Estee Lauder

Last year Estee Lauder introduced a travel exclusive BB Cream available in various airports in Asia. I believe mine came from Japan Duty Free but don’t quote me could have been Singapore.
From what I understand it was later also available in the UK but I can’t confirm this.
They now have a newer version of the cream available on counters in Japan and a few Asian countries called Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Cream SPF 35 where as mine is the CyberWhite Ex Extra Intensive Multi-Action Formula BB Cream SPF 35. After reading up on both it seems they are pretty much the same product but I haven’t tried the Brilliant Cells version so I can’t confirm.
This is probably one of the most expensive BB Creams I own. I’m raking my brain as I have 30-40 tubes in rotation and honestly, I can’t think of a BB Cream that cost me this MUCH. It retails for a whooping ¥5,460 (yen), near $60 USD.
Ouch.
Worth it?
Check it out after the jump!

Estee Lauder introduced two dual sided Shadestick Duos with the Bronze Goddess Collection this year and damn, they sold out fast. I can’t find them online however I’ve seen them at two Estee Lauder counters so if you’re wanting ‘em after this review best get ‘em while the getting is good.
The sticks are great as a base, a liner, or an all over shadow. I was lucky enough to get the Gold Bronze color selection to try out because it’s thee perfect duo for warm, bronze-y eyes for Summer and yes, Summer seems to be nearing New York now. Can’t believe I’m going to say it but Yay! for humidity!

Embracing the orange trend this Spring/Summer? I’m trying to but it’s hard to pull off in my humblest particularly lip wise. But I’m kinda loving the Estee Lauder Orange Crush Collection plus it looks utterly wearable.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year kids. It’s Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2011 time! I wait patiently for this release very year and ever always get excited when I hear the world of its release. The Bronze Goddess Collection is what Santa is to that five year old child hoping for tons of pressies under the tree to me.
God, I love this time of the year and Estee Lauder doesn’t fail to inject a healthy bit of tropical paradise and warm sun on my face just when I’m started to get a bad case of cabin fever thanks to the harsh, cold Winter we’ve had.
What’s in store for us this year from the collection?
Well, it should excite some!

The Estee Lauder Wild Violet Makeup Color for Spring 2011 brings to the table shades of gorgeous purple. Many embrace hues of purple for Spring and this embodies the shade beautifully.
Along with the collection Estee Lauder introduces new, limited edition Pure Color Gelee which has a light weight, long wearing formula that leaves behind a sheet burst of color. The formula mimics that of Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Lipglosses but has a more subtle color pay off.
If you missed out on the Gloss Fluo De Chanel or you already own them and adore the formula, Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Gelee will really capture your interest!

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant by Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux proves that Estee Lauder is not your grandmother’s cosmetic company. This collection features some key pieces that will surely become must have items as soon as you see them for yourself particularly if you love cosmetics that give a timeless beauty option.
I’m more than thrilled about this exciting Holiday release because it truly brings elegant makeup to the table. If your a fond fan of brands such as Givenchy, Guerlain, etc…but aren’t a fan of the higher price tags, this collection is something you should take into consideration for your Holiday looks!

Everyday I thank the Makeup Gods for blessing us with Tom Pecheux. Since filling the Estee Lauder Creative Makeup Director position, Tom Pecheux has taken the brand, in my opinion, to the next level.
It’s ok, you can admit it, you probably feel like Estee Lauder leans more towards your grandmother’s style makeup right? Hey, I’m there with you. Estee Lauder definitely has a mature audience and hasn’t really ventured past that for many years.
With Tom Pecheux filling the creative director chair at Estee Lauder the brand has started to have a more universal appeal. Collections and colors are becoming more and more interesting and with time I imagine and patience plus more releases like we’ve been seeing as of late, Estee Lauder will not longer be associated with your great aunts and grandmothers.
This proves true with a very interesting limited edition collection Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant Collection by Tom Pecheux that releases with the Estee Lauder Holiday Collection 2010 this year.

Gather round kids. I have to tell you a secret.
Fashion Week model looks do nothing for me.
GASP!
Outrage!
OMG!
I think they could possible torture and hang me for saying something like that. It might even be against the law.
Here’s the deal.
I’ve gotten 100′s of e-mails these past few days featuring 1000′s of made up models featuring various looks from various brands but honestly nothing captures me. It seems like the golden rule for Fashion Week is really nude, natural unflattering looks or something so outrageous that no one would honestly wear it like eyeshadow on someone’s forehead or something crazy like that.
I can’t be alone in my thoughts here.
Or am I?
Crickets?
Well…
After skimming through dozens and dozens of models this week and just feeling meh, I finally came across a bit of a yay with Estee Lauder Derek Lam for SS2011 Runway Show.
They did some amazing looks using pops of vibrant orange and coral which totally caught my fancy and had me thinking how major the models looked.
Check it and tell me what you think!

I gotta say I’m not particularly keen on Estee Lauder lip products simply because of the packaging and the taste. Yes, yes we are all terrible package junkies and shallow enough to admit that Estee Lauder packaging is simply NOT cute enough for most of us. I try to tame my shallow good nature when shopping EL simply because they actually have some incredibly cool products.
Now another thing….
I love many of the lip products that the brand does but the taste is a tad off putting at times. It’s a cherryish, perfum-y fruity something or another. Now the fruity is great but it’s the mix of perfume that makes me cringe.
Putting these flaws aside I must say I really fell in love with the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss. Incredibly lovely stuff. Although I already reviewed these I wanted to take a minute just to do a brief recap and some more swatches from my recent Nordstrom pre-order as I got four more shades of these bad boys and they are too gorgeous not to share.
You might fall in love with the shades I picked!
