Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Silver Strike is one of those very handy shades of eyeshadow you should have in your stash for the perfect smoky eye look.
Sadly, I haven’t really smoked my eye out in a while using a traditional black and silver shade selection. I feel like it emphasizes my tired eyes in a major way rather than gives them that sultry bedroom look (not that I’ve ever associated my mud brown eyes with a bedroom or sexy time but yeah, you know what I mean! ha!).
Maybelline introduced their Metal range of shades with a metallic finish for Spring 2013. This collection includes five must have shades. Many of these shades had me worried as metallic finishes sometimes go a little frosty on me but thankfully, thus far, they are proving some of my favorites from the Color Tattoo range.
Silver Strike definitely holds a good deal of appeal for a smoky metallic eye look should you desire.
I wasn’t sure I’d like the new Maybelline Instant Age Rewind the Lifter Foundation since I had a rather bad run with Covergirl Olay Tone Rehab.
These foundation with built in serums and primers just don’t seem to work out for me even though I have dry skin. You’d think my skin would love a formula like this but unfortunately, they seem super heavy and greasy on me.
I tried the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind the Lifter Foundation with the idea in my head I’d dislike it but it isn’t as bad as I thought!
Maybelline Age Rewind The Perfector Skin Smoothing Powder promises younger looking skin instantly. This is where everyone runs in circles, throws up there hands, and dances in joy. A powder that can provide younger looking skin? Yes please! Bring it on!
This pressed powder has a built in smoothing primer that perfects skin while adding a touch of radiance for a younger looking skin.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot Concealer + Treatment is a newly formulated Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer which contains vitamin C that helps fight dark spots over time as it covers them. Maybelline promises to visibly decrease dark spots in as little as four weeks so not only does it concealer but it treats aging spots, dark spots, acne scarring, and sunspots.
Concentrated vitamin C is a tricky little ingredient and isn’t always stable or effective at brightening/whitening. I’d probably have to try this for a year or more to see the best results so I’ll only be discussing the texture, coverage, etc…of this as a concealer but not as a treatment.
I like the idea it could be treating my problem areas though and if it works all the better. I’ll update this post should I see any results in the future on dark spots.
Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo 2-in-1 Glossy Liquid Liner ($6.99) is newly launched for Spring 2013 available in six shade selections.
I’m not really a great fan of liquid liners as I simply don’t know how to apply them well but….I know a bad one when I see one.
