I guess it’s getting closer to Fall 2015 Makeup Collections now if this limited edition Jason Wu for Lancome All Over Face Palette ($60) is popping up! Jason Wu has two Lancome collaborations under his belt now so could this face palette be a hint at another one on the way for Fall 2015?
I haven’t purchased Lancome Mascara in years so I decided to grab Lancome Grandiose Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara recently to make up for being so remiss with Lancome. For me, sorry, Lancome mascaras are typically a miss. I don’t have an issue paying big bucks for mascara as for me it is a splurge item in all honesty as I’m never very happy with the results of drugstore mascaras. However, it’s when I pay $25 and the formula is rubbish that I rant.
I feel like Lancome Grandiose Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara is one of those mascara that has both pros and cons but the cons seem to outweigh the pros.
Let’s take a look!
Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Foundation is Lancome’s new, first ever cushion makeup which has debuted for Spring 2015 in the permanent Lancome Makeup Collection. I’m hearing a lot about how this is the “first ever cushion makeup”…ummm no. This isn’t the first ever cushion makeup as we’ve seen plenty of it from Korean brands in the last two or so years so there isn’t really anything new about it.
However, if you aren’t privy to the Asian beauty world it will feel like a completely new, unique, and innovative product. But….you have to also keep in mind that we’ve already had cushion makeup in the US market for the past several months and even so far back as a year if you take into consideration that Amore Pacific brought their Cushion Compact to the US in 2013 and more recently both It Cosmetics and Mally Beauty have introduced cushion makeup products.
So yeah, Lancome Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Foundation doesn’t quite fit the bill for BRAND new or innovative but none the less it is an exciting launch for the brand.
Funny story for you! I purchased five shades of Lancome Shine Lover Vibrant Shine Lipstick ($25) and all but one went back to Sephora.
