Summer Must Haves
It’s getting to be that special time of the year kids. Tans, beaches, swimming, humid nights, and long, warm days are ahead! Start getting your Summer on now with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent.
This is my first run in with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance line up. Although it’s been released from year to year, the Muse somehow missed it’s amazing scent. Now that she’s hooked she’ll def be making it part of her Summer must have selections!
With a sensuous blend of bergamot and mandarin this scent engulfs you in it’s warm heat and makes you think of the hot beach with the scent of tanning oil in the air. Rounded up with hints of coconut, gardenia, amber, and sandalwood the fragrance toys with you nose and captures the true essence of what Summer is all about, heat, warmth, and the boiling sun!
Freaking loves it!
The bottle is 3.4 oz in size and $52 USD. It’s an Eau Fraīche which makes it considerably lighter wear than a typical EDT or EDP but that doesn’t keep it from having a good throw and a nice long linger especially in the warmer weather, seems as my body chemistry rises the scent intensifies into a unique fragrance experience.
The Muse thinks Summer is starting off on the right foot with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent in her fragrance arsenal! She’s ready for the warm weather, bring it!
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent is Muse Approved for purchase. Get some, I think you’ll loves it as much as I do.

I recently read about Tarte Peaches and Cream Oil-Free Powder Foundation over at 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic.
After reading Christine’s raving review I promptly looked up more reviews for the product and decided I must haves it now! Let me tell you there are quite a few raves surrounding this little product. Although I’m a Tarte fan this is the first time I’ve even heard about this. The worst part about the entire product is it’s freaking limited edition! Ugh! How awful is that? What convinced me further to want to try this out was I got at least ten e-mails over the past two weeks asking “Muse have you tried Tarte Peaches and Cream Foundation?” and I sadly had to say no that I never even heard about it!
This is probably thee best product you’ll run across at the moment that offers really good yet light coverage plus dries down to a matte, powder finish which is perfect for those humid, hot days. I probably can’t get away with wearing this in the Winter when my skin is drier but right now when I’m sporting a bit of oily skin it’s pure perfection.
A little tiny dab goes a long way. Simply squirt a small amount on your fingertip and go to town smoothing it down the sides of your nose and spreading outwards to your cheeks, under your lip line, sides of chin, etc….these are areas I need coverage as those are dull spots for me and also shadowy. After this I have a beautiful working canvas for the rest of my makeup or since the coverage is so natural I can simply leave the house with this on and some gloss!
It contains plenty of good for you ingredients like vitamins a, c, and e plus it has an SPF of 20 which is a total plus for me! The color does appear slightly strange. It has a very weird orange beige tinge however it does blend in flawlessly in and leaves my skin looking fresh and awake!
In my quest for perfect, flawless skin Tarte Peaches & Cream definately gets added to my Summer Must Have list! The fact that it offers excellent coverage while remaining light and natural plus keep my skin matte in the Summer sun makes it a perfect addition to my Summer Must Have Makeup List!
The Muse sportin’ some Tarte Peaches and Cream!
As you can see from my FOTD (excuse my tired eyes! Didn’t have much sleep last night eep!) the foundation gives a rather fresh, dewy look to my skin!
This retails for $35 USD however allow me to direct you to Tarte’s site now and get 40% off during their Friends and Family Sale! Click!
In a world of Yay and Nay this one gets a big yay! The Muse likes it! Alot!

I think most of us crave a really light makeup when the humid, hot weather hits. Or in some cases you might be living in a climate when the weather is humid all the time!
When the humidity is so thick you can cut it with a knife and the heat feels like it’s going to melt your face it’s understandable to seek out a lighter, refreshing makeup that stays put and feels like you’re not wearing anything at all on your face.
In my search for a lighter foundation for the Summer I came across the Too Faced Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation. This neat little wand is quite like having a large version of YSL’s Touche Eclat Radiant pen. A few clicks and a quick blend later and my face is looking refreshed, flawless, and beautiful with minimal effort on my part.
The box claims that this banishes large pores but sadly I can’t give you the low down on this as my pores aren’t very large. It also promises to leave your skin flawless with sheer build-able coverage. That part is very true. The formula is ideal for the Summer as it applies as a moisturizing foundation but it dries down to a very matte finish which allows your skin to breath while keeping oily skin at bay.
I love how this wakes up my tired, dull skin and makes it bright and fresh looking as if I just washed and scrubbed my face! The formula is thick and creamy but don’t let that lead you into believing it’s heavy. It’s quite light and airy once blended and just feels wonderfully natural. It has pretty nice staying power without the help of powder. I wore it from 6 am till around 3 in the afternoon with no touch ups. Although my MSF was showing signs of fading around this time my foundation was still going strong and a quick pinch of cheek stain to freshen my cheeks up was all I needed. This contains light reflecting pigments and as I said it’s quite a nice moisturizing foundation without feeling oily. If you look close enough you can see a faint gleam and shimmer to your skin! Not so much that it looks shimmery or glittery but just the right amount to make your skin give off a bit of a glow!
I’m loving the packaging on this as it has a built in brush so if you don’t want to touch the foundation you can easily swipe on and blend with the built in brush! Click, dab, blend, done! Simple!
Bare face Muse! Wearing Too Faced Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation, MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Global Glow, and some NARS lip gloss in Misbehave!
All in all a rather nice little foundation from Too Faced! The Muse enjoyed this one and I’m slapping a Muse Approval on it for purchase! Makeup simplicity is a must in the Summer heat and Too Faced Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation has me covered!

Mess in a Dress!
Love that name! It just rolls off my tongue! Mess in a Dress happens to fall right into my Summer Must Have Makeup bag this season! I love bright, bold shades in the Summer and Mess in a Dress delivers!
I was discussing this not so long ago with my reader and friend, Taryn, she had mentioned what a gorgeous shade it was and how she had her eye on it!
Here it is in all it’s glory:
Dontcha just love loud shades for the Summer? So fun!
The Muse sporting some Mess in a Dress:

Too Faced in Mess in a Dress is definately on my Summer Must Have Makeup list! Loving it!
NARS gets some more love this week with my Summer Must Have Nail Polish for my toes! NARS Nail Polish in Schiap is my latest discovery of coolness!
At first glance of the bottle this looks like a really cheap, gaudy fuchsia but once it’s on..oh LORD….loves it!
It’s a beautiful cherry pink! That’s the only way I can describe it. Can we have a blush and a lip gloss like this please NARS? Thanks from the Muse and your fans!
I can’t really describe the color but it’s worth hoping into Sephora to peek at! It’s a cross between fuchsia and a reddish pink and the outcome is a simply divinely gorgeous shade!
See for yourself:
The Muse is loving this shade and her toes are happily wiggling with it on!
Perfect shade for the Summer!
Go grab some!
