Happy Holidays! I can say that officially now that’s it’s December 1st right? I hope you’re enjoying yourselves so far and you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all your friends and family.
Today marks the first day of my 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways on Musings of a Muse. This is my way to give back to YOU considering how much all of you give to me each and everyday particularly those of you who take time out to comment and say hello, tell me about your hauls, etc….I feel like we’ve known each other for years! It’s also my way of saying thanks.
Last year we had a really great time with the giveaways and I can’t help but wish I had a truckle of gifts to give each and everyone!
You might be new around here so just a brief recap about my version of the 12 Days of Christmas.
Basically I’ll be posting a new giveaway every other day and giving you two chances to win that giveaway. This particular giveaway will last one week however other giveaways will last the month through and winners will be alerted via e-mail after the Holiday season!
The prizes range from HUGE and extravagant (at least I think so) to small and fun.
Let’s get on with our first one!
Big girls don’t cry…they don’t cry-ya-ya….they don’t cry. Isn’t that cry-ya-ya the perfect high note for the shower? Not that I sing in the shower. No way, not me.
I do full Broadway style shows in my shower, yeah, well, you’re never seeing that. Admission 1 only.
Speaking of big girls that don’t cry, that happens to be the name of the new Hard Candy Mascara, well, not really, replace girls with curls.
Check it chicks!
Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush launches in January-February, can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned. It’s called Happy Booster because it promises to lift your spirits. Just what I always wanted, a blush to make me happy! The formula has some sort of aromatherapy, color therapy, and texture therapy to stimulate your senses into a happy, joyous place. My happy place is inside a Sephora with a cart full of makeup, maybe Physicians Formula can whisk me away to that special spot.
Arctic rose extract mimics the effects of endorphins where as Euphoryl, rich in Omega-3, is a known anti-depressant. Plus a blend of violet floral notes are included to invigorate and refresh you into a great mood.
If that doesn’t work you can always simply stare at the cute heart shaped design and proceed to smile at how great this blush is. Seriously hearts? Loves it!
The compact with be available in four shades:
- Light Bronzer
Eva Chen recently tweeted an image of a few of the compacts which you can see here.
What do you think of a blush that promises to put you in a bright, happy mood?
Can’t wait for February? Check out the new Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Blushes to tide you over!
As you know the new Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick was available as a special preview at select retailers online recently.
The official line up is in stores December 6th and will feature 44 shades of this new lipstick which sports a formula that not only cover lips in luxurious color but also treats them so you’ll notice smoother, gorgeous lips in as little as 7 days.
I’ve used one a few days here are my thoughts….
They tell me imitation is the highest form of flattery. Perhaps Maybelline Dream Mousse is feeling all kinds of flattered that L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation is looking all kinds of similar.
L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation just recently launched and should be at your local drugstores. It’s a whipped souffle-like foundation much like Dream Mousse. Don’t quote me, I’m not an expert, but this is probably only the second whipped foundation within the US market. I can’t honestly think of another available here in the US.
Now I like whipped foundations ALOT particularly Bourjous’ version, damn that stuff is amazing. However, I’ve had my ups and downs with Dream Mousse and normally stick to using it in the Summer when I want lighter coverage.
I was all about trying this new version from L’Oreal and was quite curious how it would stand up against other formulas I’ve tried in the “whipped” realm.
Let’s have a look!
