Not so long ago I reviewed Givenchy Mister Bright
for you. Mister Bright was a fond friend of the Muse’s this past Winter. He brightened my eyes, made me look less tired, acted as a great primer for shadows, and just made my face glow. Recently, I was introduced to Givenchy Mister Bright Sun and now I have a new found friend. I can place Mister Bright temporarily away for the warmer weather, haul out Mister Bright Sun, and look fresh, sunkissed, and golden with a few clicks!
Check out the review after the jump!
Where as the regular shade of Mister Bright in Dawnlight is a pale, shimmering highlighter the newest shade in Sunlight is a golden, penny bronze shade that can be used on cheeks and face to create a sunkissed glow in one easy click and blend!
From my experience using the pink version of the pen I knew a little would go a long way so when I tried out the newest shade for Summer I wasn’t surprised in the least that a simple swipe would get my cheeks glowing.
If you happen to be scared of bronzers or not a big lover of matte bronzing powders, Givenchy Mister Bright Sun will be your best friend. The formula is creamy and easy to blend with a touch of a shimmery finish and a pretty coppery bronze shade that mimics that of a brand new penny. It gives cheeks and face just the right amount of a Summer sunny glow which is very natural and pretty. The end result is you’ll look like you were wandering around in the Summer sun for an hour or two but in reality a simple blend of this was all you used.
If you’re feeling a bit daring you can swipe across lids, blend, and place some shadow on top for a bright, Summery eye look!
Personally, Givenchy Mister Bright Sun tops my list for a great way to get a Summery look without ever having the step in the sun!
Keep in mind the flash from the camera picks up shimmer a whole lot more and the finish is alot less shimmery than it appears on my cheeks in the photo below.
I recently did an FOTD
for you using Givenchy Sari Glow Blush in Maharani Orange, Givenchy Precious Sari Glittering Eyeshadow in Maharani Gold, and Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Maharani Henna and today I’ll be bringing you another look using some of the items from the Givenchy Spring Collection 2009.
Jump ahead to have a peek!
Since I’ve already done a warmer looking using some of the Givenchy Spring Collection, I thought a cooler order was in order. For the cooler look I used Givenchy Sari Glow Blush in Maharani Pink and Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Maharani Rose. I was tempted to use Givenchy Precious Sari Glittering Eyeshadow in Maharani Silver but I thought it didn’t quite go so well with all the pink so I opted for a wash of color using a few MAC eye shadows in various pink shades.
The pink blush wasn’t as popping as I thought it would be and it came out as a basic pink shade on my cheeks, quite flattering really but nothing as bold as I originally though. I’m absolutely in deeper lust now after trying out the Maharani Rose lippie! It’s a stunning shade and quite lovely for Spring.
Here’s the basic look I created using the above listed items:
Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was busy as bloody hell but great!
Anyway, today I thought I’d share an FOTD with you using some of the yummy items from the Givenchy Spring Collection 2009.
Jump ahead to view it and tell me whatcha think!
What I Used:
Givenchy Sari Glow Blush in Maharani Orange
Givenchy Precious Sari Glittering Eyeshadow in Maharani Gold
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Maharani Henna
Yesterday I gave you quite a chunk of the Givenchy Spring Collection to chew on. Did you enjoy those bites of goodness?
Your Muse sure hopes so!
Today I’ll be introducing you to the two new shades of Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick.
Excited? Two new shades of Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick were introduced to compliment the Indian inspired Spring Collection and both are rather stunning. Maharani Rose is my favorite of the two as it’s a unique shade of rose that gives my lips just the right touch of natural pink. I was a tad bit disappointed with Maharani Henna as I thought it would be a deeper shade of red. Although Maharani Henna is advertised as a warm brick red I felt like it was more of a deep peach shade and easily duped by other colors in my lipstick library. Kinda bummed about this one as I was hoping for some sort of popping red to match up well with the bright hues of the Givenchy Sari Glow Blushes BUT the good news is I actually think the shade is quite lovely and a nice touch for Spring or Summer looks.
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick are all quite matte at least the shades I’ve tried however even though I’m no great lover of mattes shades I must say that every shade I’ve purchased has always pleased me since the formula is so great. The formula is a luscious moisturizing blend that leaves lips with glossy and full of color thanks to the great pigmentation of the product.
Both of the new shades compliment the Spring Collection perfectly and even though I was slightly disappointed with one I still felt like it was a welcome addiction to the entire line up.
All in all Givenchy Spring 2009 could be shaping up to top this Muse’s favorite list for the Season!
