Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Sizzle Gloss is one of the only new products that popped out of the Covergirl Hunger Games The Coal Mining District 12 Collection I recently came across at the drugstore.
Granted there are some new, limited edition nail polishes but outside of that the entire display was a disappointing arrangement of past product releases. However, the new Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Sizzle Gloss I can’t say I’ve come across before. This past Summer, Covergirl relaunched their Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm with new colors, etc….and yes, they have had glosses like this new Sizzle Gloss in the past but this is new repackaged as to market to a younger demographic.

I ran across the display for the Covergirl Hunger Games The Coal Mining District 12 Collection at Harmons! This is one of the 7 displays of Covergirl Hunger Games inspired makeup that is launching for the Fall 2013 season.
As I suspected the display contained repromoted products and shades. Remember my original post where I expressed some doubt this would be a collection with special LE packaging or shades? Well, guess I was right!
Yes, it’s true, Covergirl Hunger Games Makeup Collection for Fall 2013 hits stores October 1st and is inspired by the Hunger Games Catching Fire. The news of the Covergirl Hunger Games Collection is completely viral as of yesterday when Covergirl started tweeting and instagramming promo images of the collection. Earlier in the Spring Cover Girl had mentioned they’d be doing a Capitol Makeup Collection of some sort but no solid details are available yet for the collection.
Here’s a few things I know.
Covergirl has a new range of single eyeshadows out entitled Flamed Out Shadow Pots. Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pots are available in twelve vibrant shades for Summer 2013 and I believe they will become a permanent part of the Covergirl Collection at some point.
These are an interesting take for Covergirl as they are apparently marketed towards a younger girl with Pink being the model for the collection and the colors all being quite vibrant. The price point is quite nice as well at a mere $3.49 each at Harmons. I imagine once they hit CVS and Walgreens they won’t be as kindly priced but if you can snag them at under four bucks I’d say you got a bargain on your hands.
How are they?
Let’s take a look!
Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation got me kinda excited as I like mousse foundations well enough although I did have my mishaps with Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation.
This is a creamy foundation product in the vein of Covergirl TRUblend Whipped Foundation.
