary drugstore makeup to locate the Maybelline foundation I was babbling about yesterday. On my quest I couldn’t resist plopping some more Essence of Beauty Brushes in my cart.
Jump ahead for haulage pics!
I don’t normally like cheap brushes but I must say that these always impress. I ended up picking up the travel size kit and a two brush shadow duo set. I think both sets cost me $15 USD or so? Not too bad a price for seven brushes total. Hi cheap brushes the Muse likey you very much.
Although I wasn’t as pleased with the travel set as I was with the shadow duo set. The brushes seemed a bit more dense and harder than the normal Essence brushes I’ve picked up but none the less they were good aside from that. If you’re looking for some inexpensive, budget friendly brushes I’d totally recommend these as they are the best I’ve personally come across. I’m a MAC brush girl all the way but I can’t deny that the next best thing if I’m looking to save a buck or two would be snagging yourself some of these bad boys.
Check your local CVS for the selection.
Loves ‘em and even slapping a Muse Approval on ‘em for purchase!

Oh MAC how you please me to no end sometimes! Just when the Muse thinks her addiction is under control you throw incredible collections at her like your new Double Dazzle.

You’ll notice some repromotes above which is great if you missed them the first time around!
I tried out Utterly Posh, Moth to Flame, and Stop! Look! all of which were as fantastic in formula as the previous release although for some reason they looked like they had a whole heck of alot more dazzle but that could be my imagination.
I took some quickie pictures this morning of myself wearing Utterly Posh and Moth to Flame, I’ll try to get an FOTD posted soon with Stop! Look!
Utterly Posh is my new best friend as it’s a lovely little peach shade that’s ideal for Summer! Stop! Look! is a violet mauve with enough pink to make it perfectly wearable. And finally Moth to Flame is a very natural sheer beige that more sparkle than color but regardless still lovely! I actually applied a bit of Moth to Flame and some Utterly Posh on top for double the dazzle w00t!
I took some quickie pictures this morning of myself wearing Utterly Posh and Moth to Flame, I’ll try to get an FOTD posted soon with Stop! Look!

Pitting sister shadow against sister shadow is truly wicked! But the Muse can’t think up a better battle than facing off Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow against Urban Decay Eyeshadow!
Let the battle begin!
I’ve always been a big fan of just about anything UD has put out, particularly it’s awesome line of incredible eyeshadows. Hello likey! As I was thinking up this week’s Beauty Battle I couldn’t help but think what a great fight it would be putting up two of Urban Decay’s greatest shadows and facing them off against each other!
It’s going to be a close one kids so sit tight.
It deserves to be mentioned that both shadows have incredible pigmentation and a formula that blends like a dream. They are both really high end, quality shadows and some of my favorite shadows around.
Weighting in at 0.05 oz with a price tag of $16 USD and over 25 shades to choose from, Urban Decay Eye Shadow sure does please. Matte shadows, sparkly finishes, and plenty of shimmer are all available from this line of shadow! It’s size, it’s price, and it’s incredible variety keeps Urban Decay Shadow on top of this game but what does Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow offer us?
Merely $2 cheaper with a $18 USD price tag and a size of 0.09 oz these shadows creep up on us as a possible better value. The graffiti style package definitely trumps the old hubcap style of Urban Decay Eye Shadows as well. Getting a 3rd more product for $2 cheaper plus cute packaging could make these a winner but a mere 12 color selection could be it’s downfall!
This is a tough one to call but I do so deem the original Urban Decay Eye Shadow the winner. Although it’s bigger size and great packaging really appeals, I must deem Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow the loser for it’s lack of color selection. The colors they do offer are amazing so I’d love it if they expanded on the line and introduced new shades!
