Beauty Bits & Bobs
Here it is folks, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. News on Jill Stuart Cosmetics!
A year or so ago the rumor of Jill Stuart Cosmetics was afloat during Fashion Week and how the flagship store located in New York would begin carrying the line. This morning I read online that indeed Jill Stuart Cosmetics is available within the US at the Jill Stuart Store located in Manhattan.
I called straight away as I don’t have time to wander over there today and here are the deets.
If you live in New York you can head to 100 Greene Street and touch, pet, and haul till your little heart beats right out of your chest. If you live somewhere else in the US you can order from the store by calling them at (212) 343-2300 and paying a flat rate ground fee of around $15 to have them ship some yummie goodies your way.
I asked after a few of the prices and they are pretty reasonably priced and almost what you’d paid within Japan even a little bit less in some cases. This is the color cosmetic line only that they carry and from what the sales girl told me it’s a limited amount of items but none the less it’s still Jill Stuart right?
Here’s the break down of a few prices:
Jill Stuart Eye Palettes $48
Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Creams $24
Jill Stuart Glosses $30
I only got a few prices as I’m sure the rep was busy at her job. I’ll head over there next chance I get to snag some photos and let you know further details. Fact of the matter is that Jill Stuart Cosmetics within the US is striking news for this sunny Fall afternoon. I’m hopeful this means it’ll branch out to high end counters at Nordies, Saks, and Neimen’s soon! I imagine it all depends on how the line does in the store itself.
Don’t forget to check out my slew of Jill Stuart Reviews located here on Musings before making your purchases.

The British Beauty Blogger is on the case of the Lancome Holiday Collection 2009. Although it may be early for you to think of the Holiday, the world of beauty bloggers are already clamoring at the prospects of beautiful seasonal makeup.
Lancome releases yet another shimmering powder with this year’s holiday collection. I find that Lancome and Estee Lauder seem to keep with the powder theme much of the time. Obviously, this is a super secret ninja spy marketing technique because they know we can’t just pass up a powder that sparkles right? Lancome Sparkling Cherub Sheer Warming Illuminating powder has a cute little cherub embedded into the powder and appears to be made up of a bronze gold shade. Looks more Valentine-like to me but very pretty none the less.
Lancome Glossy Plum Color Fever Gloss looks like a rather festive red color. British Beauty Blogger reports it’s somewhat of gothic, vampy shade. I find it unique and quite fitting for the holiday.
Also releasing are two limited edition Lancome Oscillation Mascaras one of which is a sparkling gold and the other a silver. I’m really interested in both as I love sparkly lash looks for the Holiday.
The entire collection should be available on counters November 1st or probably before if this Muse’s Lancome hopes and wishes are granted.
The Body Shop Precious Pearlescents is available now in store and online. The Body Shop went a little warm this year and a little bold with their new Fall line up. I was quite delighted to see a mix of Fall friendly shades thrown together with some very vibrant, popping shades of green, blue, and lilac. Quite an interesting collection if you’re a friendly fan of color.
In honor of their new Fall Collection, The Body Shop is featuring new haul videos daily from youTubers who review, discuss, and even do tutorials using the collection. You can hop on over to The Body Shop Blog and enjoy a new video daily to see who’s loving all over the collection and what sort of looks they created. The Muse did a very brief video on her MuseTV channel over on youTube however she doesn’t particularly excel at video creating which is why she is following up that review with a post here on Musings.

Well wow that was short lived. Calvin Klein Cosmetics are 75% Off at Sephora as of now. Much of it is already sold out, gasp, quick! But I’m sure they will restock just give it a day or two as I doubt the entire stock has depleted. It takes alot to shock me but count me pretty surprised. This was the quickest line I’ve seen that has come and gone from Sephora….I don’t think it’s yet been a year since they added it.
Well I guess now is a good time for me to finally indulge in the Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme Eyeshadow I’ve had on my eye on as they are $9 bucks plus everyone had said how great the blushes are and those are a mere $11.
Come back tell me what you snag!
