Drugstore Makeup Brands
I think I’m about ready to spread the word on the new Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer. Last week I told you about the corrector as they have released a new concealer plus a corrector for extra coverage.
Have a little jump to see what I’m feeling!
So I think I’m actually part of the club now. I’m not entirely sure but I think CVS likes me. Prior to this past month anytime I walked into a drugstore within the US I heard Angels weep. I was actually scared the place would crumble down around my head after passing the threshold. The Muse does not do drugstore makeup and/or skincare. But so many new items have been popping up that have made me curious so I do venture in time to time plus so many of you expressed wanting affordable makeup reviews that I couldn’t simply ignore what you requested. So indeed I’ve been heading to CVS the past month….but the club…
Well I got some sort of coupon in the mail because they have this like extra card thingy that gets you bonus bucks kinda like the Boots Reward Card, not as good mind you. Anyway they sent me $5 off anything in the store via an e-mail so I guess this means I have an in now, I’m part of the secret club, coupons and all!
No seriously I did get the coupon so I did decide I might as well spend it. I ended up hauling Lumene Vitamin C+ Energy Cocktail with the coupon. Mind you not because of the formula but because it looked so pretty, literally like some fancy cocktail, it just needed a little paper umbrella and I’d say it was downright tropical.
Have a jump to see why it’s my latest obsession!
The cosmetic world keeps telling me I have to be HD and Photo ready, I’m gonna take a chance here and say that translates into they want me to have flawless skin because honestly I really don’t need to be HD ready now do I? I’m not going to be on the tube anytime soon so it’s doubtful I really need any of the fanfare and hype that surrounds HD makeup…or do I?
The Muse as the next Paris Hilton.
I think I heard the screeching of a record in the background. Yea, well, I guess my big dreams and hopes of being the next Paris aren’t happening in this lifetime.
I shall worm my way through HD makeup and see how flawless I can be. You see I want to give my skin the potential of being the best it can be.
Revlon PhotoReady Makeup promises to deliver just that….
We shall see!
Check it after the jump!
If you’re by chance starting off your New Year with a resolution of not buying makeup or perhaps buying makeup but trying to keep your purchases on the cheap you can check out the new Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Primer.
Smashbox Primer users rejoice, it’s basically the same exact formula on the cheap.
Grrr L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Cleanser testing is so not going well. Today I’ll be reviewing the L’Oreal Go 360 Deep Cream Cleanser.
First off some minor confusion seems to have cropped up over which cleanser you should choose. All of the cleansers according to details on Target are for normal, combination skin types. This isn’t detailed on the bottles just as read from details on Target’s website and CVS. The only one that is different would be the sensitive skin formula, which obviously is made for sensitive types.
From my own personal experience with the formulas I felt it was broken up best as follows.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Cream Cleanser (Pink) Bottle
This I felt was more for dry skin due to it’s cream formula.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Facial Cleanser (Green)
This I felt was more for normal/combination types although the formula was so terribly drying I’m positive oily skin types will feel right at home using it.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Exfoliating Scrub (Orange)
Since this is a grainy formula I felt it best for dry skin as the scrubby bits should do well to exfoliate dry, flaky skin.
Now I’ve already reviewed L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Facial Cleanser which has successfully created a mess of my skin. I’m terribly dry and flaky after using it a full week and it’s unlikely I’ll go back to trying it. I handed it off to my sister, who’s oily, and she proceeded to say it made her skin feel like plastic after use, not in a good way either.
I’ve been testing out L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Cream Cleanser most of last week and this weekend. I was kinda hopeful the cream cleanser would do better on my suddenly dry skin thanks to my test out with the regular version.
Have a jump to find out.
