Covergirl Colorlicious Lipgloss ($7.99) is a new Summer 2014 Lipgloss formula that’s popping up at drugstores now in 13 shades. I think Covergirl is a little lacking in the gloss department so a new range of juicy lipglosses for Summer sounds like a great idea to me.
The Covergirl Colorlicious Lipgloss Collection promises a highly glossy and pigmented finish with a moisturizing formula. They call the packaging a true to tube color so what you see in tubes is what you get on lips.
I disagree with some of the marketing on these so let’s take a look at my review!
Head to your local drugstore because Covergirl introduces new products for Summer 2014 that includes Covergirl Olay Face Lift Effect Foundation, Covergirl Olay The De-Puffer Concealer, Covergirl Colorlicious Lipgloss, as well as Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Pressed Powder, Concealer, and Foundation plus a few other items!
There are a total of three new Covergirl displays to look through at drugstores now (my best friend sent me these images from Walgreens) so take a look below to grab the details!
Don’t quote me but Covergirl Clean Makeup Remover Wipes ($5.99 for 25) are the brand’s first every makeup removal wipe. Feel free to correct me but I don’t think I can recall Covergirl having makeup remover wipes available in the past.
These are launching now as a permanent part of the Covergirl Collection with a that promotion that features Katy Perry. Between Pink, Katy Perry, the Hunger Games Collection, and a newly repromoted “fun” Covergirl Smoochies Lip Balm, you can really see that the brand is pushing to gain a more youthful market where as their Covergirl Olay Collection is more for a mature purchaser.
These new Clean Makeup Remover Wipes are obviously also geared towards teens with their colorful packaging!
Take a look!
I’m slightly shocked I love Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow ($5.99 at Drugstores). I’m typically very disappointed by Covergirl offerings! They have some great products but sometimes the formulas just don’t pan out well for me.
Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow launched earlier this Spring in six shades. These new cream shadows offer color, shimmer, and come housed in a tiny tube.
Are they great?
Yeah, I’d like to think they are.
If you’ve been to try out the Covergirl Tru Magic Skin Perfector Mattifier or any of the new Tru Magic products you can do so with the new Covergirl True Magic Minis. These new mini Tru Magic products are available at Walgreens for $4.99 on sale (regularly $5.49) versus the full size price of $10.99.
Each mini is available in the original Skin Perfect Mattifier formula as well as the Shimmer Luminizer and Bronzer Sunkisser. These weight in at 0.8 oz each versus the original .27 oz size.
This is a nice way to check the product out and see how your skin reacts to it without committing to the fuller size. It also makes for a nice way to travel with the product! I’ve likened the formula to Mally Beauty Poreless Face Defender but I must admit I do like Mally’s version best of all! Youngblood also makes a version called Anti-Shine Mattifier.
