Bits & Bobs
If you’re looking for an inexpensive, gentle cleansing facial wipe look no further! Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes are now available at your local Duane Reade for $5.99 USD or less…I say less because I seen ‘em at my Duane Reade for $4.99 USD weeeeeee love a good deal!
These are quick, gentle cleansing towelettes for removing makeup on the fly even waterproof mascara! These are actually really good for those with sensitive skin as they are uber gentle on skin. Although I simply adore MAC Cleansing Wipes and Biore I do feel like I get slightly dry skin from them and also they sting a tiny bit…weird I know since my skin is so not sensitive but I get a tiny bit of a burning sensation from both and I’m not entirely sure why!
So when I tried Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes I was rather surprised how gentle they were on my skin without any sticky after feel, stinging, or dryness! They are 100% Alcohol Free and Oil Free!
If you like the sound of a simple, easy and quick wipe that’s budget friendly head on over to Duane Reade to nab some now!
Tried these?
Love ‘em?

A year or so ago the Muse did a post and video about her makeup stash and within that post I blogged about Lori Greiner and how she’s a goddess from above with her awesome storage items and ideas!
A majority of my makeup collection and jewelry collection is stashed away in various storage boxes and armories that I’ve purchased from Lori’s Clever and Unique Creations line. Lori obviously thinks like a woman because her storage solutions are obviously what all of us have been looking for our entire lives! As the name suggests the are clever, unique, and exactly what makeup junkies need to stash away all there goodies!
Not a day goes by that I don’t get at least 2-3 e-mails asking me where I got my storage boxes and one in particular that gets questioned over and over again is the Lori Greiner Deluxe Cosmetic Organizer. I thought I’d do a post and review about this particular organized since it’s so chic and holds ALOT of product!
The organizer is disguised as a beautiful box complete with tassel pull but inside hides an array of awesome little nooks and crannies to stash away an entire wardrobe of makeup! I don’t want to disappoint but this one is currently out of stock on QVC however that’s why the Muse is here to tell you to 1. be on the look out for it on E-bay and 2. be sure to set your Tivo as Lori is often on QVC and this sometimes pops back into stock so you’ll want to grab it while the grabbing is good!
The top half opens to reveal four fold out trays, two on either side of the box. On the left side of the box (the top tier) you have 28 slots for lipsticks, fold this back to reveal two deep comparements for blushes, shadow palettes, etc…..move over to the middle of the box and you’ll have one main compartment for storing small bottles, more palettes, etc…also in the center, divided in half from the main compartment, you have 8 sectioned boxes to hold brushes, eye pencils, etc….on the right hand side (top tier) you have two main comparments for storing more palettes, shadows, etc…and finally on the bottom tier 8 sectioned dividers for holding blushes, shadows, etc….
As you can see the unit holds tons of product and if your collection isn’t ridiculously large you can probably fit it all safely inside this beautiful box. I actually now have three of these boxes and each is filled to the max! One is in my washroom and the other two are in my spare bedroom or what I’ve deemed “the makeup room”.
When I originally purchased my first unit it was only available in a green print but it’s since evovlved and is available in blue and pink. I’m quite partial to the pink print! I can’t recall exactly but I believe this was around $29.99-$35 USD when I purchased it and as I mentioned it is out of stock at the moment on QVC but it does sometimes slip back in and out of stock so keep your eyes opened!
Lori has a slew of other fantastic cosmetic units and storage ideas so do have a click over and check out her site for ideas on how to get your stash in order!
I have my eye on her new makeup vanity unit which looks amazing and her new mirroed spinning jewelry cabinet which looks amazing!
You can see all of her items by visiting www.lorigreiner.com
I’ve been a fan of her items for many, many years and her entire collection is Muse Approved! I really do sincerely love everything she puts out! Her ideas are simply awesome and I haven’t come across a better place that offers such amazing storage solutions and other great gift giving ideas!

Urban Decay Friends and Family Event started yesterday but I didn’t have a chance to blog it! Get 30% off your entire order using code FFH30!
Now is a great time to stock up on palettes, shadows, and more at a 30% savings! Yay! I’m going over to have a look in a few seconds but before I do I thought I’d review one of the Best of Urban Decay Gift Sets for you!
You might have guessed that the Muse loves to match so of course gift sets that contain an array of matching items are always appealing! The new Best of Urban Decay Baked Gift Set contains everything you need to create a sizzling hot Holiday eye look by combining Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Baked, Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Bourbon, and Urban Decay Primer Potion all for $32 USD (and just think at 30% off that would be $22 USD or so!).
Even though these sets were introduced for the Holiday the Muse feels like the Best of Urban Decay Baked Gift Set is ideal for the Fall as the color combination reminds me of falling leaves! Baked eyeshadow is a shimmering bronze shade that matches up perfectly with the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Bourbon and topped with a bit of Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Baked you’ll be smoking!
To create my look below I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Baked all over my lid and crease, lined my lower waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Bourbon, and completed my look by lining my upper lash line with Urban decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Baked. Since I was busy being Baked I brushed some Urban Decay Baked Bronzer on my cheeks as well!
If you fancy a bit of a warmer feel to your Holiday looks you should definitely check out the Best of Urban Decay Baked Gift Set and at 30% off who could go wrong? The Muse adores it and thinks you will too! Muse Approved for purchase all the way!

Meet my favorite budget friendly stocking stuffers for the Holiday:
If you read my review on Rosebud Salve you probably already hold the key to the secrets of Life, the Universe, and Everything. What you probably didn’t realize is that the second key to the universe is held within these little duo packages of joy!
I’ve been using Softlips since…hmm forevers. The Muse and her sister have happily purchased Softlips for a very long time, years and years. I can remember Softlips Lip Balm being one of my very first makeup purchases so indeed it’s been a while!
Honestly aside from Rosebud Salve I haven’t met a better option for keeping my lips happy during the cold weather skin! I’ve always had one of these little guys tucked into my purse for quick touch ups on the go. They glide on incredibly well and offer a nice seal of protection for cold, bitter New York weather plus they taste sooooo good! And let’s not forget they have SPF 20!
Softlips have introduced two new Limited Edition Duo Packs that contain two full size Softlips Balms. The first package holds Vanilla and Mint flavored balms which are great to use alone or layer them on top of each other for a Vanilla Mint flavored pout! The second package contains my personal favorite Cherry! It also contains Sugar Cookie which you can combine with Cherry to create Cherry Sugar Cookies! Yum! The Muse gets really excited about the little things in life.
Many of you have written me emails asking I feature some budget friendly options for cosmetics, gifts, etc..and I think that these Softlips Duo Packs are ideal for budget stocking stuffers! Each pack costs around $3.50-$3.99 USD which isn’t too bad a deal at all! They make very cute gift toppers as well to tape to the top of a bigger gift or to stick in a Holiday gift bag!
Yo can learn more about Softlips by visiting them at www.softlips.com!
I know quite a few folk were disappointed that the Harajuku Girl Solid Perfume Coffret Contest was not open to the US residents! Boo! Hiss!
But the good news is today I have two Limited Edition Packages of Softlips to give away to readers within the US and abroad! Simply comment below and I’ll be choosing two random readers to get one of the two packets I have! The contest begins today and ends on Friday so Good Luck!

Hey guys!
I’m sure you’re busy little bees getting your items all placed in your cart online at Sephora! But if you’re one for heading in store to swatch, look at, and touch items you may want to take advantage of the Sephora Friends and Family In Store Event this weekend on Saturday from 8-10 am!
I got a Beauty Insider inviting me to participate in this event but I know not everyone did so I took the liberty to white out my name and slap it up here for everyone to enjoy!
If you’re a Beauty Insider just print this out and take it to the store on Saturday morning and the Muse thinks they will honor your request to get 20% off your total order!
Happy Shopping!
Hey Guys!
Happy Friday!
Next week I’m bringing you a Week in Review of the brand new Harajuku Girl Fragrances. I covered these before but I wanted to do an individual review of each perfume because I got an overwhelming amount of e-mails asking how these are, if they are worth purchasing, key notes in the blends, etc…etc…Rather then answer all those e-mails I thought I’d just post a review a day of each fragrance giving you further details about each one, what my favorites are, what they smell like, etc….
In honor of my Week in Review I’ll be doing a little contest here on Musings! I know how much you adore my quirky contests where I do my geeky trivia but I’m going to keep this one rather clean and simple!
You have two chances to win one of two Harajuku Girl Solid Perfume Coffrets I have available. The coffrets have all five of the scents available in one cute gift box so you can try each of them out for yourself! Cutes right?!
You have two chances to win one of these two sets by leaving a comment below and if you’re already a subscriber to my feed you’ll have a second chance to win the set! Which means if you aren’t already subscribed you’ll want to subscribe so you can have your second chance to win the sets! You can subscribe by entering your email below:
The contest begins today and it will end next week Friday! Sadly, I can only open the contest to US residents right now! Sorry about that but I will have more contests shortly that will be open to non-US residents

I came, I saw, I conquered Sephora’s Friend & Family Sale!
W00t!
I ended up doing all my own personal purchases and gift purchases for friends and family on the same order. I normally like keeping them seperate because I like to budget my own purchases but this year I just gobbed it all together!
Sadly, it wasn’t as thrilling as it would be if I wasn’t a blogger. I tend to end up purchasing things way early so I can get reviews up here. If I waited for Sephora FF I’d be WAY late on reviews so I just indulge early! But I did get a few items that had my eye and will review them all for you when they arrive of course!
Here’s the final list (I think that’s all of it!):
Kate Von D Rock n Roll Eyeshadow in Air Guitar and Confessional
NARS Single Eyeshadow in Emmanuelle
Korres Eyeshadow in 24S Gold
Korres Sugar Plums Gift Set
Stila Eyeshadow Duo in Terracotta
Bare Escentuals Extreme Glimmers Kit
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Persepolis and Mediteranee
YSL Bow Lip Palette
I won’t be posting gifts I brought as my friends and some family members read my blog! Don’t wanna ruin the surprise!
How about you?
