Dark spots, getting a ton of coverage in the beauty world lately aren’t they?
Brands keep releasing dark spot correctors, serums, potions, and lotions but many of them do not contain the necessary ingredients to really aid in lightening darkness.
Kate Somerville Complexion Correction Spot Reducing Concentrate contains the gold standard of ingredients for lightening dark spots, 2% Hydroquinone.
The good news? It works.
The bad? You’ll have to wait around for the results.

Kate Somerville Complexion Correction Overnight Discoloration Perfector is one of three dark spot corrector treatments that Kate offers in her skincare collection. There’s a daily moisturizer, this overnight moisturizer, and also a dark spot treatment to use along with the other two.
I’ve actually been using and testing all three out since I purchased them back in December during a Friends and Family event that Kate had. I’m a strong supporter of Kate’s exfoliator but I’m not particularly keen on her skincare as my experience with her products hasn’t been fantastic.
I decided to wait patiently to indulge in her dark spot moisturizers and correctors until a sale knowing my track record with other products I tried from her as her products aren’t exactly cheap.
Kate Somerville Complexion Correction Overnight Discoloration Perfector is $70 for an a 1 oz tube so my reservations are probably understandable.
Let’s take a look!

Since I’m perfectly happy with my Philosophy Miracle Worker nightly regime I wasn’t really interested in adding an AHA serum to the mix. I want smoother, brighter skin and all the Miracle Worker products do just that for me but I also wanted to refine my skin so drier areas were smoother plus I wanted to address minor hyper pigmentation I have on my lower jawline.
So I recently indulged in the Kate Somerville Clinic-To-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads. I generally like Kate’s products and I was quite excited to add these to my regime.

Paula Begoun says that ExfoliKATE is an “expensive mistake”. I beg to differ. I freaking love it. Best exfoliating treatment I’ve ever had the pleasure of using although I do agree with one thing Paula says which is that it’s damn expensive…but hey, who said good product comes cheap?
Since ExfoliKATE works so incredibly well I’m willing to shell out my next paycheck on the new Kate Somerville Complexion Correction Collection which is a range of moisturizers and treatment products for brightening skin and easing dark spots.

I love me some ExfoliKate, such a miracle product so I’m kinda wanting to try out Kate Somerville Clinic-to-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads now! I think this will be my next purchase from Kate!
These are shaped like little mittens and are a buffing pad packed with lactic acid, myrtle extract, and sage left extract to resurface the skin and renew it.
They recommend them for sensitive, problematic, acne skin types however they can easily be used on most skin types, good news for me w00t! It promises smooth, youthful skin in 28 days, I’m in for that!
The box includes 16 applications for $48.
I’m interested and debating on an indulgence at the moment! Kate’s products, so far, are the only ones that give me an at home facial experience so I’m def leaning towards a yay on these.
What do you think?
