Pieces of Life
Can you believe we made it through another year? Nothing short of a miracle. It was a good one for me. No, scratch that. It was great. Any year that I’m healthy and able with wonderful friends and family surrounding me is a GREAT year.
My wishes for you are the same wishes I have for myself this year. Health, Happiness, and Joy in the little things. Try not to sweat life too much. We’re here to enjoy it not worry ourselves into an early grave.
I’m not wishing for anything fancy. Not extra money, riches, or more, more, more…I’d be happy if things just stayed the same as they are right now. Change is nice but sometimes it’s also nice to stay the same.
I wish you and yours the Happiest, Healthiest 2013 ahead! Remember to laugh often, smile plenty, love yourself, and always love others.
P.S. Here’s Wil in foot pajamas (CLICK!)…you know, New Year deserves a little geekdom. Enjoy!
I look forward to a great New Year with ALL of you at my side!
Happy Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Chanukah, Happy Holidays to you and yours. Wherever you are, whether you celebrate or not, I hope you’re with friends and family that you love and who love you. The best blessing of all around the holidays is great friends and family everything else is cake.
Thank you for being a part of my online world this year. Thanks for keeping me company during the lipstick gone bad days, thanks for reading my rants about some beauty product or another and agreeing with me, that indeed it is crummy and I’m not nuts. Thanks for sharing the joy of skincare, makeup, and all things beauty with me. Thanks for reminding me how fun beauty is.
And most important thanks for sharing your lives and time with me. Your tweets, your comments, your e-mails all mean so much to me. You’re all my extended family and around this time of the year I get sentimental enough to shed a tiny tear that I can’t physically hug each and every one of you.
My Christmas wish would be to have a big party and invite all of you over for it. We could laugh, watch Doctor Who, eat really good food, and ooooo and ahh over each others makeup collections. Maybe one day! A girl can dream.
My other Christmas wish is that you have a very warm, safe, happy Holiday. Remember it isn’t about the presents or decorations or even the delicious food. It’s all about being around good people…family..friends…and reminding yourself to be the best person you can be and not to sweat the little stuff but to just live in this moment. This very happy moment.
The world isn’t over, the zombie plaque hasn’t hit, and Santa is on the way!
Have fun and I wish I was there to say Happy Holidays in person.
P.S. Giveaways continue into the New Year so stay tuned next week!
It seems like minutes turn into hours and hours into days and days into weeks and weeks into years a little too quickly lately. When I was young the Holidays seemed to take ages and ages to arrive. As an adult they seem to whip in and out of my life before I have a chance to enjoy them.
As autumn comes to a close and the mad rush of the Holiday Season arrives I hope you take a second to whisper a word of thanks that you woke up this morning to enjoy it all. Sometimes life is a cake walk other times it feels like we’re climbing up a never ending hill but at least we are here to do it. The only thing that matters is you can crack your eyes open in the morning, give a yawn, and face the exciting adventure ahead yet again. Give thanks that you’re here today to enjoy all that this wonderful world has to offer. Give thanks that you have someone to share it with even if that someone is just your cat! Give thanks you have a pillow to rest your weary head on at the end of the day. Give thanks for that toast and tea you enjoyed this morning. Give thanks even if you had a crappy day because at least you’re here to experience that day!
A million people will tell you that life is to short and I sincerely doubt you want to hear it again. But it is. We age so quickly and we seem to rush through our life so very fast. Take a moment to sit back, breath in, and look around at all the wonderful things that make up your own life and remember to feel grateful for all of them be they big or small.
You don’t need Thanksgiving to give thanks for all that you have. Giving thanks for what you have should be what you utter the moment your head hits the pillow after a long day. But Thanksgiving is a great holiday to give you a little nudge and reminder that you sure are lucky enough to enjoy this rather grand adventure we call life.
I’m very blessed and thankful for all that I have and that my dear friends include every single one of you. Thank you for spending your precious time with me! We may not be traditional friends but friends we are none the less.
Happiest Thanksgiving to you and yours!
